Leah was sitting on her bed , in the girls' dormitory. She was looking out a window, which was right next to her bed. Leah was very shy, so you expect her not to go down to the common room. She saw the lake out her window, glistening the sunshine. "I wonder what little Kyle is doing.'Leah said to her self. Kyle was her little 1year and 1 month old baby brother.
" I wonder if I should go down there."Leah said to herself while looking down at the stairs.I guess I should." Leah said to herself. Leah talked to herself a lot. While walking down the stairs, her shoes made a clink clack sound. " I guess people know I'm coming." Leah said while she made the last couple steps down.
Everyone looked at her when she went down. She sat at the big couch in front of the fire. Leah took the picture of her family out of her pocket. First, she looked at Kyle. In the picture, he had a baby blue suit on, with ducks moving their beaks on it. Then Leah looked at Kayla, her little 5 year old sister. She was wearing a soft yellow dress, with bunnies jumping up and down on it. Kayla also had her Blonde hair curled in a pink head band. Then she looked at her mom. Her dress was just plain blue. Her mom had her Black hair up in a neat little bun.
Then Leah looked at her dad. He was wearing a black suit. his blonde hair was combed and pulled back. Her dad was an auror. He patrolled the outskirts of Hogsmeade. ''I hope you weren't hurt to bad." Leah said while touching his face in the picture. Everyone was waving the picture. She wasn't in the picture because she was in her first year of Hogwarts. That's when Kyle had just came home.
Leah had gotten so bored, she fell asleep. She was having a nightmare. Death Eaters were attacking her family at home. They took little Kyle. "No! " Leah said in her sleep. Someone was shaking her arm. "Leah, Leah."Somebody said .It was familiar voice.

Kia flicked through her book absently, her mind wandering from the text she was meant to be learning and drifting to the latest letter from her Father. Dad always tried to keep her updated on what was happening around the house, not wanting her to feel lost when she came back and everything had changed. Yet this letter had contained news that she wished her Dad had kept to himself. Her younger sister was acting out, causing trouble whenever she could and Kia's Dad was finding it hard to cope. Maybe...maybe it was time to arrange for a visit. She couldn't go home but she could meet her Father and sister in Hogsmeade. The school couldn't stop parents and siblings wanting to visit students in Hogwarts. And if the visit would help her younger sister to calm down then it was most definitely worth skipping the fun of visiting Hogsmeade with her friends to talk to her family. Kia rose from her seat in the Student Lounge gracefully, happy to have made a plan. Yes, if this was the best way to calm her sister then Kia was glad to do it. A happy tune sounded from her lips as Kia regained her natural fun-loving personality, spinning around energetically and pulling yet another terrified looking student into her wild dance. Kia always seemed to have a sixth sense when it came to picking students to dance with and had never grabbed a Slytherin student. Kia shuddered emphatically, knowing that doing so would be a fate almost worse than death. Kia released the younger student and ruffled the girl's hair fondly, calling her thanks for dancing along to the girl over her shoulder, as she bounced up the stairs to the Gryffindor common room. Life was fun, life was definitely fun. Especially when her temper had calmed enough to not make Kia a bundle of fury, ready to scream and yell at anyone, even her friends. The portrait slammed behind her noisily, marking her entrance to the room and earning a few amused glances. Most Gryffindors were used to Kia and her hyper personality now, except the little first years of course. But they'd learn that she wasn't insane, just eager for life's adventures. Not that many were to be found in the common room, but who knew? Anything was possible. Kia stopped at a couch and blinked at the girl lying down on it, apparently asleep. Not even a second passed before Kia identified the girl; Leah Kerkman, Gryffindor third year and shared a dorm with Kia. Kia didn't make a habit of talking with the girl but it was never too late to start. Kia shook Leah's arm gently when a fairly loud 'No!' came from the girls lips, "Leah....Leah, wake up. It's just a nightmare." ((I said I would arrive and here I am ))

(Thanks Leah was turning furiously when she woke up. "Yeah, just a nightmare, but an awful one though." Leah said while rubbing her golden eyes and shoving her black curls out of her face. " Hi Kiana, what are you up to?" Leah said while grinning. How long was I asleep? Leah looked at the common room clock. She had fell asleep at around 5 o' clock and it was now just about 6. " Wow I've been asleep for an hour." Leah said while standing up. "Shall we get something to eat?"Leah asked Kia. Kia agreed so they started walking out the common room. "Where does your family live?" Leah said while being curious. Leah stopped before they exited the common room. " Do you think I should get a ribbon? I don't want my hair in my food if you know what I mean." Leah said while grinning. They headed down to the girls' dormitory. " Have you seen my family picture yet?"Leah asked Kia. Leah didn't remember letting Kia look at it so she gave it to her to see. While digging in her red trunk, Leah told her who was who. " Do you see the baby? His name is Kyle.one month old in that picture. Do you see the little girl? She's my sister Kayla. She's three years old in that picture. And you can tell who's my dad and my mom of course. Ah ha! Found it!" Leah said while pulling the red and gold ribbon out. Leah pulled her hair back in a pony tail in the back and headed of to the Great Hall with Kia.

