Wendi sat lazily on her bed in her dorm. She was chewing on her pencil cap unwearyingly as she glanced at the blank parchment. Not a word. Not one word was written on her parchment. She glanced over to her book, but again she could think of nothing to write. Wendi tapped her fingers on her book, but she was still having a brain freeze. She didn’t know what to write for that blasted paper. Feeling as though Transfiguration truly hated her, Wendi didn’t even here the slight tapping at her window. Tap. Tap. Wendi heard nothing as she gazed at the blank parchment. Tap. Tap. Wendi looked up, but she didn’t know what she was looking for or where so was looking for it. Tap. Tap. This time, Wendi saw the owl at her window. She gazed at the owl with a raised eyebrow. It wasn’t Jamison’s new owl nor was it Myn’s or May’s. In fact, Wendi had never seen this poor creature before in her life and she was pretty sure that it was not a school owl. When pushed her tedious homework aside. It could wait for the moment. Wendi walked over to her window sill and reached up to unlock the window. She was now facing a rather old and frightening looking black wretched owl. It looked as though it had not seen day light for year. “Hey, little owl.” Wendi said cutely as she took the letter from the animal. However, she didn’t receive a little bird coo as she did from friendly owls, it just stared past her and darted of. Wendi looked after the thing, but then just sighed as she looked at the letter in her own hands.
Wendi glanced at it as she sat back down on her bed. It was addressed to her she guess. It said. “To that Parson Child:” Wendi assumed it was intended for her and not Jamison. Even though Wendi was quite curious as to whom it was from. She knew still that she had work to do. However, Wendi tossed her books on the ground and started to open the letter. Wendi gazed at the words. The letter was quite lengthy and its words confused her. Until, she read the signature. The letter reads as follows:
Certainly you have not forgotten me, have you? Of course not. The darling little Parson child that her parents always bragged about even as a small child doesn’t have a problem with her good old uncle dropping his niece a note, does she? Of course not. After all, I am your uncle. You know, I could be your guardian at any time young Wendi. All you have to do is ask. Never forget that. But of course you won’t. My darling niece knows her dear uncle is always on her side no matter what. I’ve always seen that special spark in you Wendi. You know that. I know you do. Jamison knows it too. He has always been a bright boy, but when I first saw him, I knew he wouldn’t change the Parson clan once again as I did. Nope, Wendi dearest. Only you had that special spark about you that made me glance at you again and again. You were so different than any Parson even as a child. You acted as though everything was good enough for you and yet you wanted something that a normal Parson wouldn’t even think about. You would toss aside the expensive clothes and toys your family gave you in exchange for a raggedy old blanket your mother carried around as a baby. And you were only two when this happened. I knew at that moment, you were different. I knew you would set the Parson clan apart even more than I could. I saw you truly Wendi. I really did.
Wendi, you and I are the only ones that truly understand. Not even Jamison fully understands you and you know it is true so do not try and deny it. You belong to the very club formed when I was placed into Slytherin. You were the one other Parson to make things a little different for the clan except the fact that you broke all plans I made for you. When your parents died, what a shame that was.., I made little plans for you in my head. The plans I made for you were merely lists in my mind of ways I thought you would live your life. Instead of you growing bitter and depresses after the deaths, it didn’t seem to phase you too much. I to realize that you were young, but that change from you surprised me so very much. In fact, it made me admire you more. No, you were not turning into the child I thought you would, but you were turning into something so much better. Wendi, I know now that I was not the Parson that changed it all. That will be you.
Wendi you are the chosen Parson. I know this to be true. Now, I know you are wondering what I mean. I mean by this that one Parson can lead the family to greatest. Wendi, with both of us working together, we can make the family stronger. I know we can. You are a smart kid, Wendi Eden-Grace. You know this family well and you can lead them. You are the brightest of the family and I know you are the strongest. They can know this too Wendalynn. I know they can. Wendi I know we haven’t spoken to each other in years but I plan to change that soon. I don’t know when, but I can promise it will be within the year, but no sooner than five or six months. Be strong Wendi, because with my help, you will do great things. You don’t need Gram and Gramp or Jamison. They will just get in your way. Think it through Wendi. Somewhere deep down inside you, I know you are listening to my words. Be strong Wendalynn. Keep strong.
I know you are safe. No one believes that Hogwarts is safe anymore and I can not deny that, but I will try my best to keep you safe. There no guarantees of course, but for the current moment, Hogwarts seems safe. I don’t think this owl will be intercepted. I put too many charms and enchantments on it so that only you could open. Besides, if any touch besides yours touches the inside parchment, the paper will burn. So, this letter is safe. I would advise that you keep this letter from Jamison. Even though he is a smart boy, he isn’t like you. He won’t understand Wendi. He will just pull you back from everything you could be. Believe in me, Wendi. I will not bring you down. I do advise that you keep an eye out for my letters and follow them. After all, it would be a real shame for you to end up like your parents. Remember that. Goodbye from now.
From your ever watchful uncle,
Wendi gasped as she finished the letter. That signature. Those words. It all made sense, but it scared her so much. Wendi knew exactly what was happening again. It was all happening again. Wendi’s head hit her pillow as she gave up her strength for the moment. The letter fell of the bed. Wendi clutched another pillow with her hand as she stared at the wall. Why was he back? Why did he need or want her so badly? Keith’s words from the letter were etched in Wendi brain. She couldn’t process any of it. The words just ran around her brain as if she were a computer. Wendi’s eyes were wide open now. After moments, of just laying in fear. Wendi snapped up. She grasped the letter firmly in her hands as her whole body shook. This wasn’t good. This would change Wendi’s whole life for now. She knew it. Wendi read the letter again, but none of it was comforting. Her eyes grew wide when she noticed that he called her Wendalynn. Jamison nicknamed Wendi that only in the past year. Wendi knew she hadn’t seen Keith since she was seven. It all suddenly came to her. Wendi’s head jerked. He had been watching her.
Wendi was shaking. Keith had ruined it all. She and Jamison both knew that Keith had been the one that killed there parents. Now he wanted Wendi. He had always wanted Wendi, but he seemed to want her now more than before. Wendi’s skin grew pale and everything around her seemed cold. He was after he again. It was all happening again. The lies, the fear, the pain. Except now, Wendi seemed even more at risk than before. After a certain number of minutes of sitting down, Wendi couldn’t take it anymore. She stuffed the parchment into her pocket as she rushed out of her dorm. Wendi glided through the Common Room as fast as she could. She left the room and started making her way to the stairs. She speeded through the Great Hall. Wendi started to take shard panicking breaths as she moved. Wendi knew didn’t exactly know what she was doing. She was reacting on impulse because she couldn’t think. Wendi continued to move about the castle like a soulless ghost.
Wendi glanced at it as she sat back down on her bed. It was addressed to her she guess. It said. “To that Parson Child:” Wendi assumed it was intended for her and not Jamison.
