Well, Tempe thought,why did she just walk out, just because she doesn't like me, doesn't mean she had to be that way to the rest of the group.
The girl turned around when she heard Tempe ask why she left, oh dear, and she walked toward Tempe, sat down and asked if Tempe said something.
"Yes, I did, I was just asking the group if they understood why exactly you decided to unexpectedly leave the group, is it because you don't like me or something?" Tempe didn't mean to sound rude but today wasn't her best of days.

"Actually yes. But, unlike you, I didn't see the point in being rude by saying so," Rachel said, narrowing her eyes. There was nothing she hated more than people standing up to her.
Then, deciding it was time to back off, because she didn't particularly feel like going in a full fledged fight in the Student Lounge, she flicked her hair impatiently. Tempe could repay the favour later.
"I'm sorry, that wasn't a terribly nice thing to say. Let's start again. Hi, I'm Rachel!" She said, sticking out her hand for a handshake, her eyes in a silent challenge.

Oh, dear, this wasn't going to be pretty, Anna thought.
"Tempe, back off, and just be nice," Anna said loud enough only for Tempe to hear, she did not want to be involved in a fight, and Tempe would get involved in one if someone was rude to her, and it being the 23rd it was an even better chance that Tempe would start one.

Rachel smiled smugly as Anna seemed to be restraining Tempe. Sereves her right for being rude to me, she thought happily. She really disliked it when people were rude to her, and had no problem starting a fight. But today she couldn't be bothered. She knew she'd win.
Crossing her arms, Rachel smiled at Tempe, and then to the rest of the group.
"So, you guys, got any plans for the rest of the day?"

"I can handle myself thanks," Tempe whispered back to Anna, and she was not going to let this girl win. Tempe did not allow younger students be rude to her, but anyway she said," Anna and I were thinking about going to Hogsmeade, anyone care to join us?"
That was true, they both had last minute Christmas shopping to do. She waited for everyone's reply.

"Ooh, I would love to come!" Rachel said, smiling sweetly. Who did this girl think she was? She stood and looked at the rest of the group.
"Let's all go - it'll be fun," she said, looking Tempe straight in the eye and smirking.

Tempe had suggested that everyone go to Hogsmeade to go shopping, Rachel readily agreed and Anna did really want to go.
Anna wasn't to happy when Rachel said that Tempe was being rude, even if Tempe was she didn't mean to, Anna knew good and well that Tempe hated it when younger students thought they had the authority over her, and Rachel obviously thought she did.
Well we're just going to have to get along and have fun at Hogsmeade. Anyways it was a great way to become friends, maybe if Rachel realized how bad Tempe's life was and that Hogwarts was the only place she had friends since she lived with her grandfather.
Let's just hope this goes well, thought Anna.

"Alright, then it's settled let's all go to Hogsmeade!" Tempe said enthusiastically.
