Going Home! (anyone)

Danielle woke up feeling unusually happy. When she looked at her calender she remembered why, she was going home today!! Not her real home though just the one in London. She jumped out of bed and took a shower. After pulling her hair back into a ponytail she tried to figure out where her shoes were. After looking all over the room she found them under her bed. She then took her uniforms and put them in her trunk, not caring if they got wrinkled. Getting school things she remembered Kitty. She hadn't seen her in days! "Kitty! Kitty!" Hearing a quiet "mew" she followed it to the source sitting in her dresser was Kitty. Putting the last things in her trunk she went to the Great Hall for breakfast. Toast, oatmeal and orange juice. After running up to the dorm room to get her trunk she made her way to the train taking a little carriage that for some reason didn't have anything pulling it. Shrugging it of she sat back and relaxed. A couple minutes later it stopped. Getting out she looked around at all of the people.

She made her way toward the middle. Not super close to the Professors, and not near the really mean kids.Finally getting on the train after getting pushed around by older students she looked for an empty compartment. Finding one she went inside and put her trunk up. Sitting down she pulled out a book she'd brought. Mikayla was supposed to come to her house for Christmas Break. It was good she was coming too. If she didn't come she'd have no one to chat with. And her brother would torture her. She continued to read waiting for her to come.

Mikayla woke up anxious to go to her dear friend Danielle's house. As she rose out of bed she looked at the clock on the wall. 8:00 the latest she has slept here a Hogwarts. She got up out of bed and hopped in the shower. When she got out she didn't know what to do first. She decided to pick her clothes out for the train ride to Danielle's house. She picked a light pink t-shirt, and a dark purple over sweater and pants to match.

Then she pulled her hair up into a cute little side pony-tail and brushed her bangs down. Then she slipped on her light pink flats. Mikayla then started packing the things she would need. "Now.." Mikayla started. "Wheres the cat.." Mikayla said looking around the room. "There you are!" She said picking up her cat Suspicious. "Wow, have you lost weight or what?" Mikayla said shocked and kind of sad to feel her obese cat had lost weight. Suspicious had always been chubby so Mikayla was some what upset to feel her chubby little baby had lost weight. She then got Suspicious's princess carrier and placed her in it. See her carrier was neat because whenever she ran out of food or water it magically filled the bowls back up. And whenever Suspicious had an accident the waste would magically disappear.

She packed up the rest of her necessities and headed down the the stairs to the train. When Mikayla reached the train and climbed aboard she immediately spotted Danielle looking out the window. She was most likely looking for her. Mikayla rushed to get to her seat in the middle of the train. "Hey Danielle..." She said merrily. "Thank you again for letting me bring Suspicious to your house with me. Mikayla put up her suitcases and sat down in the seat next to Danielle with Suspicious in her carrier next to her. "I'm so excited!" Mikayla said to Danielle.

Danielle had been looking out the window waiting for Mikayla. Then she was there with her cat and her suitcase. "Hey, Mikayla! Is that Suspicious? I thought you said that your cat was fat? Wait a second." she got down and looked under the seat Kitty was there curled in a ball. Reaching under the seat Danielle grabbed Kitty and pulled her out. Sitting Kitty on the seat she got up and sat down waiting for Mikayla to speak.

"Yep, thats Suspicious." "Well, she usually is fat but this morning when I was getting her ready I picked her up and noticed that she had lost a little weight." "It surprised me alot to tell you the truth I thought some one had switched cats with me!" Mikayla said laughing. "Ahhhh, theres the cutest little "Kitty" ever!" Mikayla said to making a baby voice gesturing toward Kitty.

"How have you been?" Mikayla said to Kitty. "Hey, Danielle do you have any other pets at your house?" "What are your parents like?" "Sorry, for all the questions I'm very curious and anxious though you know?" And I just want to make a good impression since I'll be staying with you and your family a while." "Hey, I think I have asked you this before but don't you have a brother at Hogwarts? Mikayla asked alot of questions when she got excited or nervous. "When do you think the other people will start coming on the train? Mikayla asked kind impatiently.

"I can't wait till everyone starts getting on the train it will be so much fun I just hope we don't get uninvited visitors." Mikayla said whispereing. "Like Death Eaters." "They have attacked the train before." My friend Maryn was on the train one time when that happened." "She got some cuts but nothing serious." She was sitting in the back of the train where thay attacked so she was lucky thats kind of why I wanted to sit back there because The Death Eaters probably wont strike the smae place twice..." Mikayla said still whispereing she didn't want anyone to hear her.

