"Carr! Carr!" Three seven years old called in unison as they jumped on their older brother. Carr laughed loudly as Nicholai started to punch him in the stomach playfully. "Ahh! Hey now I wasn't prepared!" Carr called as Diem and Tazanna backed away and started to laugh at Carr and Nick. "Too bad!" Nick called. Carr laughed loudly as the two wrestled playfully. Soon, Tazz couldn't stand any more of it. "Stop it! Stop it! One of you is going to get hurt!" She called holding her hands to her ears. Diem glared at Tazz. "Lighten up Tazz. There only playing." Diem said happily as she joined the tackled fest with the two boys. Carr laughed. Even though Diem was the youngest, she could hold her own more than nay of the others. She wasn't very tall or strong, but Diem knew exactly what she wanted to do and when she wanted to do it. Finally, Carr began to gasp for breath. "Okay guys, that's enough." He said still laughing. "You can look now Tazz. We're done." He told his sister who was turned in the other direction. Her back stiffened and then she turned to face the other. Tazz sighed and smiled when she realized that they really were done. "Baby." Diem said slyly out of Tazz's ear range. Nick laughed along with Diem. Carr looked around. "Hey guys, where's Rose?" Carr asked looking for the triplet's nanny. "She went to the Three Broomsticks." Diem said calmly shrugging. Carr sighed. "And she left you guys out here alone?" The triplets nodded. "Great." Carr said sighing. "Well, tell dad he's not going to make me fire another nanny again. He can to it." Carr told them. All three nodded. "Well, c'mon. You guys only have awhile before you go back home." Carr said as he began to walk closer to the village. The triplet's faces lit up and they all ran to catch up with Carr.
Carr was the oldest of seven siblings. He actually liked having such a large family. More people to talk to, more chaos around the house. Carr actually liked chaos. Well, actually, he was just used to it more than anything. Every now and then, the triplet's nanny would bring them to Hogsmeade to explore and see Carr. Carr never really minded. After all, he only got to see his family at home during the few breaks that the school actually had. Carr giving Diem a piggy back ride now as they walked to get something to eat. Carr decided against the Three Broomsticks even though that was where Rose was. Well, she would figure out where they were eventually. Carr walked towards a cafe that looked pretty child friendly. "Carr!" Diem shouted. "What Diem?" Carr said tiredly. "I got a letter from Henri and Lori!" She said in her squeaky voice. "Me too! Me too!" the others shouted. Carr smiled. Henrietta and Lorraine were the twins who went to Beauxbatons. They were first years and Carr knew that the triplets missed them a lot. "Um, how about from Emory?" He asked knowing that this was a touchy question. The triplets grew silent. Emory was the only other single birth besides Carr in the family. He went to Durmstrang and lived with an uncle. Emory really pretty much hated him family for no known reason. "Nope, none." Tazz said shaking her head. Carr sighed. "Oh well. Who wants food?" Carr asked excitedly trying to get the mood light again. "Me! Me!" The triplets sang in perfect unison. Carr laughed as they walked into the cafe.
"Ouch! Carr, Nick hurt me!" Tazz screamed to Carr from across the table at the cafe. "Did not!" Nick protested as he rolled his eyes at Tazz. Diem rolled her eyes as she sat in Carr's lap. Even though Diem was a tuff one, she had a soft spot for Carr. She always had and Carr didn't mind it when his youngest sibling liked to hang out with a lot. After all, Diem was the baby. "C'mon guys. Just finish up." Carr said as he pointed to their food. "I'm done." Diem said leaning back into Carr's stomach. "So am I." Tazz said as she eyed Nick out of the corner of her eye. Nick nodded. "Ok." Carr said. Carr picked Diem up and took her with him to pay the bill. Tazz and Nick rolled their eyes. "Carr has always liked her best." Tazz said with her arms crossed. Nick had a much simpler out look on life so he didn't care too much. "Pretty much." Nick said lightly before he started to get out of his seat. Carr came back moments later. "C'mon guys. He have to find Rose. It's time for you guys to go." All of the triplets whined in perfect chorus and gave Carr sad faces. "Sorry guys." He said putting Diem on the ground. "C'mon." Carr said leaving the cafe. The triplets followed.
