Maryn pulled her aqua beanie over her head. Why again had she died her hair red again? Oh well. Red did look good on Maryn. Maryn just felt like she wanted to blend in lately. The red hair didn't help that too much. She sighed. The school had been through so much drama lately. Maryn was so glad that she was left out of all of it. After all, she had a lot on her mind without being in the lime light. Maryn liked it that way. It made everything easier. Her beanie kept rising up. Maryn sighed as she stopped in the corridor. She eyes her face in the reflexion of a window. Maryn sighed and quickly did a little charm to keep the cap in place. She smiled. "That will do it." She said out loud. Maryn's eyes feel to the skies outside of the window. She scrunched her noise. Spring would be upon the grounds in no time. But, of course, that meant that Maryn's allergies would keep her inside. She sighed eying the icy lake. Maryn laughed seeing a girl dangling her toes in the frigged water. Crazy. She though turning to walk on.

Maryn didn't even think about the fact that she had been the same way second year. No, that girl was long gone. The one left in her place was much less original. Much less..Maryn walked the corridors silently. It was Saturday morning so it seemed that much of the school was sleeping it. However, it wasn't the early, only around nine o'clock. Maryn scratched her head lightly. She really didn't have many plans for the day. She needed to do a Potions essay and Maryn would write a letter to Nate, but besides that, her day was basically planned to be boring. Recently, Maryn had been like that. She sighed as she pulled her white sweatshirt closer to her skin. Maryn shook her head lightly. She really wished she wasn't walking in silence. Maryn wished that Kia was around, she was always good company. And lately, Maryn had been speaking to Baz a lot, but she hadn't seen him either. Maryn sighed. She was tired of being alone. It was well, lonely. Maryn shook her head slightly. Well, it would just have to do.

Maryn walked in the Great Hall silently. She didn't see many people that she knew about. She sighed. Well, Maryn did notice that older Hufflepuff boy, Carr with Wendi, but considering she didn't know them well, she decided not to say a word. Maryn sighed as she made her way over to an empty seat. Maryn yes the rest of the Gryffindor table. She had heard rumors that Rosaliz was back, but Maryn hadn't seen her yet. Rosaliz hadn't returned to Hogwarts at the beginning of the school year, but Maryn didn't know why. Maryn sighed. She hadn't talked to her friend in such a long time. Most of Maryn's friends hadn't returned to Hogwarts for fourth year. Elisabeth, Brook, Alarice, Leo, and Stryder to name a few. Maryn missed them all. Without them, she felt so, lonely. Maryn sighed. She glanced up from the table for a second. In one brief moment, Maryn swore that she saw Rosaliz, but she must have been wrong because Maryn didn't see her after a second. Maryn sighed and then took a sip of her pumpkin juice. When would Maryn see her friend?

Rosaliz sat in a pool of moonlight on the Hogwarts grounds. There was something about the moon that had always been comforting to her. Now she needed it. With threatening recent problems with all the Death Eaters in Hogwarts, she just needed time to think. She sighed for what seemed the hundredth time today, and plopped down onto the springy grass, drawing my knees up to my chest and hugging them. So much had changed since a year before. In reality it was really less than a year. The Death Eaters were out and about, and any minute could chose to make an appearance at Hogwarts. The forest had never really interested Rosaliz much before, only a symbol of mystery and danger that she'd never wanted to go into. The forest was a mass of blackness... and foreboding with the new dangers inside. Strange to think that with its newest threat of the Death Eaters, she suddenly wanted to go inside and explore the trees. But possible injury and death wasn't the only thing on my mind tonight. Something else...on the positive side, and yet, it was causing me a bit of grief too. "Attacks..." she whispered into the light wind. She wasn't sure of her own feelings, but was almost certain everything had its reasons. Allowing herself a small smile, her stomach did the tiniest series of somersaults as she remembered our hug in the Great Hall and hospital wing. It was like nothing she'd ever felt before, exciting and frightening at the same time. She just didn't know what to do...her brain and heart were all jumbled up.

Sitting in the light of the almost full moon she instantly felt calmer than she had before. Every blade of grass was tinted pearly gray with sharp shadows that felt like they would slice you if you weren't careful. They sky was breath taking, filled with millions and millions of stars, all visible on this cloud free night.... and it was doubled in beauty. The lake reflected the sky perfectly, not a ripple disfigured the clear surface. After staring at it for so long she began to wonder which was the real thing and which image the reflection. For as long as she could remember the moonlight had helped her. When she younger and was scared at night from the believing they lived under her bed, she'd clutch her stuffed bear and sit on her window seat bathed in moonlight for protection. When her mother had died she had gone up onto her roof and sat in the light of the full moon for hours and just cried. It had always been there for her as a source of comfort. Lighting her way. Now she needed its calming, cool feeling once more. And she wasn't disappointed. Rosaliz clutched her robes to her tighter and sat still as can be in the warm breezy night. She closed letting the warm breeze wash over her, soothing all the turmoil that was churning inside. She'd always preferred the night to the day, probably because less people were out and it just seemed calmer in a way. She definitely wanted...needed a little peace. Taking her time with each step, eyes kept on the grass that was stained a slight shade of silver from the moonlight; she made my way out further onto the lawn. As another small gust blew at her hair, she closed her eyes again and let herself be lost in the night.

Rosaliz had observed the sun rise. How peaceful it looked. A couple hours later she noticed that her stomach was rumbling. She was pretty sure that breakfast was just around the corner. So she stood up and started to head back towards the castle. She pushed one of the heavy wooden doors. She remembered the first time she came to Hogwarts, how amazed she was of it, and to think she’d feel comfortable to her. Even though at that time she had doubted about it she had grown into to it. Hogwarts felt like her second home no, Hogwarts was her home. She took in a deep breath of air. How she could taste the pumpkin juice in her mouth with the home baked sweets to go with it. How she missed it and was glad to be back. With a big smile she made her way towards the great hall. She practically ran in, slipping a couple times, getting back up, and ran until she found a seat on the Gryffindor table. She giggled at her self once she sat down, on how silly she can be at times. She than looked around to what she saw. Everything looked so delicious. She didn’t know what to start on. She filled up her plate making a little mountain of food. As if she hadn’t eaten in ages. She ate as much as she could, feeling rather lonely for nobody didn't want to sit next to her. Maybe it was that she was gone for so long nobody hadn’t recognized her. She did grow a bit taller and her face was paler than ever, since she had lack of sunlight. Either way, she ate hoping that somebody would join her and hopped that none of friend were unrecognizable to her.
