Savannah entered the quiet library and crept through the mass of tables with students busy studying and reading. Savannah was not like most students in that she couldn't study in the library, the silence drove her quite mad and she often would end up staring out the windows or watching other students go about their business. What did intrigue Savannah about the library was however, the fact that she could disappear in there for hours at a time which was at times more valuable than a vault full of galleons. There was once a time when Savannah quite the popular target, she was right up there there with Neville Longbottom and the muggle borns who were ruthlessly targeted by Slytherins. Savannah took it in good spirits her first year as she was informed that it was sort of the "welcome to Hogwarts" type of thing. As she stepped off the train to start her 2nd year she was ready for it to be over. Yet it didn't stop which was unfortunate for those who would pick on her the first few days. Savannah's fiery temper boiled over many times during that first week which produced her with the reputation as one not to be bothered with. Now 4 years later the fierce temper inside Savannah lays silent but is always there, ready to explode if properly pushed. Her cruel outbursts have alienated her from all but a few close friends who have managed to see past her dark exterior and have gotten to know the real Savannah.
With all these thoughts weighing heavily in her mind, Savannah walked to the back of the library and found her place. It was dark, and generally smelled foul as no one ever went back there and the books on the shelves hadn't been touched in at least a decade. It was for this very reason that Savannah loved it so, she was where she belonged with the other forgotten things. As she sat down at the table she pulled out her parchments and quill. The dim light coming in from the dirty window provided her with enough light to write. Hours upon hours she'd spend in this little corner writing stories, songs, and poems. All of which she'd only share with those closest to her. Minutes passes, perhaps hours even, yet to Savannah it made no difference as she wrote and wrote. Often she'd write undisturbed for hours, only to be alerted to the time when the rest of the library began to grow dark as Madam Pince extinguished the candles one by one. Today however, Savannah was brought out of her writing phase as someone approached her little corner.

At nood, Dawn sat at an empty table in the Library. With two piles of books stacked in front og her, she had her noise stuck in one on her lap. She was scribbiling down an essay she had yo write as she sighed angeryly. She cursed lightly under her breath as she erased a sentance she wrote down. With her hand on her head she moved her eyes from her paper to the vast room. Scanning the room she saw a fre Grffies laughing at there own table and also a Raven deep in thought as she read a novel.
Dawn stood up from her seat as she streched her back. She leveled her reading glasses as she muttered to herself, "I need to walk around." She pushed her seat backward as she walked over toward the History section of the library and walked around the perimeter of the room.
As she walked, she lightly ran her fingers ont he bindings of the dusty books, when she saw a Hufflepuff girl huddled in a corner. Dawn looked at her as she remembered her name. *Savannah.* The girls name ran throught her mind. She walked slowly toward the girl as she stopped not to far away from her, but still far enough so she wouldnt notice. Savannah, In Dawn's eyes, looked deep in thought. Scribbiling down things on a peice of paper as she muttered to herself. She intrigued Dawn to wanting to know what she was writing. Dawn was quite bored and decided as she was neer aquanted with Savannah, they were in need of a conversation. Dawn leaned up against a side of a bookshelf three feet away from her. In the shaddow of the tall self Dawn said, "Savannah..." Trying to get her attention. She walked a few stepps toward her as she asked, "Seems like your quite busy. What are you doing?"

"Savannah" A far off distance voice echoed in her head. Shaking her head she put it out of her mind and tried to regain her train of thought for her writing. "Savannah" Once more the voice rang out this time far more closer to her than the previous one. Lifting her head from her papers her eyes came alive as she recognize a shape in front of her. Someone was standing there and Savannah had no idea for how long they'd been there. As her eyes focused in on the person's feet which were right in front of her a shot of fear exploded through her body in a flash.
Acting on sheer instincts, Savannah's legs shot up, prepared to explode herself up off the chair and to her feet. Her arms flung outward which sent her papers flying in all directions while her delicate fingers wrapped around her wand which soon she had a solid grip on. While this was happening her eyes shot up to the person's face, a girl, a girl she'd seen in class but never spoke it. In a milisecond her eyes darted from the girl's face to her chest where she saw the green serpent, then back again to her face. A Slytherin!? For Savannah this was an unwelcome person, she'd never gotten along with any Slytherin, they were always up to something, always poking fun at her. With her teeth gritted she glared at the girl "What do you want?" she asked as she grasped her wand tighter, prepared for anything.

