Hogsmeade sounds like a good way to spend today. Leo decided, still lying tangled beneath her sheets that Saturday morning, unable to fall back asleep. The sound of snoring and half sleeping mumblings came from all around her as she stared blankly out a window viewable from her bed. The sun hadnt even risen yet, but the sky had turned a burnt orange and pink color. Leo sighed and pulled herself up a little higher in her four poster, leaning against the head board. Another night without enough sleep. She'd gone to bed early infact, in hopes of getting in a reasonable amount of shut eye, yet she'd kept waking up every hour or so, and it would take her at least another to fall back asleep. Leo could not go back to bed now that the sky was no longer dark, so she slid out from beneath her covers. Her bare feet hit the hard floor with a smack, and she lightly tiptoed into the bathroom, careful not to wake anybody up. She shared a dorm with all of the 3rd year Gryffindor girls, which came down to quite a few people, and she was not too keen on depriving them of their beauty sleep and having to hear about it later. Leo splashed her face with water and peered into the mirror hung above the sink. Her large green eyes looked exhausted, and her long dirty blonde hair hung lank upon her shoulders. After about five minutes of freshening up a bit however, Leo was satisfied that it was now impossible to detect she'd gotton by on only a few hours of rest for the past week. It was a wonder what a little makeup could do, she thought, flipping her hair over to brush through the tangles.
Feeling quite drowsy still, Leo rumaged through her trunk, searching for an outfit to wear. Ripped jeans, a white tanktop, and her pair of hot pink coverse was what she decided on, and of course all her usual colorful necklaces and braceltes.
Leo had stealthily escaped from her dorm room without another sound 10 minutes later, and decided to relax in the commons until it was time for breakfast. Leaning back against the armchair she was sitting in, Leo thought about her year at Hogwarts. It'd been a fine one in her opinion, with plently of new friends and of course new expiriences, but she coulndt help but feel that for once, something was missing. Leo had never really cared much about boys in the passed, or at least she'd never considered having a 'serious' boyfriend before. She liked to flirt, and to play around with different guys. Her personality was too spontaneous to settle down and stick with one person for too long. Leo wrinkled her nose as she chipped at the black polish on her nails. She hated to think having a boyfriend would be something to worry about. She certainly was not desperate. She just sort of, thought it would be nice... Her mind reluctantly conjured images of Tommy back home. Was it him she wanted, or perhaps she had hidden feelings for someone else...?
Leo looked up, startled, as she heard a door close and someones heavy footsteps enter the common room.

Kia turned over sleepily, knowing that she wouldn't get back to sleep but resenting it. Whatever had woken her up was going to pay with their life. Well, not their life but maybe a treat of chocolate ice-cream. Yes, that would be a good way of repaying her for the loss of sleep. Oh wait, Kia scowled, her mind fully waking up and providing her with all the facts. She'd woken herself up by rolling over and hitting the wall. That had hurt too. Kia rubbed her head gingerly and turned to glare at the wall menacingly. One day that wall would die by Kia's hand. She would make sure of it. She had suffered far too many attacks from that wall and so it just had to die. As did that desk in that classroom on the third floor. So many inanimate objects to kill; so little time. Maybe it was time to recruit a partner. They could call themselves The Army. No...that was a muggle thing. Ahah! They could call themselves The Kitty Army and they could train kitties to attack desks and walls! Oh yes, Kia was a genius. The smartest of the smart. No one could beat her.
Kia abandoned that train of thought when she tried to jump out of bed but got tangled up in her sheets and fell on the floor. Alright...so she could be a bit smarter. But that didn't mean that she couldn't start the Kitty Army! All she needed was someone who hated desks and walls and floors as much as she did and she was set! But first, breakfast. Kia practically threw herself through the door and got as afar as the common room before remembering that she had to get dressed. Yet...did it really matter? Kia spent a few seconds hovering by the portrait before shrugging and leaving, still clad in her pajama's. Who was likely to be up at this time of the morning? Well, except herself obviously. And indeed, Kia made her way to the kitchens without any interruptions and begged some breakfast off the house elves. Not that they weren't willing to give up to her anyway.
So it was a very happy, very hyper Kia that bounced back to the common room, filled with the sugar of breakfast danishes and just the smallest bowl of chocolate ice-cream. Well if they remembered that she adored it then who was she to resist? "Leo!" Kia grinned and threw herself into a chair near her dorm mate, ready to start a conversation with a girl whom she hadn't really talked to despite sharing a dorm for three years. "How are you? Isn't it a lovely morning? Nice converse though I don't really like pink." Kia grinned impishly and stood up to twirl and show off her lime green pajamas with red polka dots on them. "Don't you just love my clothes? Aren't they simply adorable?" Kia collapsed into the chair again, laughing uncontrollably and not caring if Leo thought her strange. She should be used to it after three years anyway.