"No!' Diem called. "Diem let go." Rose said fifteen minutes later as she tried to coax Diem out of Carr's arms. Diem didn't let go. "Let go!" Rose said angry now. "I've got this, Rose." Carr said calmly. He looked at Diem. "C'mon De." He whispered in her ear. "Don't be the family baby. You’re better than that. I'll see you in a few weeks." He said in a soft, kind voice. Usually, Diem was very boy like and could hold her own. But, her baby like ways came out every now and then and Diem would get attached to things easily. Diem whipped the last tear from her face. "Okay." She said letting go from Carr's grasp. After Diem let go, she decided to grasp on to Carr's legs instead. Tazz and Nick followed and did the same thing. "I give up." Rose said walking away. “I’ll be on that bench when there ready.” Rose called. “Rose! That’s what my dad pays you for. I go to school!” Carr called back, but Rose didn’t listen. “Yepp, daddy will fire her all right.” Tazz said happily. Carr laughed. “Ok, I know you guys aren’t that attached to be. Quit trying to get her fired.” Carr said laughing. “But, it was a rather good plan.” He admitted. “Thanks.” Diem said. Her fakes tears were now gone and a wide grin replaced it. “Good face De.” Nick said to his sister. Diem grinned. “Okay, well go now guys. I’ll see you all in a few weeks.” They all nodded, hugged Carr once more, and left to get Rose. Carr sighed as he watched Rose take them away. Wow, that was tiring. Carr took a deep breath and turned around, but he hit someone. Actually he hit them hard enough for Carr to fall backwards. “Ahh!” He called. Ouch. He hit the ground, but it wasn’t too bad. Carr sat there for a second. “Wow, great end to a tiring day. And how many people have told me over the years that I couldn’t be tired? Or shut up?” Carr joked about himself. He looked over at the other person. “You okay?” He asked.

“No, mum, I love it, really.” “You sure, you aren’t just telling me that so I won’t feel bad for getting you a rubb- Ryan, put that down! No! Don’t!” Weetzie winced as she heard a crash and a smash on the other end of the phone line. “Ryan Kyllins! Time out, now! Ugh, sorry about that honey, you know Ryan. She got into one of her tantrums, the good news is her mother will be here soon, the bad news… she broke your vase you made me for mother’s day when you were ten.” Weetzie smiled brightly at the memory of the hideous vase that her mother had displayed proudly in the china hutch. She was pretty sure it was a good thing the vase was broken. “It’s fine, Mum, it was ugly anyway.” “Oh, no, darling it was a very lovely vase. Perhaps a bit bumpy in places, but it was lovely. Josh, Jeremy, stop taunting Ryan, she’s in time out! Look, honey, I’ve gotta rush. The boys are terrorizing Ryan, I can’t wait until Julia gets home. I wish you were here, as well. I love you, honey, bye.” Her mother hung up before Weetzie could even say good bye back. With a wistful sigh, Weetzie hung up her cell phone and set it on the table. She rarely got to talk to her mother, much less see her, and their conversation was always filled with distractions whenever they had one. Maybe she shouldn’t feel so angry, or disappointed, because it could be worse, but Weetzie couldn’t help it.
