"TAP TAP TAP" Ayumi stirred in her sleep "TAP TAP TAP" Ayumi began to move her eyes, her lids still closed. "TAP TAP TAP" Ayumi groaned and sat up in bed. "All right all right I'm up what the bloody hell do you want?!" Ayumi looked around to see that no one was there. "TAP TAP TAP" Then she finally realized that the sound was coming from her window. SHe looked and saw her owl Raven outside the window. Ayumi rushed out of bed and opened the window. "Sorry Raven, completely forgot, but you know how bugs get in when the windows open." Raven flew in and hooted, she flew into her cage and fell asleep. Ayumi sighed. She looked out the window and saw the overcasting shadow of her family's castle. "Funny, we live in such a huge manor, yet no one is ever home." Ayumi muttered to herself. But what she said was true, no one expect herself the house-elves, and Raven were ever home. Her mother and father would pop in and out of the house but never stay. Her mother attending to her witch duties, and her father attending to he's muggle duties. Ayumi walked away from her window and went to take a shower. "I wish that the term would start already" Ayumi said under the jetting water "There's no one ever here, all I do is practice spells and that's all, what else am I supposed to do!" She yelled, startling herself. She cooled herself down and finished her shower. She dried herself off and pulled on a dark plaid skirt and a black collared button up shirt. She then pulled on a pair of long black socks, followed by black mary-jane platforms. She then brushed her hair out placed it into a half-bun, leaving out strands of hair which were spiked. Then she pulled on her black robe and left her room. She walked down the long corridor and eyes the many portraits on the wall. They were all still asleep. She clambered down the stairs and into the dining room. As usual, no one was there, but breakfast lay on the table. Ayumi took a seat at the long mahogany table and poured herself a cup of tea. Staring at the roaring flames in the fire place, she sipped the tea. "Another lonesome day, at the kimoto manor, what will Ayumi do now?" She said in a low sarcastic tone, and began biting into a bagel.

Ayumi slowly ate her bagel, but drank her tea mostly. Piles of food lay in front of her, but she just didn't have the appetite to eat them all. She continued staring at the flame, hoping someone would just emerge from there. To greet her, to talk to her, to take her out of her entrapment. There were times when she hated her family, their abscence lead her to a quite solitude state of mind. She rarely wished to be around people, and if she was, she would never socialize. But then again, her parent's always had something to do, something important. "THUMP" The dining room door slammed. Ayumi jumped and looked to see who had entered. She was disappointed to see that it was only their house elf Ferrow. "Master Ayumi, didn't know you were here, it is so quiet in this house." Ferrow said looking startled at the girl, who sat herself down into the chair. "Yes Ferrow it is always quiet, did mother or father come in last night at all?" Ayumi asked looking down at the elf. "No master, your father called, he said he would be away on a business trip in America. As for your mother, she continues to scour holland." Ferrow answered. "Oh" Ayumi said glumly "Thank you Ferrow." "Your welcome master." Ferrow said, as he walked out of the room. Ayumi listened to he's tiny footsteps disappear. It left echoes throughout the house. Ayumi sighed, "No one here, no one ever ever." "I wish hogwarts started or at least I had some wizardy friends. But I don't"
Ayumi finsihed her tea and left the dining room, she felt guilty for leaving all that food, but it wasn't her fault. She walked into the living room and saw that it was only 8:15am on the grandfather clock. "Another long uneventful day." Ayumi hissed. She sat back on a black leather chair and opened a book on spells. Currently she was reading up on the Waddiwasi spell. It was quite interesting, it shoot objects at high speeds. However, it quickly bored Ayumi, as much as she loved to use her wand, using it all the time bored her. She dropped the book and walked up the grand stair case. Only the reach a landing with a long corrider that lead to many rooms. Nothing new. She walked down the corridor and out onto the balcony. The sun had not fully risen yet, and the air was still moist. Ayumi stretched her hands and breathed in the air. "mmm I should fly around in the courtyard for awhile. Besides I haven't tooken out the Nimbus 01 out for a while now." Ayumi said thoughtfully. She walked back into the corridor and down the stairs. She exited through the back door and out into the yard. It was a large yard, with a large amount of space. It was as big as 8 football field. Ayumi grabbed her Nimbus and postioned herself to get ready for flight. She closed her eyes and felt herself rise. Soon see was in the air, breathing in the breeze, and letting the cool moist air slap her face.

