As she neared her "home", Vanessa recognized the familiar air of unwanted company. Could she ever get anything done without him following her all the way home. She turned on her heel and stared briskly down at the white dog that had followed her from the music hall, pointed in the opposite direction.
"Shoo! Go!" Vanessa exclaimed. She was even going as far as jumping up and down to get the dog to turn back. That dog had been following her for 17 blocks, sh was getting sick of it. Why there were so many strays in the area she lived in, was beyond her wildest imagination, but she got used to it after awhile.
"Alright, fine. You can follow me home. But you aren't coming in!" Vanessa exclaimed as she continued her walk to her house. The wind rustled some near by trees and the air smelled like the beginning of summer, which it was. Vanessa loved tht familiar smell of her home town, it reminded her so much of so many things that she forgot over the school term.
The Link House appeared into view. Standing grandly above all the other houses around it. The lawn, lush green with tacky pink flamnigos boarding off the neighbors lush green lawn, that didn't have tacky flamingos, but neat little white fences. Pebbles were strewn onto the driveway from the path way to the door, which was extremely huge.
"Home sweet home..."Vanessa muttered to herself as she made her way up the pathway and into the house. The air conditioning met her and she sighed in relief as the smell of lunch met her nose. Her piano sat in the entrance hallway, and she brushed her fingers against the keys as she made her way to the kitchn, she was itching to play.