Stirring her sugary tea with the silver spoon, watching the red liquid swirl and swirl in the glass. It wasn’t hot tea, Weetz needed something to cool her down and hot tea wouldn’t do that. She was always warmer than normal body temperature and because of that, she needed to make sure she drank cooler liquids. It wasn’t that she had a medical condition; actually, Weetzie didn’t know what it was. The sugar floated to the bottom and Weetzie lifted the glass to her lips. She was sitting outside the Three Broomsticks at the only table they had outside. Madame Rosmerta knew she liked to be outside, so Weetzie always sat outside when she was at the pub. Her eyes followed the shoppers and the busy people spending their holiday money. Her day had been uneventful, meaning she hadn’t done anything but ate a sandwich, called her mother and talked to her for ten minutes, and that was it. It could be worse, Weetzie thought, I could have stayed at the castle and not done anything today. She set her glass down and leaned back in her chair. Everyone rushed by and there were two people who were walking slowly. A little girl, that seemed to be about five, and her father. He was holding her hand and she was skipping along and pausing every now and then to tug on her father’s hand. He would then kneel down beside her and she would whisper something in his ear, pretending it was something top secret. The father would feign surprise and shake his head in pretend disbelief before rising again, only to kneel once more in two more minutes.
Weetzie smiled as they passed by her table, the man tipping his hat in her direction. She would never have that kind of relationship with her father. Not necessarily the childish game, but the relationship that would last forever. Another lengthy sigh escaped her and Weetzie finished off her tea before standing and gathering the dishes. She took them inside, set them on the bar, and paid. When she stepped outside it was to see a sight of three children, Carr McDuff, and a woman. Weetzie watched with interest, being briefly reminded of home as one of the girls wouldn’t let go of Carr. A smile was on her face when the children revealed their secret. They all left and she started to leave, too, feeling embarrassed for having watched. It was then Carr turned around and slammed into her. Weetzie staggered, but gained her balance by holding onto the doorframe. Carr, however, wasn’t as lucky and fell to the ground. Weetzie’s mouth formed a small ‘o’ shape and then broke into a smile. She held out her hand as Carr asked her if she was alright. Helping him to his feet, Weetzie answered. “No harm, you’re the one who took the nasty spill.” Carr was in her house and year, so she knew who he was but she didn’t know too much about him. That wasn’t a surprise, she rarely knew anything about anyone.

Carr nodded as he brushed some dirt off of his clothing. "Thanks." He said as Weetzie helped him to his feet. Weetzie O'Keeffe was a Hufflepuff girl in Carr's year. Carr hadn't spend much time with her over the years. But, there was no time like the present, right? Or at least that's how the saying goes. Carr regained his footing. "And now I remember why I decided not to become a ballerina." He said joking lightly. Carr looked over his shoulder. The triplets were still gone. He didn't know why he thought they would have come back. He just did. Carr sighed as he looked back at Weetzie. "Hmm, maybe I should have taken those dance classes. I mean, I think I would look pretty good in that tutu." He said laughing. Sometimes, Carr's jokes only made sense to himself, but he didn't really care if people understood what he was saying or not. Carr tired not to care what people said or thought about him. Sometimes, he did a good job of that. Other times, not so good. Oh, well. Carr had gotten by pretty well at Hogwarts all by himself. Now the question was, was he going to stay that way forever or let someone new into the crazy world in which he thrived?
"Well, I'm glad I didn't knock you down a long with me. That's a whole new level of clumsiness that even I don't want to admit to." He said grinning. "Oh, well. I've never been much of stable person." He said shrugging. Carr had the tendency to go on and on. he actually didn't notice it. Nor did he mean to or care about it. Well, you can't really be upset over something that you don't notice, right? Right. Carr prodded his feet into the old snow. Suddenly, he shoe lost its grip on the mush of snow and Carr nearly fell down again. However, just before he hit the ground, he pushed his hand out to stop him. This gave him a chance to jump back up before he hit the ground completely. Carr sighed as he stood to his feet again. "Well, I think I've had my share of lovely accidents for the day, don't you?" He shrugged. "Well, one more and I'm at my limit." He said laughing lightly. Carr looked at Weetzie. "Well, since I did run into you and made you wittiness my lovely clumsiness, I think I owe you a butterbeer." He said smiling. "What do you think?" Carr asked with a grin on his face waiting for Weetzie to respond.

