Pushing a long strand of Mahogany brown hair out of her eyes Nika stared down at the blank piece of parchment in front of her. She had been sitting there for almost thirty minutes and hadn’t been able to come up with a single thing to write to her friend that lived back in the United States. Even though she moved a while ago she still had been able to stay in touch with a few of her good friends. It was hard though because she couldn’t tell them she was a witch. There was so much she wished she could tell them, she wanted to them all about how she learned that she was a witch and how cool it was to do things she never even dreamed that a person could do before. She new though that if she told them that they number one wouldn’t believe her and number two would think she had gone insane.
Sitting back in the comfortable red arm chair in the middle of the strangely for once almost empty lounge she looked briefly out of the window. It was windy and pouring down rain and yet Nika liked today's weather. It reminded her of when she was little and lived in Wisconsin of how they used to play outside in the rain even though it was could and sometimes windy. She also remembered how mad her parents would get when she came in the house soaked to the bone. They weren’t just mad at the fact that she was out in the rain and could get sick, they were also mad that she walked all the way threw the house to the bathroom in soaked clothes and would drench the carpet. Needless to say, her parents were clean freaks. Everything had to be clean at all times in the house or it would drive them nuts.
Smiling slightly at these old flashbacks Nika looked back at the blank piece of parchment and dipped her quill in the ink sitting next to it. Preparing to write she lowered her quill to the parchment but when there was a sudden clap of thunder she practically jumped out of her seat and ended up drawing a line right threw the middle of her parchment. Giggling slightly at her silliness she shook her head and looked around to see if there was anyone that she recognized. She had come here to try and write a letter to a friend but she was just not in the mood nor had the concentration level. She was in the mood to talk to someone and maybe even meet someone new.

“It’s time to smile!” the girl said to herself while she was walking in the lounge with some books in her arms. And then looked around. She was not very shy, but she returned to her dumb, contemplative personality for now. So she was just looking around, but she was not noticed around. And suddenly she hit a chair that she didn't noticed. This wasn’t Ravenclaw's area, it was Gryffindor’s place. The girl about 13 years old seemed to be disturbed, because Yuko hit the chair that the girl was sitting down on. Besides the girl was busy with a piece of parchment in front of her. So Yuko contorted her face hopelessly, “I’m-I’m so sorry about that..” she began to say hopelessly. Yuko’s books that she carried in her arms had been dispersed to the ground when she hit the chair. After Yuko had picked up her books that had dropped in the ground, she stood up and looked at the girl, again hopelessly.. “I’ve never met an event like this or I don’t remember. Anyway.. ” said Yuko to the girl and she added “My name’s Yuko, Yuko Yamamura. ” OOC: Sorry it’s so short, but just I could it, all that.

((Setting this before Harmony’s mother dies.))
Harmony peered out of the window in her dormitory at the end of the school day with an apprehensive expression on her face, hearing the pitter-patter of heavy raindrops against the pane of glass. Dropping her school bag beside the bottom of her bed, Harmony leaned her face to the window to see the terrible weather raging outside, and with a groan slid down onto the soft covers again. Harmony hated it when the weather was as bad as this. Where was the sun when you needed it? Bouncing up again, Harmony tried to dispel any negative thoughts that went with the lashing rain as she ransacked her possessions for her homework. ”Ari might be out there.” Harmony thought worriedly as a flash of lightning lit up the whole room despite the windows being rather small. Trying not to worry about her older sister, because she could no doubt take care of herself, Harmony shuffled all her desired items into her arms before heading down into the Common Room, saying a swift goodbye to her other dorm mates who were lounging around and Dori, who was still curled up sleepily on her four-poster bed.
”The Student Lounge is the perfect place to spend a day like today.” Harmony smiled cheerily to herself, leaving the warmth of the Common Room to make her way to her destination. She only had two pieces of homework to complete, and Harmony made a mental note to seek out her friends later. Perhaps Mineko wanted to do something together. Smiling happily at the thought, Harmony entered the luxury of the Student Lounge, and glanced around swiftly. It was rather full, which wasn’t surprising due to the weather. This area was always a great place to stay with friends on a day like this. The Student Lounge was always so warm and inviting, and Harmony enjoyed relaxing there. Observing everybody, she decided that the best place to sit was where a Gryffindor girl was working at. She seemed friendly enough, and although Harmony was always apprehensive about joining other people and having to socialise with them, she was determined to overcome such feelings of bashfulness. It was a restricting trait of her personality, and Harmony had to admit even she was getting fed up with herself.
Upon approaching the table, Harmony noticed another girl who was talking to the Gryffindor. This oriental looking Ravenclaw seemed to be apologising for something, and Harmony summoned up some courage to interrupt their conversation, “Oh, excuse me, can I sit here?” Harmony asked with a shy smile, indicating an empty chair next to the Gryffindor. The girls seemed nice enough, but they were both older than her; probably third years. Harmony did her best not to avoid eye contact, and maintained a friendly expression as she shuffled nervously, the outside weather only heightening her agitated insides as lightning flashed again.

