Rules
1. There is to be no poor sportsmanship. This is a game designed for fun. I do not want it to create tension or discontent between members here. Please respect not only myself and the other people playing, but the site as a whole. We want to set good examples for those who will be following the game.
2. Please be active! If I could stress any rule, it would be this rule. I understand that things come up, and people will have unexpected times that they can't make it to the site. But, if you can, please try to inform me if you will not be around. I would like everyone to keep their maximum period of time away at a week. If you know that you won't be able to get on for more than a week, kindly consider removing your character from the game at the next possible elimination period. That way people who still want to play don't get eliminated while inactive characters remain in the game. If at all possible, check the game daily, although checking it every 2nd or 3rd day would be plenty in order to do well.
3. I as the host have the final say when it comes to making calls on unclear rules, etc. I will be as fair as I can. I offered a spot for someone to help me host to ensure complete fairness, but nobody accepted the position. However, I do promise that I will do my best to remain the most fair and understanding host as possible.
4. Rules are subject to change and/or be added to if deemed necessary.
Explanation of the Game
1. Each round will last an approximate week. Some will be longer, and others maybe shorter depending on the specific round.
2. Each round will have 1 Main Challenge. A Main Challenge is a challenge in which each member competes to earn their house an Exemption. Some of the Main Challenges will use teamwork, while others will be more of an individual effort.
3. Each round will also have an Elimination Ceremony at the end. The team that won the Main Challenge and the Exemption will be safe from the Elimination Ceremony. Each student left in the game will have 1 vote to cast for any other student in the game, except for any student from the house with the exemption. Once all of the votes are cast, I will put them all in a hat and RANDOMLY chose one vote. The vote that I draw from the hat will be the name of the person who is eliminated from the game for that round. I will not read all of the votes or reveal them in any way. Only the 1 vote will be revealed.
Note: I will give a 48 hour period in which elimination votes can be cast. If you do not cast your vote within the 48 hours, you forfeit your chance to vote.
4. Also, in each round, there will be Bonus Challenges. The number of bonus challenges will vary from round to round, and some may even last for longer than a round. Bonus challenges simply give you a chance to earn extra points for your house.
5. Once a house is down to having only one member left in it, that member is automatically exempt until the final round. The final round will consist of one member from each house. In the final round, each of the 4 players will play one last challenge to earn as many points as they can to add to the total that their house had accumulated through the game. The winner will be the student that is left in the house that has the most points after the final round.
6. There will be a few twists and unexpected things throughout the game to make it interesting. The above guidelines will help to understand the basics of the game though. There will also be a thread that has a running total of all the house points for each house, and it will also give a history of who earned the points and how they earned them.
7. If you have any questions, please ask them in a reply to this thread. That way, I can answer them for everyone else to see, in case they had the same question.
8. The first round is scheduled to start on Friday, September 15th. This is only a tentative date, but I am trying my best to make this date work.
