Victoria sat on a strong, mahogany chair, she had her hands on her lap and had her legs crossed. She wore a silver dress with silver shoes with crystals stuck onto the strap. The dress went around her perfectly and was held up by a string of beautiful crystals that were tightly around her neck. Her make-up had been planned and practiced a week before so no part was not perfectly applied or wrong. Her hair was fluffed, dyed, feathered and much fuller than usual and had a real diamond clip right at the top.
She sat alone and stared at the people around her. She sipped her drink as she examined the younger students laugh at terrible and humorless jokes and danced as if they had not two left feet but as if they had no feet at all. She chuckled at the boys in the crowd who desperately tried to impress the girls and only succeeded in looking like total fools and the girls giggled and there faces went so red that they could have easily exploded. The teachers surrounded the place, looking like guards to what was advertised as a good place to be. The Slytherins seemed to be having a good time and to her complete and utter surprise, they seemed to mingling with some other disgusting Gryffindors, Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs.
Victoria sneered as revolting Mudbloods mixed with Purebloods, her father had been right telling her that the only way to go was to keep a far deal away from them. If her father had found out that Mudbloods were even in the same place as Purebloods, he would have marched right up here and told the Headmaster himself how Mudbloods should be treated. As if "treated" was even the right word, she turned away swiftly so she wouldn't accidentally have eye-contact with one of them. She saw that some interesting people had shown up but she was just to bothered to get up and talk to them. If they had any sense whatsoever they could easily come up to her and chat. Victoria looked down at her drink and sighed. She had finished it and without any guilt, she picked up the drink that a girl had left there before she went to see some of her friends.
Victoria nearly choked on her drink as she saw what some people were wearing. Are they even clothes? she asked herself as the girl pranced about with her boyfriend. "She looks like she should be something we study in Defense against the Dark Arts," she said, amusing herself. The boy wasn't that much better as he looked as if he was a troll in disguise. What are you two thinking? she wondered as they danced together. As she thought nothing would humor her more she noticed the people in costume. Before she could help herself, she burst out laughing at the people trying to dress up as ballerinas, great wizards and fairies. She finally stopped laughing, not caring that she had made the people feel uncomfortable, she didn't expect them to know she was laughing at them but she didn't really care otherwise.
She placed her hand in front of her face as she coughed. She shook her blonde, long hair and turned her head each way. I hope someone I know will turn up? she thought as she shifted her diamond necklace.

Dominic pulled on his dress robes. He wasn't a fan of balls, but he knew his brother would be there somewhere. They could at least confuse some people by switching places again. He smoothed down his black dress ropes and ran a hand through his shaggy drown hair. Dominic sighed and grabbed his wand from the side table near his bed. He placed the wand in his pocket and headed out the door of his dorm room. It seemed Dominic was late. Stepping into the common room he saw that everyone was gone. Not a single person stood in the common room. He rolled his cold blue eyes. He should have known that everyone would already be there, after all, most of the girl's had been talking about it with excitement for a month, while the guys were annoyed. Dominic shook his head and walked out the door of the common room and into the dungeon. He loved the dark and the darkness of the dungeon made him feel comfortable. Walking through the dungeon corridors slowly he took a deep breath of musty air. He hated dances and this was going to be the worst of all. His brother had better be there.
Leaving the dungeon behind him, Dominic looked across at the Great Hall. Wonderful, he thought to himself. He braced himself for the horrible feeling of the ball and walked inside. The noise was the first thing to get to him. It was loud. The music was blasting and students were screaming and laughing. He looked at the other students with hatred. How could they enjoy such a terrible thing. His eyes landed on the students dancing and he rolled his eyes. It wasn't until he looked closer that he noticed that one of them was his brother. He was about to storm over to Damien and ask what he was doing when someone ran into him. "Watch it!" Dominic exclaimed as he turned around. The girl was only two years younger than him and he recognized her as a Slytherin. "Sorry," came her reply as she headed out of the hall and toward the dungeons. Dominic shrugged to himself. The girl was obviously a loser. He turned back to the dance and tried to find where his brother had gotten, but he couldn't find him.
Dominic walked toward one of the tables. He was just going to sit down and wait for his brother to find him. He wasn't about to go near that dance floor in case some girl found him and made him dance. He looked up at the tables, most were empty and so he was headed for an empty table when he saw a Slytherin girl he recognized. He had never met her, but she was a year younger than him. Instead of heading to an empty table he turned and headed for the table the girl was sitting at. She seemed to be laughing about something and Dominic followed her gaze to the dance floor. He smiled to himself. Some of the costumes were horrible and not to mention idiotic. He sat down next to the girl and smiled. "My name is Dominic Oswald, yours?" he asked as he extended a hand to her.

