"Hush little indian girl, don't you fret. Your mind isn't empty, nor is your head. Your two braids of ebony will always be free. So hush little indian girl, hush for me." Cherokee sung quietly as she braided flowers into a headband. Of course, none of the flowers were in bloom so these were from home. Jay had sent her many flowers and she used them to make beautiful things. "Sing to me my little indian girl, sing to me. Make me forget everything. With the feathers in your hair, fly away and take me there." Kee always felt, for some reason, a slight connection with little indian girls. Her namesake made her feel this way, she was sure. Sometimes she wondered who that Native American had been who had helped with her birth. She even sometimes wanted to find him and thank him. Of course, she never could so she stayed away from ever really looking for him. "Forever you're young, forever you'll be. Never hide away, never hide away from me. To always be forever young it can be tiring when it's done."
Cherokee tied the ends of the flower stems and then placed it on her head. She stood from her spot in the Student Lounge and made her way to the Courtyard. Once she reached it, a blast of cool air struck her. But the sun was shining beautifully. She smiled softly and then made her way to a tree, which she sat underneath. She continued to sing her song and was interuppted by someone. Kee looked up, anger in her eyes.

Katy sighed as she turned the page of her Charms book. Studying was always such a bore. It was all you ever seemed to do in your fifth year. She should put a huge red letters on her forehead that said bored. Though, anybody who walked by would notice by just the look on her face. Resting her elbows on the table and leaning her chin in her hands, she stared down at the book trying to concentrate. Staring hard at the words for a moment she sighed before looking about the library. There was only just a couple people scattered everywhere, but known that she knew. Running her fingers through her curly hair, Katy looked back at the book in front of her. She wished Myka was there, but they weren’t supposed to meet until dinner time, which was at least a couple more hours away. Katy found herself thinking of Myka a lot. During class, walking in the corridors, working on homework, just before she went to bed, the older girl just wouldn’t get out of her mind. Katy also wondered if Myka did the same about her. It always felt good to know that someone was thinking about you every second of the day.
Closing the book shut and setting it inside of her shoulder bag, she stood up from the chair while pulling on her black jacket. Katy was still in uniform, but a walk around the courtyard sounded nice. Maybe she would be able to catch up with Myka early. Heading out of the Library, Katy made her way to the courtyard where a blast of cold air greeted her. Luckily, she wore leg warmers under her skirt in the winter. Walking along the path as her shoulder bag slumped against her leg she stopped by a tree hearing a girl sing. Looking around, Katy saw a younger student sitting on the ground with a rather pretty flower headband in her hair. The girl noticed her and looked at Katy with such anger in her eyes. “Erm…I’m really sorry…The song just attracted me that’s all…” she began offering a kind smile to the girl. “I like your headband…did you make it?”

Kee tilted her head to the side as the girl who had intruded upon her song said she was just attracted by it and then she asked about her headband. Kee's hand went to her head and she pulled it off her head sheepishly. "Yes, I made it. You can have it, it would just get ruined if I kept it." Thrusting the flower headband toward the girl, Kee stood from her spot beneath the tree. The girl in front of her was older, that was apparent. She had to have been at least fifteen. She certainly wasn't in Slytherin and she didn't look like a Ravenclaw or Gryffindor, so she must have been a Hufflepuff. A fifth year, if she was fifteen. Kee didn't keep up to date with gossip or rumors that surrounded just that house or a couple of the houses. Unless it buzzed through the whole school, Kee didn't know about it. One particular piece of gossip that was buzzing around was the one about the Hufflepuff fifth year and the Ravenclaw sixth year and them being a couple. Kee didn't pay much attention to it, it wasn't her business.
She turned to leave, but curiosity stopped her. Kee was never curious, she never steppedout of what was her bubble and she rarely asked questions. Now she wanted to. Turning on her heel, she crossed her arms, and nodded. "Alright. Question, and this might seem a bit blunt, but... you're the girl they're all talking about, aren't you? The one who is said to be... well.. not said to be... more proven to be rather, gay." Kee stopped abruptly and quickly ran her fingers through her hair. "Obviously it's not my place to say, nor is it my place to ask about your personal life. I'm just curious."

Katy watched the younger, waiting for some kind of reply. She couldn’t be any older than fourteen, and clearly not in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. Though, she didn’t seem to be like some of the other Slytherins who thought they were above everyone. That was a relief, but maybe the girl still thought it, but just didn’t stomp on others to show it. It was still a belief amongst all the Slytherins; it was just that some of the older Slytherins were more mature about it. Katy always made sure she stayed clear of the house or just anyone in particular that just wouldn’t accept her. When the girl threw her the headband, Katy caught it in her palms. Her fingers smoothed over the petals, admiring the handy work. When the girl said she could keep it, Katy shook her head. She normally didn’t accept things from people she barely even knew. Throwing it back at the girl, Katy smiled at her. “It suits you better. My hair is way too curly to be able to put anything in it. The only thing I can do is just pull it up in a pony tail. Anyway, it will look better in your hair, and if you loose it, then just make another.”
Tucking her hair behind her ear, Katy leaned up against the tree. She wondered if the younger girl was going to leave or not. Noticing that she turned back around to Katy and asked her a rather blunt question about her sexuality, Katy looked down at the ground. Her mind was processing on what to say. Taking a deep breath, Katy looked back up at the girl, her right leg raising and resting on the bark of the wood. “Well, I am going out with that cute, older Ravenclaw girl. So I guess the rumors are right for once,” Katy said feeling quite happy with herself that she didn’t fluster or deny it. “Curiosity gets the best of us sometimes….You seem to know who I am and a lot about myself, I just don’t know who you are.”

Harmony puckered her lips together awkwardly and blew.
Nothing.
"Ah, I give up!" Harmony grinned, rolling her eyes and giggling to herself. Nope, she just couldn't whistle. Even though her friends had been trying over and over again how to do so, she just couldn't do it. She didn't mind that much, and she found it amusing that she could do all sorts of magical things, but not make some easy whistling noise. It was a silly claim, but Harmony's claim all the same.
She was sitting beside a rushing fountain, reading a Japanese manga book lent to her from her cousin, and was really enjoying it, until whistling was mentioned. With a half determined voice in her head, she had cast her book aside for a moment, and had attempted to whistle for about five minutes. But it obviously wasn't her thing.
Harmony enjoyed peaceful time to herself, and the courtyard was one of her favourite places. It was so pretty and peaceful, and was one of the best places to be absorbed entirely into a book. Remembering about the manga, she turned her head to pick it up from beside her and reimmerse herself in the world of romance, when she caught sight of two older girls in the distance. One of them looked familiar... A red haired girl from her house. And the younger one seemed to be a Slytherin, if memory served. Harmony didn't know their names, but she thought she had heard something about the Hufflepuff being a lesbian or something...
A part of Harmony admired how this older girl seemed to be taking the rumours. If Harmony had heard anything, it probably meant everyone else knew something. She was always the last one to know, as she never did care that much. She wondered what it would be like if the whole school was talking about her. Cringing in thought, Harmony shook her head and left the girls to themselves, returning to her awaiting book. Now where was I...?