Dawn saw the astonishment Savannah had when Dawn said something to her. Dawn, a bit confused, she started "What do I want? A conversation if that isnt much to ask from you." she said a bit stubbornly. She crossed her arms and she looked at Savannah. She noticed her hand was on her wand. Dawn a bit bewildered said, "No need for petty violence Savannah. Im not going to duel you in the library for Merlin sake! If I wanted to duel you I would've already had my wand in hand and you would be on the floor." Dawn finished by putting her hand in her cloak pocket and pulling out her wand to show. She slipped it back in and shook her head.
Dawn wasn't all sure why everyone didnt like talking to this girl. *She seems a bit to herself.* She thought in her head. *Maybe an attitude and on guard but nothing wrong.* She said as she figured all the rumors were wrong, that she heard about Savannah.
Dawn looked at Savannah and started up again. "Well as I was wondering before. I saw you scribbiling on that peice of paper." Dawn motioned toward the paper Savannah threw on the floor. She bent down and picked of the papers that fell. She handed them to Savannah and said, "What were you doing? Writing, Drawing...?" she asked not expecting an answer. Dawn knew if she was in Savannah's spot she wouldnt tell Dawn what she was doing, but Dawn wasnt going to do anything. It was a conversation for Merlin sakes.

Savannahh's eyes remained focused on the girl as she explained her reasons for being there. Showing her wand then putting it back in her pocket Savannah eased her hand on her own wand, though her fingers did remain near them, just in case. As the girl handed back her papers, Savannah quickly snatched then from her and stuffed them into her bag, then returned her gaze to the girl. "story" she said flatly, she didn't particulary care to carry on a conversation with someone who might at any moment decide to hex her.
"I was writing" Savannah said as she fumbled on her table for her ink cap and bottle, never leaving her eyes from the girl. Finally finding them she screwed her ink bottle back and tossed it into her bag she also grabbed her quills and set them on the table. "So, do you need something?" Savannah asked as cordial as she could.

Dawn stood up as Savannah snatched the papers out of her hands. "Well well, Im not going to bite now!" Dawn said a bit confused of why she was so uncomfortable with her there. Dawn crossed her arms as she looked at Savannah as she replyed to Dawn's question. "Writing, I see..." Dawn yawned as she thought she was drawing. She herself likes to draw and thought she found someone else who did, but she thought wrong. Dawn watched the girl as she fumbled with her ink bottle and quills. "Why are you leaving so quickly?" she paused and purposly took of offencivly that she was getting ready to run off as soon as Dawn got there. Savannah spoke in a wondering tone to her. " Do I need something?.. ah no. I was quite bored." Dawn turned and motioned to her table she sat at not to ealier. "I was doing an essay and decided I was fet up with it. So I went wondering and found you." Dawn turned and glared at Savannah. "I gotta question for you Johnstone. Why are you so jumpy as im here?" she paused. "As far as I know, I hever talked to you and never did anything to you to make you afraid of me." she added sternly. (( So Sorry I didnt post back quicker. I actually forgot about the post. So Sorry Savannah.))