--Later that day
Ayumi returned home, both flustered and nervous. She stood infront of the tall oak doors, behind of which she did not know what would lie. She took a deep breathe and pushed the door open. She was both wandless and was full of worry. Replaying the events that occured today in her mind, she slowly began to feel nervous. Attacking that squib had not been her most brightest idea, but inside she felt it was still somehow worth it. However the cost was dear. Ayumi made silent footsteps across the long entrance hall and made her way towards the living room. Keeping her ears perked for any sound. None had escaped, so she guessed that no one was home. She let out a sigh of relief and walked into the large lving room. "Explain yourself." said a very cold voice from behind a tall leather chair. Though the features of the person were not visible, Ayumi knew very well who it was. Ayumi stood, immobolized, she couldn't move or speak. "Sit." said the voice, now even more harshly. Obiediently, Ayumi sat across the tall chair, as she walked towards the chair, she closed her eyes, and took a seat, sitting up straight and formal. Finally she opened her eyes and looked at the person who sat across her. It was her mother, looking both Stern and tired, she had her legs crossed and both her fingers pressed together as she sat straight agaisnt the chair. She wore a long jet black robe made of silk and underneath that a long black dress that fit tightly on her and had ruffles on the bottom. On her feet, she wore pointy heeled boots. Her hair was the same dark black as Ayumi's except it was much longer and feel down her back, perfectly smooth and straight. Her eyes were Dark brown and held a very cold stare, which sent a shiver down Ayumi's spine. After a moment of silence, Ayumi's mother began speaking, in an almost too calm voice. "I traveled all the way from Holland, I had to cancel my duty as a hunter, I was interrupted from my hunting by an owl." her voice was begining to rise, but then quickly softened, "All because my daugther has conjured a spell to attack a squib at a local pub. And to open a enevelop containg both her wand, and a letter from a teacher from hogwarts." Her voice was still soft, but her mouth was twitching wildly, and her fingers were begining to press into each other. "Now, all I want is a simple explanation as to why you did it Ayumi, why?" She said looking straight at ayumi and giving her a death look. "M-mother, I am terribly, greatfully, mournfully sorry, I understand that this will not be enough to erase what I have done, but I am." Ayumi said in a quavering voice. Her mother, was something to fear, especially when she was mad. Ayumi's mother looked at her, not satisfied, she instantly sprang up and pushed aside a tea tray, sending pieces of glass and tea everywhere. "I DO NOT CARE IF YOU ARE SORRY, I DO NOT CARE HOW SORRY YOU ARE, THE FACT IS YOU ATTACKED A INNOCENT MAN IN A PUBLIC AREA, AND THOUGHT YOU COULD GET AWAY WITH THAT, IN ADDITION, YOU ALMOST GOT YOUR SELF EXPELLED, AND ADDED A SECOND PERSON IN YOUR LITTLE GAME! AYUMI I THOUGHT YOU KNEW BETTER THAN THIS! THE KIMOTO NAME HAS ALREADY BEEN DEGRADED, MUST YOU GO AND MAKE THINGS SO MUCH MORE COMPLEX!!!"Her mother yelled, her shouts echoing out through the empty house, though her viens were about to explode, her complexion stayed to it's pale white. Ayumi shrank back into the chair, and felt tears rolling down her cheeks. They were cold, just how she felt. Her mother turned around, and stared at her coldly, she gave Ayumi a last cold look and strode towards her, her viens returning to normal, and her voice softening, she kneeled down and held Ayumi's face in one hand, "Ayumi, I can ask you why a million times, and there will not be a precise answer, but I can only hope that yo have learned from your mistake. Please Ayumi, never do something like this again, if you are, at least be on school grounds." She gave Ayumi a warm look and hugged her. Ayumi hugged her back and let the tears roll down. After a few minutes, her mother let her go and began wiping Ayumi's face a hankerchief. " Now, you will attend those 21 days of detention when you go to hogwarts, and you will make sure that you do whatever you are told, understood?" Ayumi nodded "And as for this" her mother said as she pulled out Ayumi's wand, "I will let you hold it, trusting that you won't perform another crazy stunt like that again. PLease use your hands to throw bottles not magic." Her mother said jokingly. When she was done, she handed Ayumi's wand back to her and walked out of the room. Ayumi listened the footsteps fade as they waked up the stairs. When they were gone, Ayumi looked down at her wand. She smiled down at it and placed it in her robes. She took one look at the roaring fire in the grate and walked out of the living room, up the grand staircase, and into her room, where she would sleep and forget this all happened