Stryder Stalk had hidden himself in his Dorm until all of his roommates had left. Stryder then grabbed a book from under his matress and took out the dozen of pencils he had stashed away. Stryder wasn't sure what his roommates would think about his drawing. It's not like drawing was something to be ashamed of but Stryder just wasn't ready to show them his poetic side.
Stryder attemped to draw a fish, a simple goldfish, but it wasn't working. His talents were lost. He first year he could draw possibly whatever he wanted. After a while though he hated drawing, that's how he felft now. Stryder sighed and threw his drawing on the floor. He got up and went down to the Common Room to find inspiration.
Stryder found nothing though, let alone inspiration. For once the Common Room was empty except for some girl sleeping. He walked over to the girl and looked at her. It was Leah Kerkman. Stryder hadn't really ever talked to her. She was just in a lot of his classes.
Stryder looked down at a picture that had fallen on the floor next to her. He picked it up and say what was probably Leah's family. He placed it right next to the sleeping girl so when she woke she wouldn't freak out. He then walked over and sat on the "hidden" couch. The "hidden" couch was in the back corner, behind the stairs that lead to the dorms. It was nice when you didn't want to talk to anyone.
Stryder lay down on the couch looking up at the ceiling not sure what to think about. His thought process was interupted by Leah saying 'No!' Stryder raised his head and realized that Leah was having a nightmare. He was about to go over when a girl walked into the Common Room. This girl was Kia, another third year girl.
"Leah....Leah, wake up. It's just a nightmare." "Yeah, just a nightmare, but an awful one though." " Hi Kiana, what are you up to?" " Wow I've been asleep for an hour." "Shall we get something to eat?" "Where does your family live?"
Stryder listened to the whole conversation. It was the weirdiest one he had heard for a while. Kia didn't seem to talk that much. Stryder liked that. He wanted to go over and talk to them but he decided that the couch was much more comfortable. He waited for them to head out of the Common Room so he could have it to himself once more.
"Do you think I should get a ribbon? I don't want my hair in my food if you know what I mean."
Stryder waited for the girls to go back up to their dorm.
"Typical girls. Always worrying about their appearance."
Stryder didn't really care about his. He wasn't bad looking even when his hair was extremely messy. Girls though, they always had to look their best. He didn't get why.

Leah looked around and Kia was no where in sight. Leah sighed and went back down to the common room and sat down in one of back couches. Leah looked around and saw a boy. Stryder Stalk. She was in her defense against the dark arts class. Leah was hungry and didn't want to go to the Great Hall. "Accio bread." Leah made a piece of bread appear. Leah started snacking on it. When Leah was done She looked at her family picture once again. Leah looked down. she saw a ring and it looked like an expensive one to. It had one glittering opal in the middle and it was pure gold. It looked like a boy's ring. Boys have no sense of style. " Hey, Stryder ! Is this yours?" Leah said and looked behind her and held up the ring.
( Sorry for the shortness, I couldn't think of what else to write.)

It wasn't long when the girls came back. At least he thought they did. Instead of Leah and Kia returning, it was just Leah. She had sat near him on another one of the back couches close by. Stryder watched her Accio bread. He ignored her for a bit, he didn't feel like being social. Stryder returned to his examination of the wall. There wasn't much to see but it kept him occupied. Stryder counted a few dark marks on the ceiling that must have been made by some students messing around. There were six of them, all scattered about.
After counting the spots Stryder focused his attention on the pictures surrounding the Common Room. There were so many wizards and witches that would move around and interact. Stryder didn't like them that much, least the ones that he had talked to. They made fun of him for having messy hair. Stryder liked his hair. He fluffed it up making it even messier. He looked over at Leah once more, she was picking something up.
" Hey, Stryder ! Is this yours?"
Stryder propped himself up so he could see what Leah was holding. He still couldn't tell what it was, it was shiny though, maybe it was a coin. Stryder's curiosity took over and he got up and walked over to Leah. He joined her couch and examined the object closely. It was a ring. Stryder didn't wear rings.
"Nope. I don't wear rings. Can I look at it though. It might be one of the boys' from my dorm."
Stryder wasn't sure if his roommates wore rings or not. He wouldn't be that surprised if the ring belonged to one of them though. They were a bit odd sometimes and liked showing how rich they were.