Looking back at her paper slightly she rolled her eyes and mumbled to herself "Stupid letter!" After realizing what she said she couldn’t help but bust out laughing. She sounded like a little kid that didn’t want to do there homework and all she was doing was writing a letter to a good friend. It should be more like leisure then a task. Dipping her quill into the ink one more time and attempting to write something Nika was startled when something hit the side of her chair causing her to draw a line across her piece of parchment. Looking down at the piece of parchment slightly with a frown she looked up accusingly. In front of her was a girl that looked about the same age as her except in a different house. Looking instantly to the right upper corner of the girl's robe she saw a she was in the Ravenclaw house. Letting her eyes wander to the girl's face she instantly let her own expression soften when she saw the apologetic look on the girls face. Giving her a warm smile she said in her oh so famous sweet voice "Oh its ok, I wasn’t doing anything important." Smiling warmly at her she said "It's a pleasure to meet you Yuko. I'm Nika, Nika Tessmer 3rd…" but before she could finish she was interrupted by a girls voice. Looking up to see who was talking Nika smiled and gestured to the chair next to her. She loved meeting new people; it was an opportunity to learn something new about someone and to get to know different types of people. Looking at the girl she observed that even though she was trying not to show it she was nervous. She was always very good at reading peoples faces. She could tell if someone was upset even if they had the biggest smile on there face. It was in the way they held themselves and there eyes, was always a dead give away. It was something she had inherited from her mom. Giving her a reassuring smile she said "I'm Nika, Nika Tessmer and you are?" Looking at the girl named Yuko she gestured to the seat next to her so she could also join them. Hoping to get to know them better Nika waited patiently for a reply and watched as another flash of lighting consumed the room. (occ: dont worry about it, its actually really good!! }

“Nika Tessmer..” Yuko put in her brain and sat down next to the girl. At that moment a girl joined them too. She was a pretty girl and looking a little shy. When Nika asked her what her name is, she had said to them. “Harmony.. ” Yuko thought by herself, when she said her name. She was a hufflepuff girl and looking about 12 years old. So she was looking younger than Yuko and Nika.
Yuko smiled at them, “It’s very nice day.” she thought by herself. “Because, to meet different face is so nice.” Yuko smiled again, but perharps the girls had reeled when they saw Yuko’s that case. But Yuko didn’t care it and continued to watch them smiling. And suddenly, she stopped to smiling. Then Nika and Harmony had looked in a shock again. Perhaps they coudn’t understand why Yuko was in this case suddenly. But already Yuko didn’t know why she was in this case. Ofcourse, It was Yuko’s personality, a lot of time Yuko wasn’t reaching why she was in that case.
Yuko tried to dipsel her troughts and return to the area that she had became. And looked at both of the girls. “Will you write your homework? I think I’ll just read.” Yuko said to both of them demonstrating the books in her arms. Then she put her books on the table that she had remembered.

“Thanks.” Harmony uttered hastily with a grateful smile before sitting herself on the chair. Glancing briefly at the brown haired girl, she deduced that she seemed to be rather open and friendly, and Harmony was glad she wasn’t another person who wanted to bite her head off. She didn’t know why, but people generally liked to do that to her. Ari said she let herself be taken advantage of, that she had “that sort of innocent look”, which disgruntled Harmony a little, but she had to accept that her sister was probably right. Not only did she look it, she felt it. Placing her materials onto the table and beginning to sort them out quickly, Harmony looked up again as the Gryffindor spoke to her friendlily, introducing herself as Nika. Summoning a smile of her own, Harmony nodded in acknowledgment to her too, “Harmony Chan. Nice to meet you, Nika.” At this point, another flash of lightning flashed through the room for a mere second before the rumbling thunder followed it accordingly. Jumping in her seat slightly, Harmony tried to stifle a nervous giggle. The weather was certainly giving its all today. Harmony had yet to know who the Ravenclaw third year was as she joined her and Nika, but she welcomed her presence silently. “Nice to meet you too, um…?” Sending an apologetic grin, Harmony wondered what her name was. She and Nika would probably talk, leaving Harmony to focus on her homework. Smiling a little at the Japanese girl, Harmony grabbed her quill and began to unscrew the inkbottle. Glancing up at the Ravenclaw with blinking eyes as she spoke up, Harmony nodded at her words and set to work on the essay, letting Nika write away and the Japanese girl read quietly. Harmony was grateful for the lack of distraction, but inwardly she tried not to groan at the boredom she’d have to face for the next hour or so, but tried to be positive and pushed away such depressing thoughts. One could not complete homework to their best if they weren’t facing it with happy thoughts. ((Sorry for the delay, and for the rather diminished length too. There wasn’t much inspiration, and Harmony has never been a talker! Nika will have to start a good flow of conversation! Then perhaps we can get this moving ))
