Harmony was starving. She had completely skipped her usual lunch time, which was very unlike her, but she had promised she would watch her friends’ duel, and that had been more important than her groaning stomach. However, it was now protesting more than ever, and she found herself almost running to the Great Hall to grab a bite before the end of lunchtime was signalled. Inwardly she sighed that she hadn’t been able to see Ari and Aurora, and she wondered if she should’ve mentioned it to Ari before, but quickly dismissed it from her mind because it was rather pointless to worry about it now.
Trying not to look too desperate to cause people to think she was a freak, Harmony made her way to the Hufflepuff table and immediately poured herself a cup of Pumpkin juice. Taking a large gulp of the sweet liquid, she looked around the Great Hall curiously, and saw a few others also eating. Feeling dwarfed by the masses of empty seats around her, but glad she wasn’t the only one still there, she piled food onto her plate and tried to eat quickly but delicately at the same time.
Harmony was halfway through a piece of succulent chicken (which was satisfying her stomach rather well) when she noticed another girl sit down opposite her with a friendly smile, and also begin to eat. A similar gesture tugged at Harmony’s lips, and she guessed the other Hufflepuff was in the year above her, judging from her height and appearance. Part of her wanted to say hi and ask the girl her name, but decided against it, and continued eating, wondering how much time she had left.

Sadie was glad to see that she wasn't the only young Hufflepuff late for dinner as she noticed a younger girl sitting alone at the table when she reached it. Sadie couldn't believe that she had gotten so intrigued out near the woods by something that she wasn't even sure she had saw that it had almost made her missed dinner. Sadie needed food, more than she needed anything else. Reaching ravenously for the food in front of her, Sadie made no thoughts to the young girl sitting alone for moments until she had finished some of the food in front of her.
Sadie paused for a moment mid snack to look at the younger girl, and remembered what it was like to be a younger year with no friends in your year. Most of Sadie's friends were older than she was so they all had different classes and different class schedules, and it seemed that they hardly spent any time together anymore. Everyone was busy with major things now, and even the DE attacks had stopped her from being able to spend much time with her friends. As a matter of fact the last time she could really remember being with her friends was shortly after the Diagon Alley attacks when she and a couple of her friends had been injured.
Sadie picked up her bag and her plate, and moved herself down near the younger girl, not wanting to get too close and force the girl away. Sadie knew better than anyone than to force company on someone. Not everyone wanted to have someone around them all the time.

((I'm sorry it's so short, but I can't think of anything else to write.))
Harmony blinked repeatedly as she watched the other Hufflepuff girl draw closer to her with her plate, and wondered curiously what she was doing. Perhaps she wanted to talk to her. Harmony shot her a brave smile, and continued to eat absentmindedly, hoping that she wasn't being rude by not talking. She barely ever initiated conversation with strangers, being rather afraid of them. Feeling shyness creep up again, Harmony struggled to keep it down, and to distract her, leaned forward to take some more food. Goodness, she was hungry! This was the price she had to pay for skipping lunch earlier. From a young age, Harmony had always been taught by her mother to never skip meals, and to always have a healthy balanced diet daily. Having breakfast was important, and you had to eat a wide variety of food in order to gain the vitamins and minerals necessary. Harmony could almost recite her mother's words in her head, having heard it so many times. Lorraine Chan had always been diligent and caring about her daughters' nutrition. So far she had done a rather good job.
Harmony wondered what her mother was doing right now as she ate slowly. Glancing briefly at her watch, she realised her mother was probably leaving the classroom to grab a quick lunch herself. Smiling at this thought, Harmony's mind pictured her mother's school clearly, all the little children running around without a care in the world. Although Lorraine could've eaten an hour ago, when lunch break had begun, Harmony knew her mother had probably attended some sort of club. She had always enjoyed running them, much to the children's delight, and Harmony wondered what her life would be like if she wasn't a witch. She used to be like those muggle children, and now she was a full blown witch living and learning in a school of witchcraft. It was a numbing thought. How could this ever happen to her? However, Harmony was shaken out of her daze by someone calling for her attention, and she swiftly snapped her head around, wondering who it was.