Ayumi's eyes opened almost automatically, she sat up in her bed and waited for her eyes to adjust to the still dark. When it finally did, she looked at her bedside table and checked the time. It was 1:35 in the morning. "Ugh, so early." Ayumi groaned to herself. She slowly got out of bed and placed her feet on the ice cold floor. She shivered then snapped out of it. She looked at the corner of her room and saw that Raven was not in it, doubt out hunting. She walked across her room and opened her door to reveal a dark hallway. When she stepped out of it, she felt uncomfortable, but continued on. She walked towards her parent's bedroom, and peered inside. No one lay in the bed, however, Ayumi saw that her mother had changed her attire and left her belongings on the bed. Ayumi knew her mom was still home, because she would never leave the house like this. Ayumi walked away from her parent's bedroom and down the grand staircase. As she neared the bottom landing, the light shone upon her and reavealed the red pajamas she wore. When she walked into the living room, she saw that the fire had gone out, and the tea tray her mother had pushed forcibly to the floor earlier was already clean. However, no one was in the living room except herself. Ayumi sighed and walked towards the bathroom. She stopped however when she spelled something strange coming from down the corridor. Curious, she walked towards the smell, it was coming stronger and stronger, and more vile. Ayumi choked, and continued on. "What the devil is that?" She asked herself as she neared the scent. She stopped when she finally reached the area of the smell. She was shocked to see it was coming from her mother's study. "What would mother be doing her there, especially with a bunch of books, what'll make that kind of smell?" Ayumi said in a puzzled voice. She looked at the door and saw that some strange scripture was imbedded into it. It looked like Japanese Hiragani, except with a western touch to it. She ran her finger onto the engraving, following it's curves, when she noticed something red flowing down the door. She looked closely at it and was astounded to see it was blood, not only that, but it was here blood. Ayumi quickly took her finger off the door and looked at it, it was cut, but no severly. She stared at the door, wondering why her mother had put this on it. Ayumi curiousity could not be left unanswered, she lifted her hand and rapped on the door. No answer, she did it again, "Mother, may I come in" still no answer. Ayumi shrugged her shoulders and slowly pushed the door open. She left it open a crack so she could at least put her head through. What she saw, was her mother standing in the middle of a circle that looked as if it was carved into the stone floor. "Mother's study is a room made of stone..." Ayumi said to herself, staring at the circle. Around the cirlce were symbols, similar to the one on the door but in different shapes. Inside the circle were pieces of scripture paper, that had more strange symbols on them. Ayumi glanced at her mother and noticed that she was muttering a different language. A language she never heard of. She then glanced back at the circle and saw that it had a crimson liquid swirling inside of it, she gasped and stared at it, the vile smell was coming from that red liquid, which was blood! Ayumi closed the door shut and ran to the bathroom. She washed her eyes out with cold water, trying to assure herself that she was just dreaming, but she wasn't. "What was that language that mother was speaking, and those carvings what did they mean?" Ayumi said, as she sat on the toliet after securely locking the door. She wrapped her hands arounde her knees and pondered. Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard her mother walking past the bathroom door. Ayumi slid off the Toliet and unlocked the door. She opened it and watched her mother disappear around the corner. Ayumi took in a deep breathe and walked out of the bathroom. She walked across the living room and broke into a run as she neared her mother's study. The vile smell was gone, Ayumi had noticed. When she had reached the study, she looked around, and opened the door and entered. It was different now, for one the smell was gone, and the scriptures and carvings were gone. The carved circle remained, but no blood flowed through it. Ayumi sighed and walked towards the desk that lay in the corner of the room. She passed many shelves, they had strange devices in them, others had potions, and others's had books. The desk had many papers, files, and folders. Ayumi looked down at the papers and began rumaging through them. She found a file that had a strange creature's photo. She looked through it and noticed that it was called a Tremioff, it was a creature that sucked the blood and bones dry out of muggles. As she continued reading the file, she saw at the bottom, captured, June 28, by Hunter Mai Kimoto. "Hunter Mai Kimoto, mother a hunter?" Ayumi questioned herself as she repeated the words. "Mother said she was an auror, that I know, but a hunter?" ayumi dropped the file and scavenged through the rest. "hunter kimoto, hunter kimoto, Hunter Mai Kimoto captured a Cradlejack." Ayumi dropped the files. "My Mother's a hunter?" Ayumi placed her hand on the desk "But what exactly does she hunt. And why the devil does she need all these things" She said looking around at the instruments. Ayumi began to enter her state of pondering when all of a sudden, she heard the footsteps of her mother, coming fast. Ayumi looked around the room and quickly dived under the desk. She clutched her knees, and thought to herself, "Why am I hiding, would mother be mad if I stumbled across this? It's not that'a big a secret." But Ayumi quickly exited her thought stage and held her breathe as her mother entered the room.

