Blake walked to platform 9 then three pillars more. "I have to find out how this words sometimes. His mom right him in then followed right behind him. The platform was full of other students and there parents. Blake walked up to the train he wanted to get on before all the empty cars were full. He turned to him mom and gave her a hug. "Tell dad and Grandma I said goodbye, also I'll write when I get a chance." His mom just laughed and told him to get on and to be good. Blake looked over as he was on the train. "I always am." He said laughing as he fully got on the train before he lost sight of her he could see her laughing. Blake started walking down the train starting to see familiar faces.
After waving and greeting a few people he hadn't seen since school he found an empty car in the back. He was happy to find one he was getting sick of pulling his trunk around. He opened the door and then closed it behind him. Laying his trunk down by the window so it was right under it He sat down with his legs on the chair back against the wall of the train. "Finally back to school, that had to be one of the most boring summers ever." He said thinking back and it was true besides some very fun times it was pretty boring. The train was still at the platform and he could hear the other students still outside. He opened his trunk and pulled out a new book he got on protective and other types of spells. He opened it to the middle which was where he left off and started to read some of the other spells he couldn't wait to start to really learn them in school.

Talan had his hands full as he pushed through the wall between platforms 9 and 10. Instantly, he was surrounded by a crowd of excited students ready to start the new year. The atmosphere was ambivalent as students were happy, yet sad at the same time to leave their loved ones behind. Alone however, Talan had already said his good-byes before leaving the house. His parents disliked the crowded nature of the platform.
Boarding the Hogwarts Express, Talan hauled his trunk down the corridor of the train. There were still many empty compartments, as he was early, but he didn't really feel like sitting alone. He loved company, so he kept glancing in each compartment in search of somebody to sit with. Soon, he found a place where another Gryffindor boy was sitting. Talan recognized the boy as a fifth year. He opened the compartment door and backed in, dragging all of his belongings. After putting his things overhead, he turned around and looked at the boy. "Hi, I'm Talan," he said as he offered his hand to the boy. "I recognized you as a Gryffindor and I assumed you would make good company." Talan smiled, waiting for the boy to introduce himself. He hoped that the compartment wasn't saved for anybody else, but decided he would leave if the boy didn't want him there.

Blake was reading about another spell that made a shield to protect the caster. "Man there is a lot of these spells." He said thinking out loud. Blake then looked up then the door opened He had expected his worst nightmare or something but it was just another Gryffindor. Blake had seen him around the common room but never talked to him before. The other boy walked in and put his stuff in the overhead, as he did this Blake put his book back in his trunk. Then he turned to him and introduced himself. He grabbed his hand and shoke it. " Hi, I'm Blake and yes another Gryffindor would make better company then some snobby Slytherin." He said laughing.
"Why don't you have a seat." He said with a smile. The train still hadn't moved but it must be getting a little more full up front because more people were coming to the back. Blake looked back over at Talan. "So how was your summer?" He said trying to start some kind of a conversation .

Talan laughed at the comment about Slytherin. Blake was right though. Being with a Slytherin was not fun, as they were mostly all arrogant and cruel. There were a few exceptions, but only on rare occasions. Talan took a seat. When Blake asked about his summer, he simply shrugged. "You know," he said apathetically, "Pretty boring. I didn't really do much, and that's why I can't wait to get back to school. Besides all the homework and studying, it's ten times better than being at home." He paused and looked over at Blake. "So what about you?" he asked, "Ready to go back, or would you have liked summer to last a little longer?" ((Sorry it's a bit short.. I'm tired and my brain isn't fully functioning ))

Blake just laughed when Talan talked about his summer it sounded like his own. "Mine was pretty much the same besides a few good moments it was pretty boring." He said laughing. "Most of the time I was forced to stay home because of all the attacks." He said his Grandma was behind this she scared his parents into making him stay home they were already scare of the attacks and his Grandma made it worse. "Were you at any of the attacks? I got lucky I left Diagon Alley right before I happened." He really had gotten lucky he was there for a few days the left only a few hours before the attack had started he didn't even know the attack had happened till he got home and his mom was scared to death he had died or had gotten hurt.

((Sorry for the delay in my posting. I had to take my computer to get scanned and equipped for my new school, and that took them a few days, but it's back now, so I should be posting regularly again. ) Talan felt better to hear that he wasn't the only one who had a boring summer. Not that he wished boredom on others, but he always felt that he was the only one who had horribly dull summers when not at Hogwarts. "I didn't make it to Diagon Alley this summer at all," Talan said, answering Blake's question. "I'm sometimes a procrastinator," he laughed, "So I waited until the last moment and had to do all my shopping at Hogsmeade." His voice turned back to a serious tone. "But anyways, yeah, I guess I was a lucky one too, since I wasn't around for the attacks. Let's just hope the Ministry of Magic can handle all of this. I'd hate for it to get any worse." Talan paused and looked out the window. He watched as families were waving to students on the train as they pulled from the station. He enjoyed Blake's company, but found himself wondering if anybody else would join them. He thought it might be nice to spend the train ride with a crew of Gryffindors.

Amaryllis hurried on to the next compartment, which she unlocked immediately using her wand remembering her experience with the last compartment's door. She threw up as she pushed it open, and tried not to look at that, concentrating instead on getting the occupants of the carriage, two boys, out. "You need to get out of here now!" she said, her voice full of urgency. "Quickly, come on!" One of the boys' legs seemed to be at an odd angle, so she used Wingardium Leviosa to float him out of the door. A glance out of the window confirmed what she had feared from all the jolting of the carriage - that it was slowly sliding down the bank towards the river bottom. A striped cat almost caused her to trip over as it fled its compartment in alarm, and she picked it up, grateful for the fact it didn't scratch her too much, before hurrying towards the best escape route she could see. It was time to get everyone out.
