Jordan Cortes loooked up from her pillow into her brightly lit room. The glass rain hung from her ceiling and was stirred gently as the wind passed through the open window. Today was the day. And as she dreaded this day, she knew she would have to go. Tears welled in her eyes. She didn't dare let them fall, she needed to wait until...until later.
Sighing, Jordan got out of bed and stretched her arms over her head and yawned. Her feet brushed against the cream rug underneath her feet as she walked to her closet and opened the door to reveal her clothes she was to wear that day. Her black pants hung on the back of the door and her jacket was folded neatly on a shelf along with her lace shirt, pearls, and shoes. She grabbed her clothing and began to change. Her mind, fogged with thoughts.
Jordan sat down at her vanity and looked in the mirror, she touched the pearls that were around her neck with tender love. She missed her Mim so much, so very much. Once again tears appeared in her eyes, and once again she fought them back. Picking up the hairbrush, Jordan pulled it through her long brown hair. When she finished brushing, she pulled half of it up, and then placed it in a barret. The clip sounded in place and she grabbed her mother's perfume with ease, spritzed it on her wrists. The smell reminded her of late nights during breaks from school, when her mom would just hold her and sing to her.
"Jordan? You re-?" Justin stopped from finishing his sentence. He entered her bedroom and looked at his sister. She looked so much like their mother. Her hair, her eyes, her lips, her nose, she even smelled like Carla.
"Yeah, I'm ready." Jordan finished his sentence as she stood up and took one last look in the mirror. She blinked and looked down before leaving her room and walking gracefully down the steps. Murmurs resounded throughout the glass walls of her prison. She attempted a few smiles, and some she did not. Her mood was dropping considerably as the doorbell continued to ring and as more relatives and friends continued to give their condolences. Once more the doorbell rang and Jordan answered it, there on her front step stood her friend from Hogwarts. Jordan's jaw dropped a little before she ushered them inside.

Katie was wake up on morning to the sound of the rain on her window pale. She looked up and stared off into space trying not to cry. It was Jordan mom funeral and Katie was going to support her friend. She got up and walked across her long room to her closet and found a long sleeved blacked shirt, black dressy pants, and black boots. Katie got her clothes out and started to dress slowly. She was listening to the rain on the window imaging Jordan very sad. She wished that it wasn’t raining so it could be a bit happier. She tugged her left boot on and went over to her makeup stand and brushed her hair and put it up in pony with a black rose on the hair piece. Katie than walked down the marble stair case seeing Chris open the front door for her. She grabbed a wrapped gift and left to the car.
After being in the car for a long time she finally arrived at Jordan’s house. Her eyes grew bigger as the car pulled up to a glass house. Katie opened the door before Chris could and walked up the door steps to Jordan’s door. She rang the door bell and she saw Jordan face almost in tears. This almost made Katie cried and she walked in. "I got you something you might like." Katie said giving her a bag filled with goodies and a gold frame so she can put a picture of her mom in it.

Jordan sniffed and hugged Katie around the neck.
"Thanks for coming. One more "I give you my condolences" and I'll burst." Jordan whispered as she withdrew from the hug and placed the bag on a table with other presents. She led Katie into the living room, meshed with relatives. Jordan stood on tip-toe trying to see over the heads to find Chris and Justin, she spotted a boy with brown hair and headed over in the direction of her twin.
"Justin, this is Katie Davenport from school. Katie this is my twin brother Justin." Jordan introduced them and attempted a small smile at her brother, who was coping with this more than she was. Justin smiled at Katie.
"Thanks, for coming. I'm sure it means a lot to Jordan. She doesn't know half these people." Justin said with a small familiar tiwnkle in his eye. It was the same twinkle that Jordan got when she was genuinly happy to see someone. She raised an eyebrow at Justin, but pulled Katie away. They went upstairs and Jordan collapsed on her bed.

Katie followed Jordan in the room where her relatives where. Katie smiled as shed meat Justin. "I have to be here for Jordan she done so much for me and I know how she feels" Katie said before she was dragged away.
Katie than sat down on Jordan bed right beside her. She patted her back and gave her a smile. "Jordan I know today is a sad day and you can cry if you won’t but all I can say is that your mom is always with you no matter what." Katie said in kind words as Jordan laid there.