Ayumi held her breathe as her mother took a seat at the desk. She tried to fit into the corner as much as she could, but the human body had it's limits. Ayumi listened as her mother began to fix the papers on the desk, muttering words under her breathe. She seemed to be in a hurry, and sounded very tired. Ayumi couldn't blame her, she looked like she was up all night. Ayumi's body began to cramp, and she felt this horrible itch that she could not scratch. Sweating and breathing smoothly, Ayumi continued to listen to her mother. Then she heard something being tapped, it sounded like something agaisnt glass. Then Ayumi's mother's face came out and said, "Carver Kingsley." And instantly the object she talked to talked back to her. "Mai we need you back in Holland now, immediatly!" said the voice, sounding both harsh and drastic. "I know I know Carver, I was just performing a ritual to locate that last Knarlip, but I've got nothing" Her mother answered, rubbing a hand over her eyes, trying desperately to stay awake. "Forget the Knarlip, we got a Perixsies on the Loose, already stunned 5 muggles, you gotta get this one, he's pretty slick." Carver said, now more urgently. "Carver, I was up all night searching for that damn Knarlip!" Mai said banging her hand on the table." And now you want me to go after a Perixsies, for gods sake, that's like a pixie with look claws and big feet, get someone else to get it, this knarlip is a major threat!" She finished, her fist tightening on top of the desk. Ayumi shuddered, her both sounded so grim at the moment. She did not want to be caught by her. "But Mai, this is urgent..." The man Carver said, his voice trailing off, "We really need you" Mai rubbed her eyes and held up her wand. "Carver, I am going to close this meeting, and I am not going to Holland, My initial job was to capture the Knarlip and now you want be to chase after some fairy sort of creature, get another hunter Carver, there are plenty, as for me, I am going to sleep, something I had not had for the past few days." My mother said coldly, tapping the glass object with stopped the voice from talking. She sighed and held her face in one hand. Ayumi, let out a silent breathe and regretted it. "Ayumi, get out from under my desk please." She heard her mother's voice say, in a tired but calm voice. Ayumi crawled out of it and stood in from of her mother, she looked a wreck, wearing her dress and her boots, her face was paler that usual and her eyes were almost bloodshot, bags had formed under them, taking away her youthful look. Ayumi stared at her mother who was tired out of her mind. "S-sorry mother." Ayumi said quickly and quietly. "Why apologize Ayumi?" her mother asked, and continued, "I am an Auror, that you are aware of?" Ayumi nodded. "And I am also a hunter, I hunt magical beasts, or in Japan known as Wych-kin. This is your future Ayumi, learn from it. That is all I have to say. The Kimoto family have spread this in their blood for many generations. This is what you will have to carry on." Her mother finished, getting up and walking past Ayumi. "Get back in bed, you'd best get your sleep." Her mother said as she left the study and progressed towards her bedroom. No doubt anticipating that sleep. Ayumi absorbed in the words her mother spoke, she understood her being an auror, and that she would have to be too, but a hunter?" Ayumi began walking back to her room. "A hunter, hunting wych-kin? And she had to follow this to keep the kimoto name alive?" Ayumi had too many questions, and when she reached her bed, she lay awake for a few hours, pondering about these many questions.

