The feast had looked delicious but Cathy couldn't eat it. She couldn't stop thinking about all the attacks and the deaths on the train. It had shaken her terribly. She didn't like the thought of people hi-jacking the train and killing students on the way. Mostly that poor girl....Laura Pennington? Cathy couldn't quite remember the name, although that sounded about right. Others were wounded and one student was in critical shape, she thought. It was just a rumor going around that it had been a student in Slytherin. She sighed as these thoughts brought up the speech the Headmaster had spoken just a few minutes ago. Could the Houses unit into one? She highly doubted it; maybe Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Gryffindor stood chance, but Slytherin would refuse point-blank to even come to an agreement with someone outside their house. Cathy shook her head, sad that people could be so blind by the need that was in the air. She got up from the table as the Great Hall bustled with everyone getting up and walking off to their Common Room. She followed the Gryffindors up to the Fat Lady's portrait. It allowed them entry and Cathy walked on inside. She wasn't tired in the least; her thoughts wouldn't allow her to drift off like that. She watched as the crowd slowly filtered up the stairways and into the dormitory.
Cathy sighed and wondered away from the line of students to sit on the plush red armchairs. She settled down in one, happy that they were so comfortable. What was she going to do now? Not sleep? She had to get ready for classes, which would begin tomorrow. She ran a finger through her long blond hair, wondering what her twin was doing at this moment. Even Gisselle had looked tired; she must not have partied this night. She smirked slightly and put her legs over the arm piece so her feet dangled. It felt good just to relax like this, although her mind was screaming with questions. What would Hogwarts do now? What extra security measures would be taken? What would the Ministry have to say about a Hogwarts student dying in an attack on the very train? She placed her pointer-finger on her temple, trying to stop the resounding pounding that made it impossible for her thoughts to stop the steady flow.