Jordan looked up at Katie, tears brimming her eyes. She couldn't handle it anymore. She cried into her pillow, the tears flowing like a thousand words that she wish she could scream.
Jordan stood up, threw her pillow against the wall and screamed. She swept her arm over her dresser top and everthing came crashing down onto the cream rug. She screamed again and then fell to the floor, in a small ball. Crying.

Jordan invited him a few days after she told him at Hogesmade. She said he didn't have to go. He had been horified at the question. Well, no not horrified, but he must have looked like it. Jordan kept saying it wasn't goin to be big, and not many people from school were going and he didn't have to. She said that last part a few times. Probably because he didn't say anything, he just kept looking at her. He had only been to one funeral, and that was when his Pops' third wife died. Everyone was sad and they all wore black. It definaly wasn't something he wanted to repate, but it just never came up again.
He had wrote his Pops a few days later, and Pops, being the guy he was insisted he go and sent him a black blazer with the mail. He of course didn't own anything black, or even dark colored besides his school uniform. Payton did a charm on it to clean and press it, there happened to be green stains up one of the legs that needed to be taken care of. That with the black blazer and the nex thting he knew he was knocking on the door, for one of the few times in his life, not really knowing what to say.

Jordan looked up suddenly as someone knocked on the door. She looked out her window and saw Dillion, she smiled lightly and stood up. She grabbed Katie's hand and rushed down stairs. She wanted to reach the door before Justin, or worse Chris. But she was mobbed by relatives. She watched as Justin reached the door.
"Oi!" She yelled over the crowd. Everyone looked at her, but she sighed and slumped onto one of the glass steps as Justin talked with Dill. She put her head in her hands and waited. Justin soon approached with Dill behind him.She looked up, shocked to see Dillion so...so...not Dillion.
"Hey," She said her gaze steady, yet she wanted to have another outburst and ruin everything in sight. She didnt though, she stayed on the steps...not wanting to be here. Not at all....

He conversation seemed forced with Kustin. He was trying not to ramble, and he always rambled. He just wanted to see her, he didn't want to see the rest of these people, they just got int he way. He coudln't be been more relieved when Justin started to lead him over to Jordan, and he called her name louder than he probably should have, but he never was one for being quiet about things.
"Jordan! I know you said I Didn't have to come and I never told you that I was, but I felt bad, and you said that not to many people from school,a nd I dind't want you to be alone. I know what its like and funerals are the pits and I didn't want to come, but I didn't want to not come and them Pops said that I should come and I didn't want to argue and here I am"

Before Katie could get up and comfort Jordan she had already taken her hand and dragged her down stairs.
As they tried to reach the door people cluttered around them and Katie was pushed out of Jordan hands as Jordan tried to reach to the door.
Jordan than gave up and sat on the glass steps. Katie was trying to spot her and noticed her sitting on the steps she walked over towards her and sat down right next to her. Katie put her arm around Jordan trying to comfort her.
As Dillon and Justin came up in front of them Katie tried to give them a smile but it was too hard she was sad for Jordan. She than reached in her pocket and took out an every bots of beans. She than opened the box and headed some to Jordan, Dillon, and Justin so it could lighten up the mood.

Jordan laughed lightly at Dillion's rambling. It was good to hear it. She tilted her head and stood up, her hands shaking slightly. She looked at Justin.
"We'll be in the kitchen." Jordan said, trying to fight back tears. She led her friends into the huge kitchen and sighed.
"I'm glad you came though, Dill. So far only you and Katie have shown up. I don't expect anyone else to. To be honest, I didn't expect you to." Jordan said as she grabbed three glasses from a cupboard. She handed one to Katie and one to Dill and then looked around for punch. Her elbows rested on the counter, her head slumped over and she cried slightly, trying to make it a little unnoticable.