Victoria giggled as she saw the Slytherin push the annoying forth year away, she had done nothing but annoy her all last year. She was pleased as the sat next to her and politely introduced himself. "I'm Victoria Bailey, pleasure I'm sure," she whispered, leaning to her left and saying it to him in his ear. She looked back at the girl, who was glaring at them, Victoria gave her a look that made the girl cross to the other side of the room.
"I'm only guessing, but by your lateness to this horrific ball I will be assuming you are not that all into this Halloween ball," she said, finishing her drink and circling the rim of the glass. A boy, chasing his girlfriend around playfully were running close to the table Victoria and Dominic were sitting at and as the couple passed, Victoria pushed out her leg, making the girl and boy topple over. "Hey, get off the bloody floor and off my legs!" she yelled as if they had purposely fallen over. "I said move and if you don't in five seconds, you can stay at my feet as a foot rest!" she added in a mockingly sweet voice.
Within three seconds the boy and girl had gotten up and ran off, seemingly trying not to show that they were scared of her. "So, Dominic, what do you think we should do?" she asked, turning her head to him and examining him more carefully. Without another beat of the fast song, it changed into a slow, delicate song. She looked at the band where a young, Portuguese lady was singing beautifully. "Shall we dance?" she said, standing up and stretching to her full height. She glanced back at him and bent over him and gently hushed into his hear, "that wasn't a request," she said with a hint of a threat.

Dominic looked at the girl with interest. He smiled as she introduced herself. She was obviously into him. He looked over at her as she leaned back and looked out at the dance floor. He wondered if she was like most girls, wanting to dance at the stupid balls. "Who really is into these kind of balls. Especially with all the filth hanging around. I prefer to sit around and watch as they make fools of themselves. Not many people know what they are doing and I'm sure they don't. Filthy mudbloods," Dominic whispered to her. Dominic turned back to look out at the dance floor when a couple ran close by and within seconds they were on the ground in front of them. He looked over at Victoria who screamed out at them. They obviously had no idea who they had just fallen on. Dominic raised an eye brow as he looked back at Victoria. He was pretty sure she had stuck her leg out for them on purpose. He looked at the two as they quickly stood and apologized before running off. "Smooth," Dominic said quietly as he looked back at Victoria. The couple hadn't even realized that Victoria had tripped them. The girl was rather posed. He was sure that she was graceful as well.
Dominic's attention turned to the dance floor as he saw his brother who was dancing around with some girl. He wanted to throw something at him, but couldn't think of anything to do. He smiled as he pulled out his wand carefully and said a small spell to himself. Within seconds Dominic watched as his brother fell over. Damien looked down at his shoes and the laces were tied together. Dominic laughed to himself. He loved that spell. His brother and him had been doing it to each other since they learned it. When they were walking down the hallway together one of them would say the spell quietly and the other would fall down laughing because they knew. Dominic met his brother's eyes and they laughed together. Dominic shrugged and let his brother continue on his boring dance around the hall.
Dominic's attention turned back to Victoria as she asked what they were going to do. He knew exactly where this conversation was going, but before he could respond she was already standing and asking him to dance. It wasn't that he didn't want to dance, it was that he was horrible at it. Well, he thought so. He sighed as he stood. He knew he couldn't convince her otherwise. "It would be a pleasure," he said as he stood. Holding out a hand for her to take as he escorted her to the dance floor. In his head he kept repeating to himself the steps in dancing. He wouldn't have done it for anyone on a normal basis, but Victoria seemed to be someone that he could enjoy himself with. His blue eyes stared down into hers as he waited for her to take his hand.

((Sorry, It's so short but I couldn't god-mode so I didn't have too much to write))
Victoria smiled as he pleasantly obliged, she then was escorted onto the dance floor. The mood of the song got lower and with a look she was famous for, many younger students fled from the dance floor. She took his hand and started the dance. He lead beautifully and seemed to know the dance very well. She grinned and held herself closer to him as they danced.
The Halloween ball seemed to be coming to an end but no one seemed to be leaving, most were actually looking at her. She didn't want to displease her crowd so she spun around with Dominic elegantly and stunningly. She held his hand tighter as she trotted around. She moved closer so that their cheeks were nearly touching. "I am very impressed Dominic, I thought all good dancers went to other schools, I'm pleased you didn't mess up," she whispered gently into his ear.

