Rayne gave the Zonkos attendent the 2 sickels and stuck the bag of purchases into the bigger bag that held about 10 more bags of goodies. She had decided earlier that morning she should probably get her Christmas Shopping out of the way as soon as possible. Since the weekend was hers she'd gone out and bought her Parents presents even though they would probably get her books and paper just like last year. She even got her cousins stuff. It wasn't like she had friends to buy for. With maybe the exception of Vlad. She wasn't sure where they stood exactly. One minute they were chatting about music in the Student Lounge the next they were sparring with words in the Courtyard because he had intervened where he wasn't needed. Still even though their friendship was up in the air she liked him. She should probably get him a present the only question was what.
Rayne decided she wanted to sit for a bit before partaking on the difficult journey of trying to shop for a person she barely knew. She walked into the Three Broomsticks and ordered a butterbeer. Looking around she finally found a table that was clear of people she walked over to it set her bags down then sat down herself. She opened her butterbeer and looked around at the occupancy of the shop. There didn't seem to be many people her age around. She sort of wished someone would come in and talk with her. It was boring being alone all the time.

Morgan had as usual woken up to every day music that morning. Usually she was all for it. It was pretty romantic. With the cool nights and the snowy days, but ever since her boyfriend from home had broken up with her through her parents, which was very sad, she had been in no mood to celebrate anything except her lifes death. She now wandered around the castly talking to people that couldn't see and were unable to tell how puffy her eyes are, and wearing nothing but black to match her mood, and doing everything she could to ruin anyone elses mood if they came around her to cheery. She had had her parents try to console her and make her feel better, of course it hadn't worked. And she had had her friend act extra nice. That didn't work either!
Everything seemed to be going from bad to worse. So now as she walked through the cold streets of Hogsmeade she could tell a few people were suprised to see her out and about. But truthfully she had been fed up with her room mates and need to go somewhere without them. Hogsmeade definately appealed to her. It was, infact a slightly windy day so not many people were outside. She was definately alone. Gazing at the cloudy sky she saw the preciptated clouds begin to get dark and could tell it was time to take cover before real rain came down. Slipping on her hood she slid into the nearest store and groaned when she realized it was Three Broomsticks. Seeing as the rain was actually now coming down she knew there was no chance of going back outside. Many tables were ful and she saw the only person who wasn't completely overhyper about Christmas was a girl she had only seen vaguely before. Walking over to the girl Morgan sat across from her and tried to smile, though she was sure it came out wrong. "Hi, I'm Morgan." she said politely, even though she felt like saying "Hi I am an Idiot and I cheated on my boyfriend so now I don't have either guy!", but she knew it was better and safer to stick with her name.