Ayumi felt the rush of flames tickle her skin as she left the Leaky Cauldron, then in an instant the feeling disappeared and she was back in her Living Room. She stepped out of the Fire and brushed the soot off her robe. It was good to be back home, she hated the fact that she had to stay in some room at the Leaky cauldron. She smiled, breathing in, admiring the potraits that stood all over the living room walls, it held the stern faces of all the Kimoto family. She turned around looking at the fire place, waiting for Liam to emerge.

Liam was swirling around for what seemed for a few minutes, when he felt the feeling of a hard surface under his feet. He knew that he'd reached his destination.
As he stepped out of the fireplace, he hit his head on the mantle. "Ow, that hurt," he said with a laugh. He looked around the room, where he saw many stern looking face stareing back at him, then he saw Ayumi waiting for him.
"So, this is your home? It looks quite nice, it remindes me of my house."

Ayumi giggled at Liam when he entered. "Yea, I used to bump my head there too." She said smiling. She looked around and nodded at Liam's comment. "Yes it is rather nice, though it's always empty, and those potraits, sometimes get to me, can't anyone in the Kimoto family ever smile." She said with a slight laugh.
"Anyway, enough about my house, let's get to that study." She said as she walked towards a corridor made of stones, lit by torches nailed to the wall. She disappeared into the darkness, her boots echoing throughout the hall. She finally stopped in front of the door with a strange symbol engraved into it, and waited for Liam to be by her side.

As Liam continued to look around the room, he heard Ayumi exit and head down the hall. Liam quickly followed her, and was met by a very dark corridor, lit only by torches on the wall.
Liam heard the sound of Ayumi's boots on the stone floor. He looked in the direction of the sound and saw Ayumi's outline. He quickly turned and hurried down the corridor to where Ayumi was waiting.
When he reached her, Liam asked, "Is this it, Ayumi? Is this your mother's study?"

Ayumi continued to stare at the symbol, when she finally heard Liam arrive, she began to speak, "see that symbol on the door. It's strange, it's a mixture of eastern and western characters." she said, "And when i touched it, it made a deep cut in my finger." She finished.
Ayumi took a deep breathe in and opened the door, It creaked open and revealed the stony chamber. The same thin circular ingraving in the middle of the room. "See that" Ayumi said pointing to it, "Last time I came in here, well spied on my mom, it was filled with blood." She stopped talking and pointed to the books. "There is all the information you might need" She said as she walked towards it and pulled out a book. "WEll come on, what are you waiting for, get a book." She said turning back to Liam

Liam didn't have to be told twice. He looked away from the symbol and took a book. He went and sat down next to Ayumi, and started reading, all the while thinking, 'I hope these books have what I'm looking for.'
He gazed through the book he was holding before stopping at an interesting subject. He read the title over and over again. 'The Cult's of the Far East,' he thought to himself. 'This has got to have some information.'

Ayumi looked at as Liam sat next to her, they both had their backs agaisnt the stone walls, though it was uncomfortable, Ayumi didn't really mind it, she was too engulfed in her book.
"Ah know this, we know this, explained this." She said to herself in a low mutter, using her finger to quickly scroll the pages. The she exclaimed loudly, She read it aloud, "Rumors have been spread that due to the many successful undercover wizards and witches, some of the cults broke up. As for others, they spread out, taking their anicient black magic from Japan, to to western worlds, thus expanding their cults." During the 15th century, cults were only known througout Japan, but it all changed in the 18th century." She said, stopping to take a breathe and looking at Liam, waiting for he's reply.

