Nasser was in the middle of helping a fellow student with Muggle Studies. Being a muggle-born himself he found it easy to assist the student with the chapter he was trying to study, and Nasser laughed secretly to himself at some of the things pure-blooded wizards thought about Muggles. Nasser was just telling him about means of transportation in the Muggle world when Seamus Finnigan came running into the room and told everybody to go the Great Hall.
Wondering to himself what could possibly be going on Nasser walked to the Hall with the other Gryffindors. He spotted Perseus and Jaquin chatting together, and smiled at them and then sat down at the Gryffindor table. A lot of the professors were present, and from their grim expressions Nasser could tell they were going to give them some bad news.
Dumbledore then looked grimly at all the students, and then told them what had happened. Astounded by the news, Nasser leaned back into the chair, thinking about all those dead students.. some of which he had just had classes with that morning. Almost 20 students had been killed. It was almost like a very bad dream. Nasser closed his eyes for a minute, thinking about why the Death Eaters should commit acts of such cruelty. Was there no mercy in there hearts at all? They had even killed pure-bloods! How could a wizard or a witch act so cruelly? Once again, this proved the power of Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters. The war had already begun, and already many innocent students had been killed by his hand. Nasser put his head in his hands, and tried not to think of the parents of those poor students.

Julie Rosewood was in the common room, sitting slose to the fire-place. Her Charms extbook lay open beside her; she had been reading about what they had covered in their last class. Her eyes were half-closed and she was feeling very drowsy and at peace with the world. Savannah was in one corner of the room on her own, and Catalina was reading a book about Quidditch, and Julie could feel the prescence of the other Ravenclaws around her but she was feeling so sleepy she did not try to join in any kind of activity.
Just as she convincing herself to get up and go to sleep, Catalina made everyone get up and move to the Great Hall. Apparently shed had just received some news that there was an emergency. Julie followed Catalina with her fellow Ravenclaws, trying to rub the sleep out of her eyes. Savannah was trying to find out what the problem was but Catalina did not know so she couldn't tell her. Julie sat down at the Ravenclaw table, still not completely awake.
Dumbledore stood up and looked at all the students sitting before him. Julie did not like the grim look in his blue eyes, and began to feel rather worried. The news he had to tell them waws terrible. Students from all years and houses had been killed by Death Eaters. Julie listened as Dumbledore said one name after the other, and the horrified girl could believe they had killed so many students. All those students just beginning their lives... killed mercilessly by Death Eaters. There was no other explanation, only they could take away the lives of the innocent without remorse. Julie wiped her eyes with her hands; she had not realized she had been crying. Dumbledore was still talking but she could only hear him vaguely as she wiped her tears, trying to absorb the shocking news he had just given them.

When everyone had started to enter the great hall Drusilia had put her wand away and took a book and her glasses out of her bag and began to read only glancing up every now and then. She heared Raidon sit down behind her and start to talk to some people. When he made his comment about what was going on from his point of view she shook her head, "same old Raidon..." and went back to her reading.
Drusilia looked up when she heared someone say something about Dumbledore. Drusilia fallowed Dumbledore with her eyes when he entered the hall and noted the sadness that seemed to fallow him. Turning she continued to watch him as he started to talk. An unreal feeling of shock settled over her when he started to list off all the students that were killed.
Drusilia looked down and noted the water drops on the cover of her book as watched as more fell. Setting her book down she took over her glasses and rubbed her arm across her eyes. Grabbing a napkin she wiped her face and rubbed at her eyes looking much like a wimpering little child with her fists balled up. Turning around she tried to see how Raidon and Kimi were taking it. She wondered how Kimi was going to take it espcially since she thought one of the girls that died from slytherin was a friend of hers.

Kimi looked up with a bored expression on her face when Dumbledore started to speek. An expression of surprise crossed her face when he started to list of kids that had died.
Kimi became even more surprised when he said that the Slytherin common room was the attackers main target but that didn't prepare her for the shock that came at the list of all the slytherins that were killed. "Pansy?" Kimi whispered in shock not even hearing the rest of Dumbleodore's anouncement about the Slytherins sleeping in the great hall.
Looking up Kimi looked to Dawn, "Dawn? I can't believe it." Kimi said plainly she could understand a lot of mudbloods and halfbreeds and what not from other houses getting killed but why a bunch of Slytherins?