He followed her into the kitchen, his mind still a rush of words he was fighting to keep control of. Now that he wa any good at it, and once they were in the kitchen he started up again.
"Not like I wanted to come, but I couldn't not. I mean, its you and I Can't not be here for you even when I don't want to be. I mean...yeah, you."
He sighed slightly and took a sip of the drink Jordan had gotten him, then looking down at her as she seemed to be so upset. He never was very good at the emotional girl thing. The number of sisters and he should be, but he wasn't, so all he did was reach out, and give her shoulder a quick pat before pulling his hand back, and looking from it to her and then back to it.

Katie took the glass of drink she didn’t have her mom’s funeral yet it was going to be on Christmas Eve when she mom was born.
"Of course I came Jordan you are like the sister I never had." Katie said smiling at Jordan. She was holding back strong tears in her eyes. She felt as if Jordan and she were sisters.
She than took a sip of her sip of her drink and set it down at the table. She than looked at Dillion for some back up.

When she realized she was crying, she pulled a whole 180. Wiping her tears she took a dishrag and started to wipe at nothing on the marble countertops. She then threw it into the sink and turned to Dill and Katie. She smiled at Katie.
"A sister eh? I like it." Jordan said simply with a nod. It was silent for a moment until Jordan couldn't bear it anymore.
"Do you wanna get out of here. I can't...It's getting stuffy isn't it?" She asked as she slipped her jecket on that she placed on the nearest chair. She lifted her hair out of the collar and stuck her hands in her pockets.

"Yes! Stuffy, yes, and broing. Would much rather be outside, much better outhere. So dull and sad in here. Not fun. Need to get out before we go crazy. Risk of going crazy. Big Risk"
Since he was already wearing his own jacket, he grabbed her arm and started draggin her towards the nearest dor nor compleatly sure where it would bring them.

"Uh! Dill! That door leads to the-" The door flung open and she sighed, "Pool house." She finished. She laughed and pulled his arm to the opposite end of the kitchen. She grabbed Katie's arm on the way out and they ended up walking along the streets.
"Darn! I forgot my chocolates..." Jordan sighed, as she had a sudden craving for chocolate.
"Oh well..." She sighed again.

Katie than again was being pulled but luckily she saw the chocolates and snatched them before Jordan pulled her away.
"I got them right here and I got tons of other candies in my pockets. Your making my sweet tooth grow Jordan." Katie said handing Jordan the chocolates.
She than reached her pocket and got out some muggle candy. She had some twizlers and was enjoying the sweet cherry taste.

Jordan laughed and took the chocolate from katie.
"In the words of Vanessa... you're simply darling!" Jordan said mocking Vanessa Link, slightly. She gasped and looked at Katie.
"Im sorry. I couldn't contain myself." Jordan added quickly, hoping she didn't offend Katie. She knew Katie and Vanessa were friends, somehow. Music probably.
"Have you met her yet Dill? Fifth year, in our house. Vanessa, plays piano." Jordan turned to Dillion and popped some chocolate in her mouth, feeling slightly better. Only slightly though.

Katie smiled at Jordan remember what Vanessa told her about her. She was trouble but so was Katie and that seemed a perfect match. Katie also thought Vanessa and her were some what alike. They both shared their liking for music.
As Jordan told her sorry about the Candy Katie nodded her head.
"Its okay I love being a sweet tooth the wonders it has" Katie said smiling a prankster kind of smile.
She than looked at Dillion she heard so much about him from Jordan.
"Hello Dillion as you can tell I am Katie Davenport" Katie said stopping a smiling at him.

"Venessa? Not sure, hear the name, sure I heard the name, but then I neve rknow, I hear all sorts of names, neve rknow who they are. But then I don't know lots of people, well, I know them, but I don't really know them. Don't know people unless they want a prank done, then they know who to come to. Katie? Huh? Oh yes! Katie could feel her brain go slower and slower as Dillion talked so long. She started to get a head ache but then came back to herself.
"Don’t forget Serious and James they too were pranksters!" Katie said once again smiling.
"My partner and I decided to start a prank at flying lesson we are going to Jinx all the brooms so when people try to get a full grip on them their little hands would stick to their broom." Katie said smiling slyly.