Savannah quickly had almost all her items ready to go but the girl wasn't taking the hint and instead remained in front of her, blocking her only means of escape. She began talking to her more and more asking questions, probably to set up her friends for an ambush. Devilish Slytherins, they'd go so far as to corner her in the library then hex her. Savannah wouldn't go down that easy though, if they pulled an Ambush, she'd go down fighting. "I'm not up and leaving, I'm late.. I've got class soon" Savannah said as she looked over to the wall where hung a large clock that read 2:18. 'Stupid Savannah' she thought to herself, no class starts at 2:18.
"Ah.. so you are bored" Savannah said as she bit her lower lip and tried to figure out how she'd get out of this mess. "Right, so why did you pick me, I'm sure your Slytherin buddies are just all over this place." Savannah slowly moved her hand back to her pocket where rested her wand. Nervously she looked at the aisle of books on either side of her, trying to peer through the gaps in books to see any signs of any other Slytherins moving on in for an attack.
When Dawn asked her the final question Savannah sat and looked at her in stunned silence. "Why do you think I'm jumpy huh?" She asked as she looked up at the girl. "Almost everyone makes fun of me, most are Slytherins. You are a Slytherin, why should I think you are any different?" Tightening her grip on her wand Savannah eyed this girl with contempt. "Well if you are looking for an easy victim, you've got the wrong person, do your best if you want, just get it over with already, I've got things to do today."

Dawn gave Savannah a menacing look as she made a statment about Slytherin's. "Oh.. I see." Dawn got agitated. She narrowed her eyes as she looked Savannah up and down. "The Slytherin house has many different kinds of people inside, just like any other house. Slytherin's just are honest people and say what they think when they think it. The people that gave you a hard time must have disliked something about you." she paused and glared at her. "But I was just starting a simple conversation." she emphaised simple as she gave her an attitude.
Dawn looked behind her as she remembered Savannah said she had a class. She looked back at the girl with a glare and moved to the side. "Go right ahead my dear... Scurry off to you class. Dont wanna get a simple detention eh?" Dawn tapped her arm as she waited for Savannah to walk by her. Dawn was in an already aggrivated mood, and Savannah just wated to top it off. Dawn narrowed her eyes as she walked one step toward her and said, " Raven's dont judge a book by there covers. Trust me I know." a thought in the back of her mind rang as she remembered the Sorting hat almost landed her in that Ikle House. Dawn started back up. " Be glad your a Pureblood though. If you werent you would be gone by now! But its not like you are any better than them!"
Dawn looked at her as she walked backward. Savannah wasnt worth her breath. She thought wrong when she started a conversation with her. Dawn put her hand in her cloak pocket as she turned around and held her wand. She noticed that Savannah was already on guard when Dawn walked closer to her. On her way back to her table she shook her head. Dawn kicked out her seat as she sat down glaring at Savannah in the corner. Dawn glared at her as she whispered, "You bring the Purebloods a bad name you witch. Waist of my time and waist of my breath. Ikle Mudblood." Dawn exhaled as she turned away from Savannah and went back to her essay.

Savannah watched the girl disappear back to wherever it was that she came from. The short conversation replaying itself in her mind as she packed away the last of her things. Stupid Slytherins always thought they were the best of everyone. Stuffing her wand back into her pocket she stood up and flung her bag over her shoulder. This conversation was not over.
Stalking after the girl, Savannah stopped at the end of the aisle and eyed her. There were so many things this girl had gotten wrong about her, and she had to get them squared away. As she watched the girl sit and start to work on something, most likely a list of people she was to hex, Savannah glared at her. Walking over to the girl, Savannah spotted Madam Pince watching her every move. This wouldn't be the time for anything rash, Madam Pince was not one you wanted to get in trouble around.
As she walked up to the girl's table, Savannah flung her bag down onto the table and rested both hands on the table as she stood nearly on top of the girl. "I'm not a pureblood" she said in a low whisper, "so if you got something you need to say, go ahead and say it already. I've got things to do today." She then glanced at the girl's essay for a brief moment. "It also appears that you've done all your work wrong" Savannah said as she hoped that would provoke the girl into spilling whatever was on her mind.