Liam sat and thought for a moment, and then said, "That would make more since. I mean if I was being hunted I would leave one place for another."
Liam stopped to look through his book, skimming the pages as fast as he cold, the pain in his back growing worse. "Japanese cult's have spread or joined other's throughout the east and Europe since the mid 18th century, living a path of mysterious death's or disappearances, although, not all were accually related to the cult's. Only a select few cases were truely the work of the cult's." Liam stopped to catch his breath before he continued. "Most of the deaths or disappearances were done by those impersonating the cult's. The true followers of these cult's prefered to attack those who were powerful in witchcraft. The imposters, would attack muggles or weaker witches and wizards."
Again Liam stopped, this time in anger. "I can't believe it, why would people pretend to be in one of these cult's, and why would they attack those weaker than they? I hate people like that."
Liam closed his book, and set it aside, waiting for Ayumi's responce.

Ayumi listened as Liam read from he's book, she fidgeted because her back was begining to hurt from the stone wall. She wondered if some of those cults existed today, in London.
Ayumi looked at LIam, sharing he's anger, "Those who probably posed as members of the cult are probably those who desired power. They most likey thought if they killed a few witches and wizards they would me recognized as something." she sighed, "It's sad how people will go for power."
She looked back at her book, skimming through the pages, but not finding much, then she saw a few pictures, "Holy, look at this." She said showing him a picture, she read the caption below. "The bands of cults that exist today are usually found prowling the streets in the dark, wearing long black hooded robes and known to wear masks underneath them." she scrolled down and pointed to another picture. which showed a man wearing a mask, looking strangely like a ragged pieces stitched together. Though it was just rags, it looked eeirely like skin pieces sewn together. "Stitchface, that was he's name, was captured on the April of 1990. He was known for the murders of some great wizarding families, those included Mudrobluck, Icnosmel, and possibly the Angelus family. Stitchface has never revealed he's true name, but was executed on April 28, at 8:45am. Sticthface may have been leader of the dark cults because soon after, the killings slowly died out." Ayumi finished breathing in deeply, patiently waiting for LIam's response, was this the information that they needed?

Liam sat and looked at the picture. He felt the anger rising in him to a point where he thought it would blow a hole in the back of his head. "I'm gald he's dead, even if he isn't the one who killed my parents. He got what he deserved. I just wish I knew if he is the one responsible for taking my parents from me," Liam said as the anger followed through every part of his body.
Liam got up to his feet, pacing back and forth with his head tilted down and his hands behind his back. "What do you think about all of this, Ayumi?" Liam finally asked.

Ayumi felt the tension rise in Liam as anger invaded he's mind. She moved sideways a bit just in case he did something drastic.
She held her head down as Liam stood up and began pacing the room. The she cocked her head back up and looked at Liam, thinking thoughtfull about his question.
"Well I'm intrigued that a cult like this actually existed and also relocated, interested if these cults still exist today, and well I guess I'm glad this horrifying stitch face is dead, but do all these information we have actually help us draw a conclusion?" She asked thoughtfully

Liam stopped pacing, and looked at Ayumi. He then said, "It does answer some questions, but it also brings up others. Like, if they thought this Stitchface was involved with my parents death, then do they know what happened to there bodies? I mean, they said that their deaths were linked to him, so they would have some clue as to where their bodies are, right?"
Liam started pacing again, pondering this question, but it seemed to him that whomever captured and killed Stitchface, should know what happened to his parents. Liam felt his stomach getting upset. Knowing it was from hunger, he asked, "Do you have anything to eat in here?"

Ayumi pondered thoughtfully about Liam's response, he was right, and what he said was true. She sighed hesistantly then looked back up, "Yes, but who could actually capture Stitchface." She said, looking back at the book, "It says here that stitchface covered he's tracks well, and every month he killed at least one witch and one wizard, after stalking them, wow what a freak." She said.
She then stopped pondering when Liam asked her if there was any food, "Course there is." She said standing up and stretching, she walked across the room and opened the door, "Come on, let's get to the dining room, dinner should be there." She finished, walking out.
