Life at Hogwarts was growing into an easy routine for Zeak. Going to classes was easy for he only had to follow his fellow classmates. He had already mapped out his way to most of the common places here in Hogwarts. The Great hall, the courtyard, the classroom, he had even learned to master and navigate the stairs quite well. Since they did like to shift and change on him. All in all life was pretty simple for him, except when it came to school work. The longer the year pressed on, the more and more work was piled on him and the more and more he felt like he was slipping and falling behind. The professors were cutting him no slack, but Zeak liked it that way. He didn't want special treatment just because he was blind, he wanted to be treated exactly like the others so that he could prove he could become a great wizard through the same means as others around him.
Only now, all he wanted was some lunch. Afternoon potions class had just ended. As always Snape wore Zeak out both physically and mentally. If the other teachers didn't give Zeak special treatment, Snape did, but not the good kind. Zeak was one of the slowest members of the class. Having no sight to rely one he had to measure using his own hands. Had to identify each root with his own hands. Which meant it took him about twice as long as others to cut and divide up individual roots. Snape made it a habit to call on Zeak to demonstrate rather strenuous activities and than ordered him to hurry up in that annoyed tone Snape always seemed to speak with. Than he would pounce on Zeak for each mistake he made.
But Potions was over and behind him for now. He didn't have another potions class for a few more days now, so that was something to look foreword. Right now, all he cared about was lunch. Finding his way to the Great Hall easily he was forced to cover his ears like always when entering the Hall. The hall was usually filled with student's and quite loud and the sound pounded Zeak's eardrums. Once they got used to it he easily found his way to the Gryffindor table and found an empty seat. Leaning his stick next to him he slowly pawed around the table and soon found the plates of food and slowly began to pick each piece he wanted and loaded it onto his plate.