Harry walked back to his seat as Professor Sprout answered his question. Harry was afraid about what happened. "Where is Dumbledore." he mumbled under his breath to himself as he sat at the Gryffindor table amongst stories being told. Snape stormed out of the Great Hall as he has some type of concerned look about him. On his time of arrival he brought back Dawn McGrogan. A sixth year prefect. "Why wasnt she in here before?" he wondered as he watched her limp body fall into her seat.
Dumbledore soon walked in ans addressed the school about what happened. Harry watched Dumbledore untill he was finished talking. Hearing little whimpering and talking Harry turned his head as he skimmed the room and for the first time noticed all they people were gone. Harry looked over to the Slytherin table. Dawn was still slumped over in her seat. "She saw something." he thought as he skimmed the dark table. Harry looked back to the Professors and Dumbledore said Slytherin's will spend the night in the Great hall and directed everyone else to go to there Common Rooms. Harry watched all the other house tables as he heard crying. Harry knew it had to be stopped. Him, Ron, and Hermione, had to 'some how' get what they needed to be done.

Dawn layed slumped in her seat as she heard Kimi say something to her. "Urh?" she said in her slurred voice. Dawn reconized her voice, not what she said. Soon Dumbledore was heard echoing through the Great Hall. Forcing her right arm to push off the table Dawn sat up. Straining her ears she listened to what he said.
When he was finished saying the names of everyone who died she shook her head. Dawn wouldn't tell them who it was, she couldnt. Her life would be in danger if she spoke of what she saw. Her and Charna were the only ones who knew. And Dawn knew all to well Charna wouldnt speak of it a'tall. This was the first time Dawn ever experienced something like this and she hoped it would be the last.
Running her hands through her hair she turned to Kimi as she spoke again. Dawn's words still slurred she said in reply to her, " Elive it." she said monotone like. Pushing herself off the table she stood up as he left arm hung at her side. Sitting on the table top of the table she looked at the other three tables behind her. Quickly glacing at the Gryffindor table, Harry Potter was looking at her. Dawn was a bit confused as she turned her head and looked at the Professor's table.

Post by Professor Pomona Sprout on Jun 2, 2004 1:19:39 GMT
Pomona listened to Dumbledore as he listed all the ones that were dead. "Dear Merlin!" she whispered as the list went on and on. Shaking her head she turned to the students who seemed to be for the most part, speachless. When Dumbledore said that if anyone knew anything about the attacks please come forward. Pomona turned to the tables and nodded in a sad manor.
When the Headmaster said for all the students to return back to there common rooms, Sprout Nodded at an instruction he gave. Nodding she walked off to the Hufflepuff table. "Up up Everyone." Taking a deep breath she wasnt forceing anyone to do everyone in a second. She was just as much struck as everyone. When All of the Hufflepuff house stood Pomona lead then toward the thrid floor. Walking out into the Main Hallway Pomona fell silent as Dumbledore said some were killed in that very hallway. Leading up a few flights if stairs they reached The Hufflepuff Common Room.
After voicing the password Pomona walked into the large room. Waiting till everyone filtered in and the porthole closed she spoke. "Everyone listen up." she got everyones attention in a calming voice. "Everyone in this room knew someone who was taken under this unfortunate attack. Please bare with everyone for the remander of the year. I expect most people feel quite taken away. Please Stay here and do not leave this Common Room. If anyone of this house is seen outside of these walls, you will be personally disiplined by me." She looked at everyone as she spoke in a calming yet stern tone. " 'Night all. If anyone needs me at all. Owl me." Pomona bowed her head as she walked through the group of students to the porthole. Walking into the hallway she stood in the hallway planning to keep watch for a few hours till further notice.

Post by Professor Minerva McGonagall on Jun 2, 2004 1:39:05 GMT
Minerva stood stone cold as Dumbledore spoke and read off a list of deceased students that was entirely too long. Once finished he asked for any who had information to come forward. When his speech was concluded Minerva moved over to the Gryffindor table. "Alright, everyone up we're returning to the common room. Prefects to the rear, make sure everyone keeps up." Minerva then lead her house out of the Great hall, up several flights of stairs and down the hallway until they reached the Gryffindor common room. Announced the password to the Fat Lady, she escorted all the Gryffindors into the common room.
Once all were inside she addressed the group. "I must press you all to remain inside the castle. There is no need for any rash action, the Ministry has aurors here now it would be foolish for any student to try and venture onto the castle grounds, no matter what their intentions are." Minerva gave Harry, Ron and Hermione and stern look before she continued. "The Slytherins suffered more than anyone else tonight, this would be a good time to mend any hurt relationships." Minerva then turned and exited the common room.