Weetzie nodded in response to Carr thanking her. It was only the reasonable and nice thing to do wasn't it? She laughed when Carr said something about becoming a ballerina, "I think you would made a lovely ballerina. Perhaps not a prima ballerina, but a lovely one nonetheless." She knew she had always wanted to be a ballerina when she was younger. But then that was replaced by a rock-star. Now, Weetzie was pretty sure she wanted to be a writer. It seemed to fit. Carr was looking over his shoulder now, and Weetz looked down. It wasn't until he said something that she looked back up. "Oh, yeah, the tutu and the tights. You'd have all the girls after you then."She offered him a bright smile, telling him she was joking, although she figured he didn't need to be told. He seemed to understand when someone was joking or just being a jerk - the latter of which Weetzie certainly wasn't. At least, she didn't think she was. She didn't know what others thought considering she rarely hung out with anyone.
"I knid of wish you had, at least that way I wouldn't feel like a complete fool. Besides that, it's always good to fall down sometimes, that way you won't forget you're not invincible. Even you have your faults, too. Does that make sense?" Weetzie tilted her head to the right with a hopeful smile on her face. A lot of the time she spokt about things that didn't even make sense to her, how was someone else supposed to get it if she couldn't? She watched as Carr almost slipped again, but caught himself in time. Weetzie laughed lightly and shook her head. Carr made her laugh and that was a good thing. Weetzie loved to laugh. "You're just falling all over the place. Perhaps you should sit down before you cause anymore harm to the ground." Weetzie smiled again, in that hoking way. She had smiled before. It was then Carr offered to buy her a butterbeer. Weetzie nodded, "I think a butterbeer sounds great, except for the actual butterbeer part. I'll go for an iced tea, though." Weetzie rolled her eyes, "Don't ask. I get really warm even in weather like this. It's an O'Keeffe thing." Surprisingly, though, her mother didn't have it. Weetzie often found that odd, but figured she got it from her father.

Carr laughed at the ballerina jokes. "Can I have that in writing?" He joked. "Then, my father would actually have to admit that he was wrong for once." Carr said making fun of his father without really meaning it. He did that a lot, but he didn't really mean to. "I guess with him it's his way or the high way." Carr sighed again. He was making fun of his father again. The words were just slipping out of his mouth unintentionally. Carr couldn't really help it though. It was easy to make fun of his huge family without meaning any of the many words that were slipping from his mouth. Carr didn't really have a problem saying things about his siblings and his father, but his mother..She was a different story. Carr couldn't even talk about her in public much less joke about her at all. There was too much mystery behind his mother that Carr didn't even known himself. Even tough, funny boy Carr couldn't bare to mention her. Carr sighed. Okay, move off the father stories, buddy. He told himself. Carr laugh and then pretended to look offended when Weetzie said he would have all the girls after he became a ballerina. "Oh thanks." He said in a mean sounding joking way that was pretty easy to understand. Carr was about 99% joking, 1% laughter. which could be called the same thing sometimes. Carr broke into a smile after his joke. "And to think, my brother always thought that basketball would make me popular with the ladies." He said smiling in his usually happy way.
Carr nodded and smiled slightly at Weetzie's words. He understood what Weetzie was saying. Really, Carr hadn't talked to her too much before. But, as strange as it may seem, he liked the way she spoke. Something about how her words were so true and made so much sense without trying too hard to get them together. Or at least that was how it seemed to Carr. He smiled slightly. Usually, he talked like a jumbled fool, but maybe that was who Carr was. Oh, well. He couldn't and wouldn't change himself. Carr smiled at Weetzie. Okay, maybe he could stop joking and be serious for a moment. He could, right? He nodded again. "I think I understand." He said trying to talk normally. "Everyone needs to fall or completely loose it every now and then. It makes a person, well, normal." Carr stated smiling. Did he get that right? He thought so. For Carr to say something even a tad meaning full he really had to think about it or so Carr thought. The truth was, he could come up with meaningful words without the use of his crazy little brain.
