Sadie wandered her way out to the courtyard after her classes were over. Her wishes had come true, but what did this mean? Did it mean that she wouldn't be separated from her family again, or did it only mean that she wasn't alone in the world and that she would have family that would be around but not near. Sadie pondered these many questions that ran through her mind as she wandered around the courtyard looking for the perfect spot to stop and think. She needed to clear her mind again, for as excited as she was to find out that she had family, it had also raised many more questions for her. Why hadn't they ever tried to contact her father? Did they know that her father was dead, and if so, why didn't they try to find her? Sadie couldn't stop herself from wandering these things. She needed a distraction but at the moment there wasn't one.
Finding the perfect spot to think, Sadie dropped her bag at the bottom of what appeared to be a very old white ash tree. Sliding her shoes off to reveal her bare feet, Sadie reached up toward the lowest branch and wrapped her hands around it slowly. Realizing that she hadn't been in a tree since her arm had broken, she became nervous, but didn't let it stop her. Feeling the bark beneath her feet, she slid them up the tree one after the other, pulling herself upward into the tree until she was high enough up that she wouldn't get hurt if she fell, but that only her bag was noticed if anyone came around the tree. She sat quietly watching as other students walked by her not noticing that she was there. Only one girl even noticed the bag was beside the tree but no owner seemed to be around it.
((sorry it's so short, but inspiration evades me at the moment))
