Gabriella was sitting at a small desk in the corner of the library near a window. She was working on her History of magic Homework for Professor Binns. She had only written a few lines and Binns wanted 12 inches. Her mind was stuck, she didn't know what to write. This was unusual because Gabriella was usually fine at finishing her homework quickly.
She kept getting destracted by watching the giant squid in the lake outside the window. But she thought she had to finish this. So she put her head on the desk and tried to think of what Proffesor Binns had said in the lesson yesturday.

Wandering into the Library with a blank expression on her face, Harmony glanced around for any spare desks for her to work at. She had yet another essay that needed finishing, this time from Ancient Runes, and since she was doing nothing currently, she planned to complete it today. Noting with a little annoyance that no completely empty tables were available, Harmony gave a long-suffering sigh, clutching her books to her chest in a protective manner. She liked to either be with friends or left alone, and wasn’t fond of the idea of sitting with someone else. It wasn’t because she was so selfish she disliked sharing. It was merely because she was such a shy girl, and socialising with strangers had always been difficult. All Harmony was asking for was a little time and space for some proper concentration. She would’ve retreated to her usual spot beside the roaring fire in the Student Lounge to do her work, but had given up on that idea once she had seen the masses of people studying in there. Turning away from that place, Harmony had decided to move to the Library, seeing as the Hufflepuff Common Room was not much less populated. However, it turned out that the normally half empty Library was just as full as every other place. Cursing this fact in her head, Harmony stared around a little frantically, wondering if she would see anybody she recognised.
Spotting what appeared to be a younger girl at a desk in the corner near a window which looked out over the Lake, Harmony shuffled over quietly, seeing as it was the best spot she could probably find. Harmony didn’t mind the first years so much, and felt less shy around them than the older students; the eleven to twelve year olds reminded Harmony of herself when she had first come to Hogwarts, and because in appearance there was not much separating a first and second year, there was at least a sense of ease and acceptance between them. Approaching the table which was hidden between two large bookshelves, Harmony plonked her heavy books down onto the wooden desk as she watched her company writing studiously. From the looks of it, the dark haired girl was a Gryffindor, and Harmony found herself admiring the first year’s long wavy dark hair. Pulling consciously at her own short black locks, Harmony wondered if she should ever grow her hair longer, though immediately decided against it. She doubted it would suit her the way it did Ari. Seeing the Gryffindor girl sense her presence, Harmony flashed her a coy smile and sat down, trying to make as little noise as possible. “Mind if I join you?” she asked with a worried expression. She doubted that this friendly-looking girl would boot her off, but was Harmony being too assuming that she wouldn’t? Shifting nervously, Harmony murmured a “Sorry, am interrupting you?” with an apologetic grimace, and got ready to move in case she wasn’t pleased with sharing her space.

Cameron entered the Library and took a glance around. At the table nearest to the door he saw a table full of what looked like 6th years. He shuddered, he would surley not even attempt to sit there. He kept on walking, seeing table after table filled with older students. blimey, I've never seen the library so crowded he thought to himself. The librarian must be particularly edgy due to the fullness of her library.
Cameron finally approached a table where there was a seat open. He did not know the two girls who occupied the table, but he figured he would sit down and hope that they were friendly. Sirius sat down the girly care and took out his quill and parchment, he had an essay due for potions that he had put off to the last minute. He looked up from his bag nervously " er, mind if I sit here?"

Gabriella saw that the girl was about to get up again when she said "no no its fine, don't worry your not disturbing me" she smiled at the girl. "I like company".
Gabriella started to twiddle her quill between her fingers. She was still stuck on what to write for her essay. She looked out of the window and spotted a care of magical creatures class outside of Hagrid's hut.
She wanted to make conversation with the girl so she was about to say something when she heard a chair scrape. She turned round and saw a Ravenclaw boy sitting down. 'Mind if i sit here' he said. "no, i don't mind" Gabriella said smiling at him

Cameron was relieved that the girl had accepted him to her table and tried to begin his potions essay. " I don't believe I've introduced myself, Im Cameron Tanner" He said with a sheepish grin. Cameron tried to get back to his essay, but he simply could not remember what was said about sleeping potions, so he looked up from his essay and glanced over at Gabriellas essay " ah history of Magic eh? Wouldn't be such a bad class if Binns didn't drone on and on in that terribly boring voice"

Harmony breathed out a sigh of relief and sent the younger girl a bright smile before settling down properly. Spreading her books out to organise herself, Harmony got to work studiously, head to the table with her quill moving up and down. About five minutes passed and already Harmony was in the world of runes, until the sound of a chair alerted her to another presence. An older boy from Ravenclaw was taking a seat beside her and the Gryffindor, and he asked whether he could join them. After the first year had spoken her approval, Harmony gave a coy smile and also nodded mutely. Returning to her essay, Harmony paused in thought as she wondered what to write next. It was then that the Ravenclaw decided to introduce himself, and after listening to Gabriella also give her name, Harmony knew it would be rude if she did not offer herself too, so did so quietly, “It’s nice to meet you both. I’m Harmony Chan, second year.” A shy smile graced her face again.
From the looks of it, Cameron appeared to be a third year, and Harmony wondered if he was acquainted with Richard. Inclining her eyes to his face with interest, Harmony gazed at him curiously, but turned away in case he caught her doing so. Harmony tried to stifle a soft giggle at Gabriella’s comment on History of Magic, and to back her actions up, she gave an apologetic smile at the two. “Oh, sorry, I’m just laughing because you both sound so much like me. I like History of Magic a lot, but the lessons are so, so boring.” Glancing at how Gabriella had stopped midway in her essay, Harmony cocked her head to one side in thought as she stared at the title, hoping that the younger girl didn’t mind her inquiring. “Are you stuck, Gabriella? Would you like some help? History of Magic is one of my better subjects.” Harmony tried to smile friendlily; she was feeling very shy, but it helped that Gabriella was a younger student, and Harmony was rather passionate about History of Magic at times. She did want to help the Gryffindor, and being shy shouldn’t stop her. Not wanting to leave Cameron out, Harmony flashed a small smile at him too, “I can remember when I was in first year, but nothing seems to have changed... It looks like we've all still got lots of work to do.” She giggled nervously, indicating her own unfinished essay with a grimace.

"oh yes please, if you can. I just can't think of anything to write" she showed Harmony what the homework was, she was so grateful for the help. Harmony seemed like such a nice girl.
