Alarice hadnt understood quite what was going on at first when she entered the compartment, but now she seemed to have gotton the jist of it. Rosaliz, whom Alarice didnt know to well, was being bullied by some stupid Slytherin named Monica, and had been trying to get away, but she had just found her. Alarice glared at Monica from her place inside the compartment, as the rest of the kids stood up to defend Rosaliz. She watched as Maryn stood up as well and pointed her wand at the girl. Al could tell by the sound of Maryn's voice that she was very upset, so immediately, she stood up as well, joining the rest, by her friends side and pointed her wand at Monica, even though she really didnt know much about the situation. But Alarice was very protective of her friends, even though she knew that most of the time they didnt need protecting. Her friends were all just as strong as she was. However, Monica looked quite threatening, without even including the murderous look on her face.

Rosaliz gulped. She was certainly afraid of Monica but none the less it wasn't somethibng new. She was quit happy that everybody was going to help and defend her and keep her safe. But she was sure it wasn't enough. For what nobdy eles knew Monica was strong enough to take everybody down. How did she know? Once when she was with her parents MOnica threw a spell at her mother making her stay two weeks at saint mungos for treatment and the worse part was that her moither was an Auror. ANd if she could get past a great top line Auror than she can pass threw anybody throwing them into a million peices!! Rosaliz held her wand tightly. SHe was shaking in fear almost not having the force to have any words come out of her mind. She stood there hoping for the best and that she'd be able to escap this duel by a bit of luck like no other.

Maryn couldn't help but let out a strict weak smile as her friends backed her up. All together, they were more powerful that Monica. that was because they wanted it more. They wanted to rid the world of evil and stop just little mean acts more than Monica did. Actually, in Maryn's mind Monica didn't want it at all as she was a bully. Monica wanted the very thing Maryn and her friends hated, but they were willing to fight to keep Rosaliz safe. Maryn had met Flo and Rosaliz at the beach. She loved spending time with them ever since and would stand up to a Slytherin just for them. No one should have to face the fear Monica brought. Maryn was tired of letting Slytherin boss around younger students. She was tired of taking it in and now was the prefect chance to prove this.
However, Maryn was smarter than a Slytherin. She was patient. If she wanted to bring down Monica, she would have to to do it slyly. Maryn's wand was still pointing at her as she gave a mean like stare. "Look here. wait how many against one?" She said sarcastically still angered by everything Monica represented. "Go for it Monica, hurt me." She said suddenly not realizing what she was saying. "But, if you lay a single finger on Rosaliz, it will be gone before you walk away." Maryn was doing this for Rosaliz, but maybe it was more than that. She was going to be smart about and it do nothing unnecessary. Maryn stared at Monica with a pounding heart waiting for her to say something.