Carr smiled. "That's probably a good idea. I'm sorry Mr.Groundie." he said jokingly towards the ground like a four year old. Carr smiled and look back up. Carr nodded slightly. "An O'Keeffe thing, eh?" He asked in a high pitched voice. "Sure, an iced tea it is. But, I don't think I can resist butterbeer." He said shrugging. "Ever since I was little I'm pretty sure I learned to love anything that contains the word 'butter'." He explained remembering those days and nothing that this was a true story. Carr wasn't fat at all, but he did like food. Hey, it was a guy thing. A guy thing that Carr didn't have a problem with, at all. Carr started walking in the direction of the Three Broomsticks assuming that Weetzie would follow the plan. "So, Weetzie O'Keeffe any other strange eating habits I should be aware of?" He asked simply joking. "Just kidding. I'm not that much of a freak. Carr opened the door of the Three Broomsticks and picked a table. He sat down and waited for Weetzie to join him and for the waitress to ask for orders.

Weetzie groaned, “I hate parents like that. They’re always, ‘be perfect!’ or ‘always score the highest on your O.W.L.s!’ They never really seem to care what we want.” She shrugged. Her mother was amazing, she was always supporting Weetzie with what she chose to do with her life or her talents, but when it came to the day care kids… her mother was a bit harsh. Weetzie often felt bad for them, but she knew she couldn’t do anything about it. Her mother was her mother and nothing could change that, not even an intervention. “Basketball?” Weetzie grinned and shook her head, “Hot sweaty guys on a court chasing after a ball?” she bit her lip in thought and then nodded slowly, “I can see where he got that idea.” She sent Carr a bright smile and then leaned forward as if she were about to tell him a huge secret. “Girls like a guy who is good at something they enjoy watching. For instance, I would never ever date a rugby player because I can’t stand to watch the sport. A football player, on the other hand, would be like a god to me because football is amazing and I love playing it as much as I do watching it.” Weetzie stood up straight again and smiled sweetly, “That doesn’t go to say I play it well, though, so don’t go getting any ideas in playing a game and betting something. You’d win.”
She crossed her arms and tilted her head as Carr said he thought he understood, he then went into explanation and when he did, Weetzie jumped up and down with a laughing smile on her face. “That’s exactly it! It’s like… you fall off your high horse if you fall down every now and then, you know?” She stopped jumping and smiled with happiness. It wasn’t often someone got her logic, and she might have appeared weird to Carr, but she didn’t care. Weetzie crossed her arms again, a bright smile still on her face. The feeling of relief that she wasn’t the only one understood what she was saying was overwhelming. “Sorry,” she said with an amused grin on her face, “I think I get overly excited about the littlest things in the world. Though sometimes that isn’t entirely a bad thing. Sometimes people need to be overly excited about something to realize how good it is.” Weetzie raised an eyebrow, wondering if Carr understood what she meant and then laughed, “Although that has nothing to do with why I was jumping up and down.”
Weetzie nodded when Carr question her O’Keeffe body temperature. She couldn’t explain it; it was just something that she had always had. She was always too warm during the summer and the right temperature during the winter. Her mother had freaked out when she found out about Weetzie’s abnormally high body temperature and thought she had a fever. It took the doctors at the hospital nearly three hours to convince Maire that she wasn’t dying. “’Butter?’” Weetzie asked in reply. She understood what he meant by loving anything with the word ‘butter’ in it, only she had a different taste that she adored on everything. She walked beside him as he asked her if there were any other eating habits she had. He then said he was kidding and Weetzie laughed, “Carr, if you’re a freak, I’m a freak. Hey, you’re the one who wanted to be a ballerina.” She laughed again as she shook her head, “But to answer your question, yes. I have many other weird eating habits. My biggest one being that I love ketchup on everything.” Weetzie looked at him before she entered the Three Broomsticks and followed him to the table.
((So sorry for the delay.))