"Haven't you asked me that? Oh well we have a puppy, my brother's owl, my hamster Charcoal and Kitty." Danielle said. She sat in silence for a while trying to think of words that would describe her parents. "Hmmm... that's a hard question. Well they're nice, good cooks ,well my mom is anyway, and really, really overprotective. They're always bugging me too. Where were you? Who were you with? It's past your curfew. Go to your room. You're grounded. Blah, blah blah. But I normally tune them out unless it's something important." Staring out the window Danielle almost didn't hear what Mikayla had said. "Huh? Oh I dunno soon I hope." she commented and went back to looking out the window.

When Mikayla talked again Danielle had to lean forward to hear her.' Like Death Eaters.' A shiver went through her body and she shuddered. "Why are we whispering?" she asked quietly. Raising her voice to a normal level she said something. "Because if you're whispering because someone might here us talking about them I really don't get why. I mean it's not bad to talk about them see watch." Clearing her throat she prepared to shout. Not really loud just loud enough so people outside of the compartment could hear them. "Yeah," Danielle said as if she was having a conversation "those Death Eaters sure are mean." After a few minutes had passed she laughed. "See nothing bad happened."

"Don't do that!" Mikayla said loudly. "Oh, man." "I heard that you might get in to trouble if you talk about them because if someone heres you talking about them they might think you are one of them and are just trying to see what other people think of them or something..." Mikayla said concerned. "I just don't want to get in to any trouble here at Hogwarts... Because this is the best thing that has ever happended to me.

Mikayla looked down thoughtfully. "Oh, well I guess thats silly anyway... I don't even remember who I heard that from." Though Mikala secretly did. "Is something the matter?" Mikayla asked Danielle. "You keep staring out the window you seem sad or something." "Mikayla yawned. "Sorry, I didn't get any sleep last night as usual." "I'm glad I brought my squishy pillow." "That way I can just sit back relax and wait to get this show in the road..."

Mikayla said smiling and giggling. She was so anxious to see who all would sit in the middle along side them. She really hoped that some cute guys would sit close to them so that she might could actually talke to them. Mikayla pictured Mitch sitting by them talking to them. "That would be AWESOME!" Mikayla said not relizing she had said that aloud. "Whoops... Sorry about that I was thinking about something."

"I'm not sad just happy. Plus I'm looking for my brother so I can embarrass him." she imagined herself doing so and laughed. "Hey do you think any cute boys will sit here? Well not exactly but maybe next to us or behind us! That would be soooo cool wouldn't it? And then they might talk to us!" she was hysterical now. Almost shrieking with excitement. She took a few breaths and calmed herself down. "O.K." she said. " Just be calm and act mature."

"Thats weird..." Mikayla said regarding the hot guys comment. Mikayla said with and "I can't believe you just said that" type look on her face. "I was just thinking that exact same thing like a couple minutes ago. Mikayla started looking around to see who else was sitting in the middle section of the express. "Look, there are some other people my friend Maryn and her friends, and there also are a couple guys sitting with them Leon and some one else." Mikayla exclaimed. "This is so exciting."

"I hope no Death Eaters come on." "I don't think I could handle that kind of malicious attack." "But you know some of the Slytherins here at Hogwarts are Death Eaters." Mikayla lowered her voice down to a mere whisper. "They could be hearing us right now..." Mikayla said with a serious face. Mikayla had taken to heart what she had discussed foe even a brief moment with Dana Coran. "I've her some suspicions that the Death Eaters are going to be going for the Express again. She really didn't know to believe them or not. Only time could tell.

"How could the some of the Slytherins be Death Eaters?" Danielle asked raising her eyebrow. " They aren't even adults yet! What would Voldemort use them for? Well I guess to spy on Dumbledore or something like that." she stopped and thought for awhile. "Oh well I don't really care either way. As long as they don't bother me, I'll be fine."

"You cannot be seriously asking that question.." Mikayla replied astonishingly. "Voldemort probably uses them to spy on Dumbledore, Harry and anyone else he feels threatens him. "Thats probably how Voldemort gets tipped off, you know by the Death Eaters." Mikayla said whispering when she got the word Death Eaters and Voldemort. Mikayla looked around them concerned that for some reason someone was going to walk up to them and kick them out of Hogwarts.

