Tristen woke early. He hadn't gotten much sleep do to the fact that he had stayed up all night writing. Tristen had a tendency to get deeply into his writing and forget about sleep.Tristen rubbed his eyes, and looked around to see if his roommates were up yet. Tristen covered his eyes with his pillow. It was so bright, and he had left his curtains drawn. Tristen didn't like to wake up early, and not when the morning sun is this bright. He looked a mess. His normally curly hair was in a shagged not on his head. His eyes were still asleep yet they were open. Lets just say he really was bad at this. He was very tired and didn't want to get up out of bed. However, today was Saturday, and had been telling himself he really needed to stir things a bit. But, he still had a lot of time to get some more sleep in before he had to get up. Tristen decided that this would be best so he closed his tired eyes, and got some more rest.
A couples hours later, he woke feeling refreshed. Tristen hopped out of bed, and went to the bathroom to comb his hair, and brush his teeth. When Tristen was finished, he walked calmly back to his room, and put on his clothes. Tristen heard a little scratching noise. He looked around to see where the noise was coming from. Tristen laughed while discovering his cat Scruffs scratching on the door. He sat on the floor, and picked up his cat. "How have you been?" Tristen laughed jokingly. He heard a noise coming from where his roommates were. "Am I interrupting something?" Tristen's roommate asked while smirking at the sight of the fifteen year old Gryff talking to his cat. "Uhh no.." Tristen said smiling with embarrassment. He stood up still holding the big cat in his arms. Tristen put on his shoes, and decided to go to the common room. Tristen took his cat, because he hadn't let her out of his room that much.
Tristen smiled as he arrived inside the Gryffindor common room. He saw a few of his fellow Gyffs in there. He said hi to the ones he knew, and smiled politely at the ones he hadn't met yet. He walked over to a couch, and sat down. He let his cat walk around on the floor. Tristen was just praying that his cat didn't get himself into any trouble. He sat just enjoying the beautiful fire that was in the fireplace. He just sat, and waited. He didn't know what he was really waiting for but, an any case, he just waited. He heard someone behind him. They were saying something about what a cute kitty. He turned to look, and he saw Scuffs, and this Gryffindor he hadn't met before. He walked over toward his cat. "Was he bothering you?" He asked sweetly.

((Hope you don't mind me joining..if you do, say the word and I'm out of here .)) Enough studying. No more. Her head would implode if she did anymore studying. No more potions. No more Transfiguration. No more anything! Her brain wasn't big enough to contain all that information. Caitlin closed her book and placed it in her rucksack, before leaning over and pulling out her notebook and muggle pen. She uncapped it and started in on the story she needed to finish. If she didn't finish it soon she would go insane, if she wasn't already insane from studying too much. Slowly, but surely, her eyelids began to droop and her grip on her pen loosened. The blue ballpoint pen fell from her grasp and rolled on the hardwood floor, and Caitlin fell asleep around 2 in the morning. The alarm woke her up around 9, only 7 hours later. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and sat up, a crick in her neck. She bent it to the right and there came a satisfying 'pop!' Swinging her legs over the mattress, Caitlin's feet touched the cool wood and she yawned as she made her way into the washrooms. After showering, blow drying her hair, and brushing her teeth; she set out on the task of putting up her hair. Pulling the brush through the thick mass of brown hair, she somehow yanked it up into two ponytails that curled into two messy buns. Her long bangs fell to the right side and she could tuck them behind her ears, yet still have them cover her forehead. She reached over and grabbed her lipgloss, mascara, and eye makeup. Starting with the pink eyeshadow, she applied it to her lower lid as well as the bottom of her upper lid. Then taking a redish colour, she covered the pink shadow and made the red run out to a little past the corner of her eye. Mascara was next. She applied it, blinked, and then capped it. Her clear lipgloss went on her lips and she was ready to head out for the day. She didn't get far, however, when a cat walked up to her and rubbed against her leg. Caitlin bent down, a smile on her face and cooed; "Oh, what a darling kitty! What's your name?" She pet the cat's head and when she heard a voice speak to her she looked up and stood grinning. Tristen was in her year and although they hadn't actually met before, she knew who he was; "No. Not bothering me. It's nice to have someone greet me in the morning. What's his name?"

Tristen smiled, and replied. "His name is Scruffs.." He looked down toward the fluffy grey cat, and reached down to pick it up. He held the cat in his arms. He held him close to Caitlin so she could pet him. "I'm glad he wasn't being a bother.." "This was his first time this year that he has been able to be loose inside Hogwarts." "I'm always afraid he might break something, or eat something.." Tristen laughed remembering one year at Hogwarts when Scruffs chased someone's pet rat around through Hogwarts. It was a mess. Tristen was running around yelling.. Scruffs scruffs! It certainly was a site. Tristen looked up at Caitlin. He had known her, because they were in the same house, and year.
"Oh! Excuse my manners!" Tristen said suddenly remembering that he hadn't properly introduced himself. "My name is Tristen Cortson." He said grinning showing off his dimples. He shook his head, trying to get some of his blond shaggy hair out of his face.

Caitlin smiled, "Scruffs. If I may say so, it fits him perfectly." She flicked her bangs out of her eyes before introducing herself after Tristen did, "I'm Caitlin Martinez. You're a fifth year aren't you? It's kind of odd, that this is the first time we've actually met each other in the five years of going to the same school together, isn't it?" She laughed lightly and collapsed onto the couch behind her. She looked up at Tristen and tilted her head before looking into the fire. Maybe it wasn't that odd. She wasn't a very outgoing girl unless she was really hyper. The only person she was really outgoing with right off was Colin - and even then it was a little strange. After all she had nearly fallen off the bench. Caitlin shook her head and brought herself back to the present.
"I don't have any classes today, thankfully. I didn't get much sleep last night. And the sleep I did get wasn't very good. Sorry if I seem a bit out of it. I'm not usually like this." She grinned at him and stifled a yawn, "So what do you have planned for today? Anything exciting or overwhelming? I know, you plan on going on a wild adventure, yes?" Caitlin giggled and leaned her head against the back of the chair, closing her eyes and trying hard not to drift off to sleep.
((Sorry for the shortness.))

Tristen laughed. "Why thank you I thought so too!" He smiled, and continued to pet Scruffs gently. "Well Caitlin Martinez nice too officially meet. "That is quite odd.." Tristen made a curious face. "I have seen you around, this is just the first time we have formally met." Tristen smiled sweetly. He laughed as she just fell down onto the couch. She must have been tired. He looked at the entrance to the common room, it wasn't very active in there today. "Oh its ok." Tristen replied. He sat down Scruffs, and sat on a chair on the other side of the couch on which Caitlin was sitting. "Nothing much really, I wish I had something new, and exciting to do." "I had wanted to do something different today, at least I broke my normal schedule." Tristen laughed. All he had really done out of the ordinary was not going out to the grounds to write.
"Hey I met you." Tristen smiled nicely. He really had wanted to stir things up today. He had he met someone new so that was a good start. "So yes, I was planning to do something along the lines of that." "What about you though?" "Or are you just trying to catch on sleep?" He smiled looking over at Caitlin, he could tell she wanted to just fall asleep right there. Tristen turned his head and looked over at his dear Scruffs. He was attacking the leg of a chair. He just laughed, and sat back waiting for a response from Caitlin.