Dawn flipped her paper to the side and started to jot down spells for her essay. Out of the corner of her eye she saw the stalky long dark haired girl walk her way. *This girl just doesn’t understand does she.* Dawn thought to herself as she lifted her head and saw Savannah stand next to her. Dawn glared at her as she tapped her quill waiting for the girl to make a comment. *Not like it matters.* Dawn thought just before Savannah spoke out. "Not a pureblood, eh?" Dawn glared at her. She thought in her head. *Why in the world would I start a conversation with someone lower than my standards!* Dawn was mad at herself. She had no clue who from the Slytherin house could have seen her with this.. Filth. Dawn became angry that she didnt spot it out before that this girl was a Half blood.
Dawn glared at Savannah standing over her shoulder and said just above a whisper, "I was giving you a chance to leave when I walked away. Dont you understand." she paused and glanced at Madam Pince. She was looking at the girls waiting for someone to make a wrong move. Dawn started back up again in a soft whisper. "Mudblood, go scurry of to your class. Or cry in a corner somewhere. I dont need you as company . If you are anything to me, you are sorry means of a witch." Dawn looked Savannah up and down as she exhaled as shook her head. "Your a wreched girl. Now I understand thoses rumors my house was saying last night." she paused as she waited for a reacton from her. "I wanted to prove them wrong. But now I agree with them." she knew something was going to get to her as she waited her to break. Just like Madam Pince, Dawn didnt take her eyes off of Savannah.

Savannah stood looking at Dawn, waiting, just waiting for her response. Worthless girl, mudblood, and wreched girl were just some of the comments she gave out. Nothing knew to Savannah, she'd heard it all before, perhaps worse. This was of course what Savannah enjoyed, aggitating others. "Aww come on!" She said with a grin on her face "That's so mean! Don't say such things!"
Savannah then kicked out the chair next to her and sat down as she clasped her hands together and set them upon the table looking at the girl with her smirk still on her face. "So my friend" Savannah said as she placed her empahsis on the friend part. "What are you working on here?" She then reached over to her bag and removed her ink bottle, quill and a piece of parchment and prepared to begin to write. This was perhaps the only real means of entertainment Savannah could ever think of. Bothering other people while placing herself in line to be insulted at every opportunity. This was also one of the many reasons why she had very few friends, those who did become her friend had to see past her exterior and get to know the real Savannah. However as she grew older and older it became harder and harder for others to find that real Savannah.

Dawn heard the sarcasium in Savannah's voice when she replied to the comments Dawn made. She rolled her eyes as she listened to Savannah go on. Dawn didnt care about saying anything more to that girl. She was not worth her time, and she was a major waist of her breath.
Dawn shook her head as she turned back to her parchement and read over what she wrote. She noticed Savannah, she sat down next to her. Savannah acting odd, as she asked what Dawn was working on. Dawn looked at Savannah quite taken by what she did. "Wow." Dawn flatly repied. "Im doing work. Shouldn't you be running off to class, girl? You said you were going to be late. Or are you actually going to skip!" she added sarcasticly. Dawn shook her head as she didnt understand why She didnt retaliate with anger. Dawn looked at her with a quizzital look. "I see what you are doing." she said flatly. "If you choose, you can do my work for me." Dawn laughed. "Your not going to bother me if you want to look over my shoulder and read." Dawn smiled. Her voice was full of sarcasium, and she thought it was quite funny that she was holding a conversation with Savannah still.