"I might have already asked you this before" Mikayla began. "Didn't you hear about the last attack on the Express?" Mikayla said. Even if she had asked Danielle this before she was asking again. Mikayla's eyes started tearing remembering what she had said to Dana Coran not realizing what she had done. When Danielle said the comment about as long as the Death Eaters don't hurt her, Mikayla felt sad for the people it did hurt. One little tear trickled down her cheek. "Maybe we should get off the subject. Mikayla said longingly thinking about that night she had talked with Dana."We need to be happy and ready to go and not hung up on whether the Death Eaters attack the Express. Mikayla finally said aloud in her regular voice. She wiped the tear from her cheek and smiled trying once again to stay positive. Mikayla took out Suspicious and held her tightly in her hands so that she wouldn't get away and disturb anyone, while stroking her fur.

"Eh, probably right. But you'd think that he wouldn't feel threatened at all. Especially if he's sooo powerful." she rolled her eyes and laughed, she really didn't know why everyone was so scared of him. It wasn't like he couldn't be killed. "No you didn't ask me and yes I heard about it. Horrible really. But I guess we should talk about other things. It's such a dreary subject we should talk about good things. Like... oh wait a second! Are you muggleborn? I am it's wonderful for me. If I had been raised with magic being used all around me none of this would be new. And then I'd have nothing to explore! It would've been absolutly horrible!" Standing up she got her trunk down and rummaged through it.

After five minutes of looking she finally found her book and pillow. Stuffing everything back in she put it up. "Jeezey Petes that thing is heavy!" she exclaimed and sat down. She put her pillow against the wall and leaned against it. Opening up to her bookmark she began to read again, still waiting for Mikayla to say something.

"No, I'm not a muggle born." Mikayla said politely. "But I was raised with so many muggle friends." "Just so you know I have absolutely nothing wrong with muggle borns." "I hate to people who use that awful term you know what bloods." Mikayla felt herself turn red at the thought of someone saying that. She thought that was the most evil thing you could just say to a person.

"My parents I'm pure-blooded." Mikayla said looking at Danielle as she read. Mikayla couldn't see the title of the book at the angle she was holding it. "Whats that your reading?" Mikayla said leaving that subject in the dust. "Hey, thats a good idea." Mikayla reached up into her stuff grabbed her squishy pillow and leaned it against the seat. Then she also grabbed her cd player that she hadn't used once at Hogwarts, and her cd case. Mikayla loved rock music and quickly put in her Fall Out Boy cd in and turned it to the song "Dance, Dance" Mikayla looked over at Danielle waiting for a response.

"Edgar Allen Poe. Have you ever read any of his murder storys? They are so good. But this only has a few stories in it." she said. She watched as Mikayla pulled out a squishy pillow and a CD player. "I have some of those at my house. Do you think that your parents will send you presents? Because if they don't you can have some of mine. I know I'll have alot anyway. Hey at your house what does your room look like? Mine has lavender colored walls, a wood flooring which gets really cold in the winter so I hope you have slippers, two beds, a T.V. and alarm clock, a computer and desk, um and a couple bedside table things. You know like in hotels they have those things that you put your phone on? Those and that's about it." she smiled to show she was finished talking. Then she went back to reading.

"I think I have heard of him but I'm not sure..." Mikayla said searching her mind of anytime she might have heard that name it sounded so oddly familiar to her. "Yeah, I can call my dad's assistant and tell her what to get me for Christmas and tell her where to send it. Mikayla whipped out her cell phone from the pocket on her pants. She flipped it open and dialed the number 1-251-988-1345. The phone was ringing she didn't get answer her dad's assistant was usually very busy keeping his agenda in order. "Hey, this is Mikayla call my cell when you get this message its about my Christmas presents." Mikayla turned off the phone and placed it back in her pocket.

Mikayla looked back down at her cd player. She pressed play and she started to jam out to her music. She pressed pause to listen to Danielle's question. "My room is located in the west wing of my house, my walls are white, and I have a bright purple bed spread and a huge painting of a flower on one of my walls. The flower vines go over the top outer sides of my closet and the I have beads hanging down from the top of my closet because there isn't a door and I like the beads better. Mikayla said kind of bummed sounding. Her room made her feel depressed. Mikayla laughed at Danielle's comment about what she said I hoped I packed. Mikayla turned her cd player back on and continued to rock out.

