Laura looked into her cupboard once again, re-checking that she hadn’t forgotten anything. She had all her clothes, her books, wand… Noticing her cauldron in the bottom of her wardrobe Laura pulled it out hurriedly. She didn’t want to even think what Snape would do if she would have forgotten her cauldron at home. Adding the cauldron into her neatly packed trunk Laura sighed. She had everything now. Feeling exited and a bit giddy as always at first day of school She would miss her mother dearly, but Laura was exited at the prospect of seeing Hogwarts once again. And seeing her friends was good. Izy, Nokomis, Kim. Quidditch she had missed too.
“We better get going, Laura,” her mother shouted from downstairs and Laura put Nofretete into her traveling basket after shouting “Coming!” down to her mother.
Picking up the traveling cage with Nofretete and her trunk Laura hurried out of her room, almost stumbling and falling on the stairs. “I’m alright!” Laura shouted to her mother who just laughed softly and took hold of Laura’s trunk as they took Laura’s things to the car. Both Laura and her mother sat into the car chatting in about every-day matters in a friendly atmosphere. They arrived at King’s Cross almost too soon Laura decide as they stocked her trunk and Nofretete’s cage to the last part of the train. Laura smiled softly listening to her mothers words to take care of herself, and be good, and not catch a cold.
“Throwing her arms around her mother Laura hugged her tightly: “Love you, mom.”
“I love you too,” her mother whispered in response. Looking up Laura noticed that the train was starting to get ready to get off, so she let her mom kiss her one more time before she sprinted onto the train.
By some miracle finding a compartment where she could settle into Laura pulled out her pencils and a piece of paper and started drawing.