Savannah paid no attention to the fact that Dawn's speech was dripping with sarcasm. Savannah herself was no stranger to that and in fact it was quite the common way for her to speak to others. "Oh please" she began as she dipped her quill into her ink bottle. "What, are you going to tell on me if I don't go to Divination? I'm so sick of hearing about how Harry is going to die tomorrow and then he never does. She is such a fraud." Savannah then looked at her empty parchment with a rather bland expression upon her face. She really had nothing to do and in fact wanted to finish working on her story, but not now, not with this girl here.
As Dawn offered her work to Savannah she smiled. "Sure Dawn, I'd so love to do your work for you. What are you writing your essay on? The reasons why you shouldn't hex yourself? Perhaps the reason why goblins smell so badly? Give it here" she said as she held out her hand to take Dawn's essay. "I'll gladly finish it for you, and I'm sure the professor will be so thrilled that they'll give you 50 points for it." Savannah's speech was so thick in sarcasm that it even amazed herself as to the amount she had used, she sat in her chair with her hand out, waiting for Dawn's reply.

Dawn sat tapping her quill as she listened to Savannah go on, with just as much sarcasm as her. Dawn shook her head as she smiled. *This is fun.* she thought. "Well Divination is an outrageous class. I skip that class, its useless. Hence- the reason why im not going." Dawn made a sarcastic smile toward Savannah.
Dawn she picked up her parchment and handed it to her. "Oh The class is Charms, You know how to spell that right? C-h-a-r-m-s." "The essay is, 'In depth, describe Three advance Charms, how to do them, what they do, what can happen if done wrong, and when was it first done.' theres some ink if you need anymore." She said as she pushed her ink bottle toward Savannah. "Professor Flitwick, will be astonished. The work, grammer, and neatness will be so poor, He would think that I personally am suffering because of The Sullivan boy. He would probably send me to Madam Pomfrey." "Bonus for me actually. I get to get out of class." Dawn smiled as she pushed the paper closer to Savannah.

Savannah snatched the roll from Dawn's hand before she even finished explaining the assignment. Of course it really didn't matter much at all since Savannah had no intention of doing the homework. Dipping her quill into the ink bottle she began to write in gigantic letters.
"My charms teacher has a first name. It's too bad I don't care what it is. My charms teacher has a second name it's F - L - I - T - W - I - C - K. My charms class smells like boiled fungus with onion puss. If I could run charms class I'd make everyone sit in a circle and that way everyone could pass the bottle of flower scent so no one would have to smell this trash......"
On and on Savannah went without much care. Her talent at creative writing took over and she kept up her fierce pace of writing anything and everything that came to her mind. "I'm sure you will get top marks on this..." she said with a grin to Dawn.

Dawn watched as Savannah went on writting without a stop. She wrote how Flitwick was a smelly teacher and etc. She just laughed. Dawn didnt care, The essay wasnt due till tomorrow, and she could probably stick a 5th year with her assignment that night. Dawn grabbed up the extra ink and put it in her bag. She stood up from her seat and leaned over the table. In her hands she picked up 5 books, that previously were the main books she was looking up her essay answers in. Dawn walked over to the desk where Madam Pince sat watching the two converse. She set the books in front of her and said, "Yeah, im done.. Put them away if you choose." she said blankly, as she walked back to the table with Savannah.
Dawn sat down, and looked over at Savannah. Dawn was a girl who liked to put others down, but then again she liked to talk to new people. Savannah was a fun girl to be angery with, because other than other Ravenclaws she did retailate toward her remarks. Dawn watched as Savannah kept writting on the parchment she gave her for her essay. " You know Savannah, Ever think of venting your angery in another way other than verbal or writting?" Dawn said in a conning voice, as she watched Savannah. Dawn's two favorite actually school orientated pass times were 1st and foremost Quidditch and second Dueling. "As we are both of the same year, and have free time as well from cutting class. We both have a whole class period to do whatever we want." Dawn went on with her submission, while she tapped her finger nails on the table. "Care to have a Duel Savannah? Friendly or not, trust me you'd like it."
Dawn decided dueling was a fun pass time, and Savannah might for once break away from her 'outcast' persona. Instead of writing she could be interacting with others. Dawn grinned as she wondered if Savannah did accept if she would win. She very well could, but Dawn would love to put up a fight. Dawn grinning, sat tapping her nails waiting for Savannah's reply.