Carr nodded and smiled in his usual hyper way. He could feel it; he was becoming more hyper by the second. Why did he have so much pent up energy? Oh well. Hogwarts kind of did that to him. Carr had to calm down through classes and keeps his crazy thoughts to himself. So Hogsmeade Weekends always made Carr extra excited. There was a chance to him to crazy, care-free fun and still not completely embarrass himself. Well, usually. Carr didn't really mind embarrassment. It was what made life seem so fun to him. Well, for him at least. Usually, embarrassment wasn't a hard thing for him but others, well maybe not so much depending on the person. Carr laughed for a few seconds. "Yea, yea. My dad loves to tell me what he thinks is best. But, maybe one day he'll realize that he has six other kids to annoy." Carr smiled. "Oh, well. At least I'm at Hogwarts away from dad saying 'Become an Aurora.' for the millionth time." Carr explained as he said his dad's line in a fake father voice. Carr would never become an auror. He would never be able to stand all the work especially indoors. Nope, whatever he did, it had to be outside to keep Carr happy and sane.
Carr laughed. "Ahh please don't agree with my brother. Please don't!" Carr joked not caring who saw his fake little display. He laughed. "And the worst part is that Nick knows all of this and he's seven." Carr said laughing wildly as usual. He hoped Weetzie didn't mind his crazy ways, but it wasn't like he could change them. Nope, Carr had always been crazy fromt he inside out. Carr smiled at Weetzie's secret. "Hmm, good to know. Well, I guess I will just have to be ungirl liked because the only kind of sport I do is horse back riding. And a while Alberto is a lady killer, I have to say that the girls will just drool over my horse more than me. Okay, they will just love him in general and I will just be 'Alberto's rider.'" Carr said smiling. Well, it was true. Lori had always said that Al was a handsome horse, whatever that meant. Carr shrugged oh well. Carr faked a smirk. "Hmm, a football kind of girl. Good to know." He joked lightly not really thinking about what he was saying. He did that a lot. He was kind of ADHD that way, but he didn't really have that. Carr was just..Carr.
Carr jumped up and down with Weetzie. 'Yea! Yea! And then you kind of feel better, but sometimes not so much." Carr said as he stopped jumping and smiled lightly. Carr shook his head. "No, not apologize. Just look at me." He said laughing. "I get excited over the silliest things." He shrugged. "Okay, so maybe I get excited over everything." He admitted. Well, it was oh so true. Carr just liked everything and life so much. He couldn't really cold his feelings in. It was a gift and a curse. "Yea. I mean if you don't get excited about some stuff than what's the point in having fun? I mean in my opinion life sucks without a little fun every now and then. Okay, so maybe every second. Well, at least for me." He said smiling brightly. "Life is a party after all." He announced his very favorite line ever. So, maybe not all things about life were so terrific, but Carr really that that life was about living it to the fullest. Just as people did at parties. Seize the moment. Enjoy life.
Carr nodded. "Yes, butter. So I'll admit it, I'm a fatty at heart." He joked. Really, Carr was basically skinny. "Well, I have always loved food. But there is one word I love for than butter." Carr made a silly dramatic pause. "Sugar." He said truthfully. "Well, nearly everything has sugar in it anyways.” He said trying to act calm, but failing his attempt. Carr usually failed when it came to being calm. Oh, well. He just wasn’t genetically designed that way. At all, actually. “Hmm, we’re both freaks, eh? We should start a clue.” He said now getting excited. “We could wear matching hats or something.” He joked. “Oh, no we can’t I’ll get hat hair.” He said smiling. “Oh, well, club idea down the drain. Just then, the waitress walked up. “Yea, what do you want?” The girl asked. She wasn’t too much older than Carr and Weetzie. “Um, a butterbeer and an ice tea, right Weetzie?” He asked just making sure he got that right. “And a bunch of ketchup.” He joked. “Yea, whatever.” The waitress said as she walked away. “Sorry, habit. I order my brothers and sister’s food all the time for them. You want anything else?” He asked nicely. “Hey I know, for the club we could eat a bunch of sugar and ketchup everyday. Fun, eh?” He said laughing.
