Tap, tap, tap was the only sound that reached Zeak’s ears as he traveled down the deserted corridor. His walking stick, making the tapping noises, moved rhythmically in front of him, acting as his scout to make sure no obstructions heeded his path. It was time for him to do this, he had been putting this off for a long time. He had been frightened to travel outside of the Common room. He had heard all of the other new students talking excitedly about the magic of the place. How the staircases liked to move and all the secrete passages. It was an exciting subject, for someone with sight. All their talk had frightened Zeak. What if he got lost? What if he reached a place were no one would find him and he was stuck wandering the corridors forever until he expired.
He had finally decided to throw away his fear. He couldn’t live in the common room. Every time it was time to go to class Zeak would have to cling onto the shirt of a fellow classmate and follow them to and from class. He couldn’t go on like that for 7 years. He was going to have to take a risk and mentally memorize the castle layout. He walked slowly, memorizing each step so that he could properly retrace them. So far he made walked down 3 sets of stairs, 13 steps, 23 steps, and 16 steps. After the steps he had made 5 left turns and 3 right turns. He sighed as he stopped walking and leaned against the wall. He had been walking for nearly an hour and now was exhausted. Perhaps it was time to turn back.
Zeak spun around and began his way back. He felt confident, he had mapped out his progress perfectly. If he followed his mental map he should make it to back to the Gryffindor Common room within the hour. Zeak didn’t realize anything was wrong until his walking stick tapped into a wall. His face scrunched up in confusion, this wall shouldn’t be here. He wasn’t due for a turn in the corridor for a long time. His mind raced as he thought of what could have possibly happened. He had followed his mental map perfectly, how could he have gotten so lost?
Unknown to Zeak the staircases weren’t the only thing that liked to move in Hogwarts. Sometimes the walls like to shift and create new passages also. He felt the pangs of panic begin to creep into his mind as he began to hyperventilate. “No!” he growled as he forced his breathing to regain a normal pattern and he quickly cleared his mind of panic. He could get through this, he just had to think clearly. He had to find somebody and get his bearings clear. Taking a deep breath he began to move down the corridor once again. “Hello? Is anybody there?” He called out hopping to make contact with someone.

"Get out of my class you filthy blood traitor!" the professor screamed at Morgan as she sat, talking to her friends. "Why don't you just shut up you crazy and old cracked up freak!" she screamed back. As more and more unfortunate words were shouted Morgan began sweating furiously. Closing and then reopening her eyes Morgan groaned as she realized she had been having another of her weird and cracked up dreams in the middle of class and someone had infact been calling on her. Quickly answering the question with a dumb answer the bell wrang and she practically ran from class. Life seemed to be getting more and more boring ever since her brother had lost contact with her. It was like someone had put a spell on her life causing her to have weird dreams and nothing interesting happening in her life.
She knew she was way to embarassed to go back to the common room so instead she began wandering around the castle, smiling at memories she found in different corridors that had been with Dresden, Leah, Leon, or Stryder, or other people. She had began trying to make a lot more friends, and in this process found herself forgetting about her real friends that she had already had.
Wandering around she ended up in the top of the castle near what she figured had to be the Gryffindor Common Room. She wasn't sure, but it had been when Sirius Black had came to the castle and the Fat Lady had fleed that she thought she had seen the entrance but she couldn't remember, it was very long ago. Smiling she heard someone coming down the hall and was going to say hi when they practically yelled, asking if anyone was there. She saw the cane, and put two and two together. He was blind. "Yes." she said aloud to him, "I'm sorry I didn't mean to frighten you. Do you need any help or anything?" she asked, not trying to sound rude. She knew he would probably think she felt sorry for him and she hated that. She hated when people did it to her as well.

Patricia walked out of the girl’s bathroom near the gryffindor common room Crying and rubbing her eyes. She stopped realizing someone was there and sucked up her tears. She spotted a gryffindor, and she definably didn’t want to seem week around one. So she sucked in her gut and walked up to him from behind. Making sure her blonde hair was covering the bruise above her left eyebrow. She didn’t recognize him at all. But he was around the age of a first year. “Ah did the little gryffindork lose his way?” she said mocking him.
“What’s your name anyway?” she barked

Rayne couldn't focus enough to draw anymore. There was too much on her mind for her to sit down and stare at a piece of paper for hours on end. Instead she'd go wandering. Lately wandering had done more for her then just clearing her head. Lately as she'd been wandering she'd been running into more and more people who seemed to feel like she did. Like they didn't belong or didn't deserve friends. The result was she had almost doubled the amount of people she knew in this school in the past 3 days. Of course that only brought the amout up to four but that was besides the point.
As she was walking she almost ran into a group of students congregated in the hallways. There was a gryffindor who looked young and was surprisingly also blind. Rayne was surprised she didn't know there were any blind students in Hogwarts but it was kind of cool to see him walking the halls. It must have been a very scary thing to do seeing as everything in the castle moved. There was also an older Hufflepuff girl standing near him. And to top off the odd looking group another girl who looked to be about Raynes age and also Slytherin. The Hufflepuff seemed to be being nice to the boy the other girl was being a typical Slytherin and being as rude as ever. Rayne hated it when people were mean to others especially somoene considerably younger than them.
Rayne had seen more than enough to get herself involved. She stepped up to the boy and older girl so she it was obvious to those around that she was aligning herself with them. Rayne turned to face the other girl. "Hey everyone gets lost in these halls inculding you I'm sure so you can just take your precious little Slytherin self and get bent love."