Leo smiled cheerfully, coming out of her trance, as Kiana Brightstar entered the common room through the portrait hole, bounding toward her with her usual burst of ferocious energy. Leo liked Kia just for that. She was always bubbly and hyper and seemed like a lot of fun. "I love pink!," She said with a giggle as Kia commented on her converse. "Well if you ask me, you look like a Christmas ornament, with the red and green!" She laughed, "But still, a very adorable Christmas ornament." Leo couldnt help but start to join in with Kia's uncontrolable fit of giggles as she collapsed onto an armchair. She looked absolutely ridiculous but in a good way.
"Looks like someone over did it with the sugar." Leo joked, finally overcoming her laughter and watching Kia with a cheery smile. "Where can I find some?" She wondered why she had never really talked to Kiana before. They were in the same year, same house, and she could already tell that they'd be able to get along well enough. Leo was finding that there were a lot of people in her year and house that she'd never really paid much attention to before that perhaps she should have...
Leo crossed her legs indian style and began to play with the lace on her shoe. "So, are you excited for the summer holidays?" Leo asked. "I am. My step mum Mary says that she has a surprise for me when I get home and I hate surprises because I'm terribly impatient." She told Kia with a nod. "But I love when you finally get to see what the surprise is, that's the best part. Yup. So why are you up so early?" She asked suddenly curious. "Oh I didnt wake you I hope? I haven't been able to sleep much at all this week." Leo reached into the pocket of her jeans and found a peice of old gum she must've left there the last time she wore the pants. She pulled off the wrapper and popped it into her mouth, chewing loudly, until finally she could blow a bubble. Leo watched as the bubble stretched bigger and bigger until finally--POP! "Oops." Leo said with a goofy grin as she attempted to peel the sticky gum from her face.

Kia shuddered emphatically, unable to get her head around the fact that someone actually liked pink. It was a bad colour! Bad! "No, no, no, no, no! Pink needs to die! Pink should be banned forever!" Kia nodded sharply to emphasize her point before moving on to the more enjoyable -and certainly better looking - conversation about her pajamas. "A Christmas ornament?" Kia pondered this point for a few seconds before deciding that it wasn't at all a bad compliment and smiling brightly. "I like Christmas. And of course I look adorable," Kia gasped in mock shock, waving her hands about wildly - an old habit that she had never really bothered to get rid of. "I always look adorable! I'm Kia; how could I not be adorable?" Kia joked easily, grinning impishly and brushing a hand over a polka dot fondly. It was rather astonishing how well an item of clothing could show off someones personality. Like Kia, her pajamas were wild and likely to cause comments. Oh yes, clothes could tell so much about a person but only if you knew how to read the signs.
"It's impossible to have too much sugar! But it's easy to get some from the house elves in the kitchen. They're always ready and willing to give up food." Kia shrugged, eyeing Leo curiously and contemplating exactly why she had never bothered to talk to the girl before. Three years in the same house, same dorm, same year and mostly the same classes. How was it possible to not have at least approached the girl before? Then again, Kia had never really bothered to talk to most of her fellow Gryff third years. It was just one of those things. But next year, she was definitely going to try and persuade them to enjoy a night in so they could all get to know each other better. It would be fun! Truth or dare, facials, doing each others hair; there were so many possibilities for them to try out! But only if the other girls agreed of course; Kia would never force them into something that they didn't want.
"I hate surprises too! Well, I love them but waiting for them is so annoying! But yes, I can't wait to go home - not that I don't love Hogwarts because I do. I just really want to see my dad and my sister again. I'm planning on trying to persuade my dad to let me attend the Gymnastics classes again but I reckon he'll only let me if a friend or my sister goes with me so I'll persuade Kae, my sister, to come with me. It'll be so much fun. I can't wait for summer!" Kia lifted an eyebrow curiously and shrugged. "No, you didn't wake me. I was thinking that I'd woken you up actually since I'm guessing that I was up before you if I've had time to visit the kitchens and come back when you've only been sitting here. Lazy child." Kia giggled and stuck her tongue out childishly before leaning back in her chair cautiously as Leo started to blow a bubble, already sensing that this would end badly. Sure enough, the bubble burst and covered Leo with its stickiness. Kia wrinkled her nose distastefully; she had always hated chewing gum and found it distasteful. How anyone could enjoy it was utterly beyond her. Still, each to their own. If Leo enjoyed it then that was her right; just as Kia preferred to stay away from it.

((hehe, i find it funny that Kia hates pink so much and the girl in your avvie is wearing it, unless thats purple and im just blind lol )) Leo shrugged her shoulders and gave a silly grin still picking the gum from her cheeks and lips. “I guess I am lazy today, which is weird for me.” She said with a sigh. Well of course she was feeling lazy, she’d had a grand total of NO sleep the night before. Leo pulled subconsciously on the bright orange and lime green beads of her necklace, and watched Kia wrinkle her nose with disgust, watching her pick the bubble gum off her face with her other hand. It didn’t bother her much, it was just gum any way there were worse, more disgusting things. Leo didn’t get disgusted easily, and she hated people who cringed at the sight of mud or getting their hair wet. Why would you worry about your hair if it prevented you from having a good time? There was nothing wrong with getting a little dirty. In fact, sometimes it was quite fun. She chomped even more loudly on purpose and began to blow another bubble, moving closer to Kia’s face. She giggled and pulled back in case it popped. Sure she would tease the girl but she wouldn’t want to get her all sticky for no reason. Luckily however, the bubble did not break, and she was able to suck the air back inside, deflating it. She began to chew the gum again, though much much less obnoxiously, and pulled herself up more in her seat. “I love Hogwarts,” Leo said with a fond smile, thinking back to how her life had been before she’d come to the school. “I don’t fit in any where else, that’s for sure.” But she wasn’t really sure she cared about fitting in. Actually, she didn’t care. Who cares if people like you or not, life’s too short to be worrying about what the person next to you thinks. “But I do miss my friend Tommy back home.” Leo told Kia. “I’m sure gymnastics will be fun. It sounds like the perfect sport for you.” She said with a laugh, imagining Kia swinging about on the bars like a monkey. It actually seemed like a lot of fun, though Leo would probably be terrible at it.