Post by Professor Filius Flitwick on Jun 2, 2004 1:42:23 GMT
Filius watched from the entrance of the Great hall as Headmaster Dumbledore spoke about all of the deaths. "Tragic, throughtly Deadful." he mumbled to himself as he counted the deaths. When The Headmaster gave the mark that all houses should go to there Common Room Filius went right on it.
"Ravenclaws!" He sounded. "Follow Me please, and If you may Stay close dont stray!" he said as he flicked his wand and a small star appeared above Flitwick's small body. "Catalina, Please be the last one of your house to leave. Make sure everyone Follows." he smiled as he motioned for everyone to follow him.
Walking toward the right Prof. Flitwick lead all the Ravenclaws up the first four flights of stairs, same way as Gryffindor. Filius felt dreadful that the attacks have happened but he decided to put on a happy face to cheer all the glum ones up. Reaching the fourth floor Filius lead everyone down the long first hallway. "Everyone I want you all to stay in the Common Room. No sneeking around!" he warned. At the end of the hallway he ventured up a flight of stairs. Reaching the top a few more stepps and they were in the South Tower. Saying the password Filius stood at the porthole as everyone walked inside of here Common Room. When Fliwick met Cat, he walked in. "Attention!" He sounded. "Go to your dormatories and get rested. To many things happened today and everyone needs a good rest. If you need me I will be down here or in my office. Do Not Leave the Common Room. If you absolutly need me Owl me. " he paused skimming everyone making a quick head count. "good" He smiled as he made a movement of 'brushing' everyone away. Walking over to an empty chair. He sat at the fire as he thought about the days activities.

Raidon sat with a started expression on his face as Dumbledore listed off all the students that were killed. Letting out a sigh he looked down and shook his head, "what a horrable year this has been, so many kids have died through out it."
Raidon looked around the hall before standing up as directed. Before the started walking he moved the few feet over to the Ravenclaw table and gave Drusilia a small hug having spotted her crying, "It'll be alright Dru..." Raidon sighed then moved to fallow the rest of the Hufflepuffs.

Post by Professor Severus Snape on Jun 2, 2004 3:24:38 GMT
Severus Snape listened to Dumbledore list off all the casualties and shook his head. Snape looked up and scanned the Slytherin table to see how they were taking it and saw many shocked and indifferent faces. Sighing Snape knew this was probably going to be a very long night.
Sighing as the other professors started to lead the other houses out of the great hall that is besides for Slytherin of course. Snape walked over and sat down at the head table and waited for the other houses to leave then announced, "Everyone find a place to sleep and settle down! I have no doubt that some of you are shocked and confused still so everyone be understanding to your fellow house mates feelings. Even if in your opinion they are overreacting."

Catalina got up feeling quite numb after Dumbledore's speech. With a slight nod she stayed at the table until the last Ravenclaw had passed and she took up the rear. Her mind kept drifting away to thoughts of her friends who'd she never see again. Pansy, Emily, Madeline, Bianca. Such were her thoughts that Catalina kept running into the little 1st years in front of her as they climbed the steps to their common room.
Upon entering the common room, Catalina simply sunk into the first chair she found and listened as Professor Flitwick told them all to go to bed. Reluctantly she got up and trudged up the steps to her dorm room, not that she felt like sleeping at all. As she flopped down face first onto her bed, her thoughts ran over what she had just heard over and over until she finally fell into a restless slumber.

Nasser removed his face from his hands and convinced himself to get to his feet. Hermione was waiting for all the students to get up so she could lead them to the common room. Professor McGonagall was already making her way to the door of the Great Hall. Sighing heavily Nasser stood up and finally began to look at everyone else. He noticed two first years, a boy and a girl, the girl sobbing. The boy had a shocked expression on his face; it seemed he could not do the same and let out his feelings. Nasser put one hand gently on each of their shoulders and said quietly, "Come on you two. The news has been too much for all of us." Nasser was not sure whether they heard him, but the crying girl held his hand firmly and got up, and then the boy followed suit. He still looked stunned, but at least he was now walking. Nasser could not imagine how he would have felt if such disastrous events had taken place in his first year.
Soon they were in the common room, and Nasser sat down with the two and then Professor McGonagall told them to stay in the castle and keep out of trouble. The first year girl in particular clung to Nasser and would not let go, but Nasser didn't mind. In a way, she was supporting him as much as he was supporting her. He looked at the place where Emily Greenlawn used to like sitting in the common room. He remembered when she had been Quidditch Captain and had worked the team like no other Captain. Gryffindor had never played better than the time Emily had been training them. He tried to stop thinking about her, but then his thoughts drifted to the other Gryffindors who had been murdered, and the hours they had all spent in the common room, doing their homework, playing games and celebrating their victories.

Julie stood up and tried to regain her composure. Dumbledore wanted them all to go back to their common rooms. Her Head of House, Professor Flitwick, lead the way to the common room, and Julie followed him, not looking or talking to anyone. She felt very much in need of comfort and security and she tried to keep as close as possible to the other Ravenclaws and the Professor. Catalina was behind everyone to make sure they all left the Great Hall.
As soon as they reached the common room Professor Flitwick told them to go to their dormitories and try and get some sleep. She went upstairs with the other Ravenclaw girls, not talking to anyone. She did not bother to change her robes, but threw herself into her bunk, deep in thought. After a few minutes she got up and changed then got back into bed and closed her eyes, but she did not fall asleep for a long time.