((don't worry about god-moding right now. I'm fine with it, after all, the posts won't be long if we keep worrying about it.))
Dominic smiled when Victoria took his hand and he led her gracefully to the dance floor. She was beautiful and Dominic couldn't help but laugh to himself when he saw the younger students scatter. They both had their reputations. He was known for how evil he was and Victoria was probably the same way. He wasn't really sure. Even though they were in the same house he had never spoke to her. That's how things were with a lot of the people within his house. They just never got along. Dominic, however, was an outcast. That was thanks to his parents. Dominic pushed the thought to the back of his mind. He didn't need to be thinking about them right now. Not when he was trying to enjoy himself. As hard as it was at this so called dance.
Reaching the dance floor, Victoria started the dance. Dominic liked how forceful she was. Most girls would have let him start the dance and pace, but Victoria seemed to have a mind of her own. He followed her pace, but before long he was leading. It was a dance he knew. One that he was taught many years ago, by his foster parents. They had taught him mainly for the Yule Ball his 3rd year at Hogwarts, when he had been asked to the dance by an older girl. It had been quite interesting, though, it wasn't his cup of tea. As the dance continued Victoria had gotten closer. His arms that had started out on her waist and hand had now progressed to holding her tight around her back.
It seemed the dance was nearly at an end and Dominic let go of Victoria slowly as he did she spun out from him elegantly and gracefully. As she came back around she came in close to him. He could feel her breath upon his ear and the warmth of her cheek against his. She whispered in his ear once again. "I could say the same thing about you. Learning to dance is one of the easier things in life," Dominic whispered back. He didn't know why he said it. It was just on the spur of the moment. He stepped back from her and held out his hand for her to take. He would escort her back to the table if she wanted or perhaps they could go for a walk. Either way it did not matter to him.

Victoria was dancing with Dominic gracefully when she saw that the dance floor was completely empty, she grinned to herself while resting her head on his shoulder. She suddenly broke away from him and began to swivel her hips lightly and then spiralled back and grabbed his hands. She swayed them both and became impatient when he did not take a strong lead. She then began to force his gently to move, a real dancer would lead the lady around the floor and within no time, he was leading beautifully.
She galloped marvellously across the floor, having not a care in the world and as the music got faster their dancing got better. Before long, he was spinning her rapidly and they were gliding across the floor. After their final twirl she shot her right arm into the air and looked straight up at the ceiling. She smiled weakly and let go of her burly pose. She turned and looked at her partner who had possessed a lovely and charming smile. He obviously did not know how much he commanded her in the performance. She held his hand as he, like a proper Slytherin gentleman; lead her off the dance floor.
“I feel you cannot learn a dance, you feel a dance. If you don’t feel it then it’s rather like two boring people walking around the floor like a pair of idiots,” she answered. “And don’t worry about a thing, I’ve seen everyone dance and we were the best by far!” she added, scowling at the dancers she was seen dance before. She giggled as many people resided back to the dance floor as the two of them left. The suggestion of going for a walk or staying by the table, lighten her eyes up.
“I’d love to, I suggest taking a walk, anymore time in here and I may faint of the heat,” she replied, grabbing her shawl and holding it around her. She tightened her grip on his hand and led him out of the Great Hall. She nodded at many of her friends who were applauding in congratulations of their dance. She curled her way out of the door and then glanced back to see him staring outside.
“Maybe, as we are both very obviously tired and it’s getting quite late, we should just reside to the common room for the time being, maybe a walk tomorrow would suit us better,” she suggested and with that she pressed her lips against his cheek. She smiled when he turned to her and whisked herself off into the main part of the castle.
((I really like posting with these two, it's great, If you like we can start another post off when they go for a walk?))

Dominic smiled as he lead Victoria off the dance floor. He snickered when the other students who had avoided them slowly went back to the dance floor. They were obviously frightened of them. He just wished he knew which one was more frightening. He walked with great posture as he led them toward the table, but stopped as she started to answer his question about what to do next. He turned to look at her and the gleam in her eyes was so brilliant and beautiful. He had never really realized just how beautiful Victoria was. He pushed the thought to the back of his mind so he could pay attention to what she was saying about taking a walk. She made a comment about being hot and Dominic nodded. It was quite warm in the Great Hall at that moment. She grabbed her shawl and as they started out the hall, her hand squeezed his tighter. It was almost like she didn't want to let him go. He smiled to himself. It was quite interesting.
Dominic turned to head for the doors leading to the grounds of Hogwarts, but he noticed that Victoria was not going in that direction. He looked at her with questioning eyes and then looked back at the front doors. At her reasoning he nodded. He was quite tired himself, but at the same time he really did want to walk around with her, especially since they could be alone, but he shrugged. Tomorrow would be just as good as it was tonight. Maybe he could find out a little bit more about who she was. He could find out her views and what she believes in. Which would be much better than just continuing on without knowing anything about her. Dominic nodded at Victoria as she continued to pull him toward the dungeon. Before they reached it, she turned abruptly and planted a kiss on his cheek. He took a step back and looked at her before he was suddenly pulled through the dungeon. She was rather commanding...
((Another post would be spectacular, just let me know.))
