Mary slowly climbed out of bed, reluctantly pushing her silk green sheets. It was August; her parents should not be allowed to force her to get up like this. It was cruel, verging on child abuse. Just because their friends the Blackfire’s and their son were coming. ‘You need to make the right friend Mary Claire Evans!’ her mother told her about 60 times that summer. ‘What would people think if you are seen with mudbloods and blood traitors? They would think the Evans’ have lost it; that’s what they would think. Your family worked very hard to get us where we are, you will not spoil it for us; do you understand?’ Well, if she was going to be up she was at least going to be comfortable she thought. Despite her mothers insistence that she dress up she decided on a forest green bikini with a pair of blue jeans that fit her like they were maid for her, which they were. As well she put on her favourite pair of boots, they were dark green to match her bathing suit with five-inch stiletto heels and a slightly pointed toe. She crossed her room, looking around at all of her things until her eyes wistfully rested on her mahogany four-poster bed. She then walked down the vast halls of ‘Evans Manor’ chitchatting with the portraits of her ancestors and ignoring the glares of those who know that she should not be wearing that with company coming over.
She had just made it to the dinning room when she was summoned by a house elf to great the guests in the entrance hall. She was so upset that not only was she awake but she couldn’t even eat, that she nearly kicked the elf. She stormed down the halls until she had only one turn to go. She then slowed her pace, and put a smile on her face. She walked over to her parents and saw the Blackfires. She extended her hand to be shaken, “Hello. It’s very nice to meet you. I’m sorry that I’m not properly dressed only I was expecting to go swimming before your arrival. Say Pyro, care to join me for a swim?”<br>

*Pyro leaned against the wall. A slight distance away from his parents. He absently fliped a random coin in the air and watched it twirl. than caught it and tossed it again. He raised his head slightly and looked at her as she spoke to him.*
"Yea. A swim sounds good."
*he pushed off from the wall his black cloaked swishing around him..He leaned down and picked up a bag sitting at his feet. He walked over to her..his boots clicking loudly on the floor*
"Lead the way" *He said with a grin*

‘Make the right friends indeed’ Mary thought as she watched the boy flipping a coin while leaning against the wall. ‘I know his blood is pure but what is with that attitude. I show my contempt by wearing a bathing suite; he shows utter disrespect. Well that means today won’t be a total lose after all then, at least I’m not with some annoying prick who worships the ground his parents walk on and looks down on me for not doing the same.’ Mary thought with a classic Slytherin smirk.
“Did you bring a bathing suite?” Mary asked as she led him down a long dark hallway filled with portraits of her ancestors and lit only by torches. “If not I’m sure we can find one somewhere” she continued while scowling at the pictures who were staring at them with outright interest.
Finally they reached the end of the hall and emerged through a large wooden door into a large garden. She then led him down a winding path of stepping-stones through patch after patch of beautiful exotic flowers. When they reached the center of the garden they found a small body of water. It was obvious by the walls when you were inside that it was a man made swimming pool; but from the outside it could easily be mistaken for large pond with water trickling down the side of a bunch of rocks in the corner forming a water fountain.
She stepped into a large bunch of flowers and emerged with a bag. She opened it and brought out two large fluffy towels. She tossed him the emerald green one and spread out the midnight blue on for herself. She then took a book and a beach umbrella out of the bag as well and set it up so that she could relax after her swim. She then sat down on a chair and took off her boots and jeans then jumped into the pool. Moments later a house elf appeared with a jug of pumpkin juice and two cups. “Mind handing me a glass of juice?” she asked Pyro as sweetly as she could.
“So what’s your story?” Mary then turned to him and asked rather bluntly. She was tired of pleasantries; she had been forced to exchange them with her parents and their friends all summer. Now that she was with someone her own age she felt she deserved a break from all the plastic smiles and small talk.

*Pyro followed her clicking the heel of his boots against the floor as he walked...He carried the small bag over his shoulder. He nodded*
"Yea. I got one."
*He followed her out into the pool..He caught the towel that was thrown to him and he laid it out on the ground...He threw her a slight glare as the houself walked up and she asked him to get her a glass..he paused for a moment but than steped up the the houself and grabed one of the glasses and the pitcher and poured some juice into the glass. He put the pitcher back with a bit of force and watched as the elf stumbled to keep hold of the tray..*
"here"
*he said handing her the glass...He paused for a second and thought about her question...than shruged...opening the bag he started to search through it*
"My story? Its not much. My parents say I need more friends outside of hogwarts. All my friends live quite a ways away, and I only see them at hogwarts, so I dont have much to do during the summer..Except terrorize muggles." *He said with a grin* "Now where is that.....?"
*His shoulder and head disapeared into the bag..He sank in to his waist in the small bag, clearly, the bag could hold more than it looked. His muffled voice could be heard within the bag*
"Ah Ha!! Found it!"
*He pulled himself out of the bag, holding some swimming trunks, he moved behind a bush..and started changing*
"Now my parents dont really care if I terrorized the muggles or not, but well. The ministry insist on treating them fairly, So my parents have forced me to stop."
*he steped out from behind the bush wearing his swimming trunks..He placed his clothes into the bag and set it on the ground next to the towel.*
