Potions... ((Anna))

Isaac came in from the library and dropped a load of heavy potions books on a table. He then sat down in one of the stiff backed chairs, picking the top most one of the pile, he began flipping through it looking for any traces of the word Dittany. He paused on page twelve and bent closer to the paper. "Dittany is most commonly found in sun-filled areas... It has many magical properties... None of which we will list here." He stared down coldly at the book, and roughly tossed it in a armchair a few meters away. He picked the next book and started flipping again.

Anna walked down the corridor. She had to meet Isaac in like 5 minutes. How would she ever make it on time? They were supposed to go to the library together, but she guessed that he had went ahead and gone without her. She probably should have gone to the library and met him there, but she had had a better idea.

Instead she went outside and down to the vegetable patch to go see Professor Sprout. She had been wondering if Sprout would have or could recommend a book that had a lot about Dittany. Lucky for her and Isaac she did. Anna was allowed to borrow a book from Professor Sprout. And a good thing to, because the book had about ten pages on Dittany.

Anna had rushed back inside and was about two minutes away from the Student Lounge, which was about how much time she had to get there without being late. If she was late Isaac might think she was a slacker or something.

Anna reached the lounge, and burst through the door.

"I found a book we can use," she screamed and she began to explain how she got it.

His smiles broadly and hastily shoves all the books on the table in front of him. He then pulls a chiar over so its next to him, and brings his bag up, and pulls out his Dittany essay with a quill and a ink bottle. He lies it flat and looks up at her.

"Calm down, where did you find the book?"

He said slightly tipping his chair back and patting the seat next to him.

"Oh, instead of going to the library I just went straight down to Professor Sprout and she gave it to me. Sorry I guess I am a little hyper, it's just that I'm so happy that I found some info we can use on our essay. Why must Professor Snape give us so many essays a week, why can't he just give us some peace?" Wow that was random, Anna thought about what she just said.

She saw him pat on the chair next to him, and she took his offer and sat down in the comfy, red chair. She looked up at him and saw a twinkle in his eyes, she truly enjoyed being around him and having friends as she never made friends before she came to Hogwarts, and still not even till her third year did she make her real friends. Most of the people she had made friends with were oh so mean to her, but Isaac was nice and Anna was pretty sure he would not be like everyone else.

"Ok, let's try and finish this before midnight, so that when we go back to the common room, we won't be in trouble by Filch for being out past nine," Anna commented. "The uses of Dittany are..." and she started to read from the book as she too pulled out a roll of parchment, bottle of ink, and her quill.

"Professor Sprout... Right, Yeah I totally didn't think of asking the Herbology teacher. The whole fact being were dealing with something that has complete and utter realization with Herbology."

He said while rubbing his chin, and frowning. Grabbing the top book of his pile and flipping to the back page to look at the index. When he sees Dittany he turns back to page 394 scanning for the words Dittany. They were under Monkshood saying "Add your Dittany leaves after the concoction has simmered for exactly twenty-nine and one sixth minutes of a hour. Realizing that he had only grabbed books which had the words Dittany in them with potions.

"Oh well, thank god I have you tonight, huh?"

Isaac smiled at this and turned to page 6 and copied down the second sentence on his amazing twenty-nine word essay. The essay was supposed to be 2 feet long. Maybe if he wrote very, very large, he thought he might get done tonight.

"Sometimes my mind acts in very strange ways, I guess I just can't help it. I mean, sometimes ideas just come to me and I have no on earthly idea where they came from. For some reason as I was walking to the library I got this flashback, and it was of a lesson in Herbology about Dittany, and I just sort of got the idea to go and ask Professor Sprout if she had a book I could borrow. Does your mind ever work like that?" that had to be the weirdest conversation Anna had ever had with someone else.

Oh, my goodness, from what all I've said to him I wouldn't be surprised if he just totally and completely thought I am the weirdest person in the world, why can't I just keep my big mouth shut, I've finally made a friend and I'm fixing to talk my way out of this friendship and I really don't want to do that,thought Anna.

"Thanks, for that compliment," she replied to what he said about if she wasn't here he wouldn't know what to do about his essay, or that is what it sounded like at least. "Alright let's get started, and of course write very big," she said and she started looking up things in the book Professor Sprout had given her.

"Oh well, Your very weird working mind might have just saved me from a failing grade." He copied down another sentence and frowned. To him that didn't sound quite right. "No offence meant, sorry about that." He said this while grimacing. Instead of finishing the sentence he was finishing, he crossed it out messily, and smiled at what he had so far. "Okay, now what should we do about this now?" Isaac looked around at the other students in the study and yawning

She smiled at his compliment.

"Maybe we could give up for the night, and start back on this tomorrow,"
Anna said.

She too, like everyone else was very tired, and she wanted to go to bed.