Patrice was pissed. She was going to be sympathetic to the boy now, that she realized he was blind. But to this girl, who so rudely butted in. she was not gong to allow that. She just couldn’t let that happen. She stepped eye and eye with her. “Listen you little git. Was I talking to you? NO! And I would appreciate it love if you didn’t but in to others conversations. It doesn’t’ become you.” she said mocking. And moved her blonde hair behind her ear and crossed her arms with smile.

Zeak was about to give up hope, he was indeed alone in the corridor and would be forced to wonder around until he found somebody when someone spoke up. He jumped a little not really expecting a reply. The voice that had spoken to him was female and he could hear her footsteps drawing nearer. She sounded older than him and he could already feel the blush of embarrassment reaching his cheeks. He couldn't seem to find his voice as she drew near and asked if he needed help. She no doubt realized he was blind by now and he sighed as she no doubt felt sorry for him. Everyone seemed too. Zeak coughed, action seeming to bring his voice back to him. "I seem to be a bit lost." He said scratching his head in embarrassment and chuckling slightly. He turned and faced the direction he had come. "I decided to try and map out the castle so that I can actually function here without help. I must have messed up one of my directions or something." He turned back to the girl. "I'm trying to find the Com......"
Before he could finish another voice intruded on their conversation, and this one, although also female, didn't sound to friendly. Most likely the voice belonged to a Slytherin. Zeak's past experiences with them had been, non-to friendly. Zeak turned to face the new girl and retreated back a step from her. Some Slytherin's had come at him physically, although most just attacked him verbally. The fact that she asked for his name did confuse him. Up to this point not one of his attackers had cared for his name. "Z...Zeak Nitesh." He said, the surprise bringing his name up out of him. He was about to ask her for her name, only because it had become natural for him to introduce himself and ask for the others name but than another voice rang up.
This one was also female and older than him and she seemed to come to aide him as she quickly called the Slytherin girl out. The Slytherin girl wasted no time in coming up with a retort and Zeak knew what was about to happen, he had been around the halls long enough to see the fight coming, and he was the sole reason for the fight and he was caught in the middle. Zeak gulped and backed away from the pair, his back soon finding a wall and his unseeing-eyes wide behind his glasses as he listened to the events unfold in front of him.

Patricia walked over to Zeak. “Listen kid I am Patricia if you were wondering, Patricia Dawsinson,’’ she grabbed his hand ruffly and shook it. ‘And just to let you know, I was being nice ok, NICE, gosh. Now if you need any help just ask me ok. But apparently these losers are talking to you.” she glared at the other two girls. “Remember love, if you want to survive at Hogwarts, make the right friends” she let go of his hand ruffley as well. “Tootles, I am going to be late, Good bye darlings” She blew them a kiss and stormed off.

Rayne was seething. She couldn't believe the nerve of this girl. She was like another Rachel possibly worse. Who did this girl think she was to come in insult a boy two years younger then her then turn on Rayne and call her a little git. God she hated Slytherins that acted like the entire school was their playgrounds and the students their playthings. Someone really needed to teach the little Slytherin princesses their place in life. Rayne bit her tongue however she had already been in two fights over the course of two days she didn't need another especially not in front of two strangers one of whom was blind. Rayne didn't care that he was blind she just knew if they got into a wand fight a stray spell might hit the boy and then she'd feel awful.
Rayne kept her mouth shut till Patricia had stormed off. "Oh I hate people like her! Yeah she was being so nice and all calling you a gryffindork. That's the epitome of nice right there. Remind me to go find her and beg her forgivness later." Rayne said sarcastically walking towards the boy. "Sorry bout that love didn't mean to scare you people like that piss me off picking on someone two years younger then them. The name's Rayne by the way."

"Hello, I'm Morgan Collins. She said to both Rayne and Zeak after she had observed the Slytherin and Rayne have a bicker. Before the Slytherin had left completely Morgan had the urge to send a spell at her but decided it wasn't worth it because maybe to Patrice or whatever her name was that really was being nice, even though in Morgan's opinion it so wasn't! Turning to Zeak she grinned. "So you're a first year, no wonder your lost, anyone would be, able to see or not, heck, I just got the hang of the stupid moving stairs. I like almost completely suck at making my way around the castle getting lost all the time." Morgan told him trying to make him feel a bit better. She knew the toughness of being blind because once, when she had participated with the town in an obstacle course you had to do one part with a blind fold on. It wasn't true but it gave the genuine idea.