"You've got a cell phone? I had one too once. But my brother stole it from me and then someone stole it from him." Danielle said. She listend to he describe her room. "Wow! The west wing of your house? That's a t.v. show too. Anyway my house doesn't have a 'west wing'. We have upstairs, downstairs, basment and the attic. The attic is really cold though so we never go up there." After she was done talking Danielle moved her pillow. Laying down she tried to sleep.

Mikayla moved her mouth about to reply and then she saw Danielle trying to go to sleep. Mikayla changed her mined and turned laid her pillow on the side of her seat where you can look out and watch people getting in or talking. She turned on her head set and cd player and put in her "The Used" cd. She calmed down relaxed and listened to the music, and watched all the busy moving people out in the isles of the train or the people who were sitting across from her. She saw Maryn she was sitting by some of her friends in the middle section of the train like Danielle and herself were.

Mikayla smiled and looked away and she continued listening quietly to her music so that she wouldn't awake her friend. Mikayla started singing the song she was listening to in her head, she bobbed her head and tapped her foot quietly to the guitar pats in the song.

Danielle finally fell asleep. But woke up soon after. Nightmares. That's what she had had. She sat up straight and looked around. Mikayla was listening to music. She didn't know what but it must've been good. O.K. sleeping is not an option. Kitty's asleep, and Mikayla's listening to music. I might as well start to read again. With a heavy sigh she leaned against the wall again, picked up her book and started to read. After a couple minutes of that she got bored so she decided to play with Kitty who had just woken up. Taking one of her shoelaces she dangled it in front of her face. Kitty swiped at it and snatched it away from her. Luckily Danielle was able to grb her before she got away. Retriving her shoelace she relaced her shoe. Kitty layed in her lap purring as she petted her.

Mikayla was jamming out then she heard a sigh coming from where Danielle was. She took off her headphones and looked over and saw Danielle she was awake. Mikayla's first thought was that she had waken her up. "Did I wake you?" Mikayla asked with a I didn't mean to if I did type look on her face. Mikayla looked at Danielle she was now playing with Kitty. Kitty was so cute. Mikayla sat up and took Suspicious out of her cage. "Do you think they will get along?" Mikayla asked Danielle curiously as Danielle was dangling her shoe laces above Kitty.

Mikayla got up to stretch and peek out and see what other people were up to. She looked to the back of the train and saw only a couple people. Mikayla felt an odd chill down the back of her neck. She shivered a little and reached into one of her bags and go out her Blue Ravenclaw hoody she had her Dad get for her. She took it out and put it on. She took her braids out to get more comfortable and then she laid down on her seat. Mikayla situated her pillow and watched as Suspicious slowly walked toward Kitty watching Danielle's shoe- string. Mikayla looked over at Danielle and waited for her to start up a conversation.

"They will." Danielle said watching Mikayla let her cat out. " Kitty gets along with anyone or anything." She picked Kitty up and sat her on the floor. Watching as she sniffed Suspicous. Leaning back in hher seat she opened her book. After a few minutes she got bored. Not looking up from her book she spoke. "When do you think the train will leave? I'm getting bored. And hungry. Mostly bored though." Setting her book down she began to bite her nails. She always did that when she was bored. Getting down to far she pulled out a pen. Pulling off the cap she doodled on her hand. First drawing a pumpkin, then a Christmas tree. Just as she finished drawing the tree the tain started off. "Finally." Danielle said. "Now we can get home!"

"Yay!" Mikayla said excited that the train was starting to move. She watched observantly as her Suspicious was playing with Kitty she was amazed at how they were getting along so well its like they already new each other. Mikayla saw Danielle doodling. "Hey do you want to me to get my cards?" Mikayla offered sweetly. "We can play go fish or something." Mikayla laughed. Remembering one of her memories that her and Maryn had shared when they were young. They used to gamble their candy playing different card games. "Mikayla looked up in her bag and grabbed the deck of cards.

Mikayla sat up and scooted up in her seat. She was excited to play. This brought back a lot of memories. Memories of her not too good childhood and good memories of having some one there for her. Mikayla got that curious look on her face again. "Hey, Danielle.." Mikayla questioned. "How did you find out you were a witch..?" "Did you know before you got your letter or after?"
