Harmony skipped playfully down the corridors in high spirits, a thick letter clutched safely in her hand dangling by her side, addressed in scrawled handwriting to “Mum”. In her other hand she held some dry owl treats, knowing they would definitely come in handy for her next mission. Harmony hummed carefreely to herself as she made her way to the owlery, hoping to catch Atalanta there before she flew off somewhere else and Harmony couldn’t find her. Knowing Ari wouldn’t mind the fact that she was borrowing her trusty pet yet again, Harmony fingered a lock of black hair to occupy herself with, and a pleased grin spread itself onto her face, knowing her mother would be delighted to receive her second weekly letter from her darling younger daughter.
“Not standing alone, not standing around while they sit there and wait until I lose my ground. Not letting it go, won't leave it behind, won't let it pass me by, no, not this time.” Harmony managed to sustain a perfectly tuned note, her success reflecting in her very happy expression. She continued to sing loudly, knowing no one would be up this early on a weekend morning. It was nice actually, rising from bed at such premature hours on a Saturday, however ghastly it sounded; even Harmony admitted it seemed a terrible thought, though when she came round to making it a regular practise of hers, she loved it. Harmony found a serenity within the school which she felt did not exist whilst everyone was bustling about, hurrying to and fro, doing this and that. Now as she made her way idly down the empty corridor, her childish voice echoing off the tall ceilings, she felt she could be herself in a public place and not care what others thought, because no one was here! Harmony also noticed that she could do whatever she wanted, go nearly wherever she wanted to go, and feel the peace inside of her, as barely any of the teachers would want to patrol the school now… although Harmony stayed as far away from Professor Snape’s office diligently. Just in case.
Finally reaching the owlery and ceasing her jubilant singing so she wouldn’t awake or scare away the owls, Harmony strolled in as quietly as possible, and noted without surprise that no one else was currently here. Smiling to herself, Harmony swept round the fairly small area, gazing around for a familiar bulk of black. Suddenly, with a whoosh of beating wings, a heavy object landed on Harmony’s shoulder, and she felt a memorable brush of soft feathers, smelt the usual smell Atalanta carried, and heard her soft hoot beside her ear. “Hello, Ata.” Harmony grinned, using the owl’s even more abridged name whilst speaking softly as she cocked her head to one side to have a proper view of the medium-sized owl. Atalanta was usually known to its owner, Ariane, as Atala, but Harmony had shortened that even more, to what she used now as “Ata”. Walking over to the nearest windowsill, Harmony let Atalanta deposit itself and fly neatly onto the edge, instead of weighing down her shoulder for support. “How are you, Ata?” Harmony asked with a happy expression, pleased to see her friend again as she watched her expectantly. “What? You clever bird, you know I have something for you!” Harmony laughed quietly, and raised her hand without the letter, tempting the owl with the contents lying innocently in her palm.
Harmony slipped her envelope into a robe pocket as she gently preened Atalanta’s glossy feathers. She fed the owl a couple of tasty treats, Atalanta obviously pleased and lavishing in the attention Harmony always gave her. Smiling contentedly at the animal’s reaction, Harmony proceeded to give Atalanta the precious sealed letter, and she accepted it readily in her beak with a happy twinkle in her golden eyes. “Go send that to mum, Ata. Be safe.” Harmony murmured in low tones to the geared up owl, and with a flutter of feathers, Atalanta jumped out of the window with sleek elegance, and into the soft light of day. Harmony watched her fly swiftly away until she was just a black speck in the clear skies, a smile evident on her face. Her mind rested inevitably on her mother, living, hopefully very happily and snugly, at her sister’s home in the centre of London. No doubt Mrs Chan was having a lie-in in bed this morning, having no work during the weekends, as she was a primary school teacher. Harmony’s smile became slightly sardonic at the thought of the usual amount of muggle children’s messy homework stacked in neat piles on the kitchen table, in need of marking by the end of the following Monday. Harmony felt sympathy for her mother fill her insides, but knew it wasn’t too difficult work. After all, Lorraine Chan was merely filling the youngsters’ books and sheets of paper with large impressive ticks and typical comments of enjoyment. Harmony smiled, knowing how her mother loved her job, even though the kids could be very difficult to control. Before Harmony had enrolled in Hogwarts, before she discovered she was actually a witch with magical powers, she had always aspired to be like her mother, to be a caring teacher. However, now that her life had changed this drastically, everything appeared to be unclear.
“Hi mum. How are you? Hope you’re well. I miss you.” Harmony dreamily stared into the skies which Atalanta inhabited no more, and gave an outward sigh, thoughts drifting along with her serene but nostalgic mood. Although Harmony had long since overcome her homesickness – or rather, mum-sickness – she still thought about her mother frequently, wondered how she was doing with Aunt Vanessa. Knowing her auntie and mother would take care of each other and loved each other very much, Harmony’s expression was currently one of calm and serenity as she gazed into the brightly lit sky. She tucked her hair behind her ears to prevent the stray strands from blowing into her face, letting the early cold bite her cheeks as she leaned out of the window. It was a beautiful view, a bird’s eye glance of the lower grounds of Hogwarts. In the distance, Harmony glimpsed with squinted eyes a boy riding his broomstick with obvious confidence, whizzing speedily around the crisp thin air. Probably practising for a match, since he appeared to be skilled in his flying. Harmony felt a sudden urge to join him, to climb through the window, and drop gracefully downwards, like Atalanta had done so previously. “I wish.” Harmony smiled to herself ironically, and told herself it was freezing anyway. A little part of her felt guilty though, as she knew she should practise her Quidditch skills, and get ready for the upcoming matches against the other houses. It was a responsibility which Harmony had to uphold.
It was then that a hand fell onto her shoulder lightly, tapping for Harmony’s attention. With a short yelp, Harmony spun round to see who it was, completely surprised as she was shot out of her dreamy reverie. Immediately the memories sunk to the back of her mind, returning to their residence until they would be needed. She noticed that she had scared some of the nearby sleeping owls, who now looked rather ruffled and annoyed, their sharp eyes boring into Harmony’s apologetic ones. Flashing them a sorry smile, Harmony turned to see who it was that had frightened her, and immediately recognised the girl before her. “Oh! Hi! I’m sorry, I was just so scared for a moment. Shouldn’t have been daydreaming.” Harmony scratched her head with a nervous chuckle, and turned her body fully away from the open window, her mind far away from Atalanta’s whereabouts now. “I haven’t seen you in a long time.” Harmony initiated finally after an awkward pause of silence. “Um… How are you?”

"No more." Wendi decided childishly as parchment crumbled on the floor. She shook her head at the sound near her. "No, no." She said stubbornly. The morning was quite new, but Wendi had been up for hours writing. She hadn't been able to sleep much so she instead decided to do something about that. And with her little adventure of writing, Wendi couldn't just do it alone. "You need to talk to him and since you won't, a letter is the next best the." The boy said. Wendi shook her head in the childish mood she was in. "I'm too tired to care." Wendi said crossing her legs on the couch in the Hufflepuff Common Room. "But, Wendi.." The boy insisted. "No, Carr McDuff." Wendi said poking her friend lightly in the shoulder. Lately, Wendi had spent a lot of time with Carr, but she knew he didn't mind. Every now and then, Wendi really needed one person. And for once, it wasn't Jami. No, this time, it was Carr and Wendi fully intended to stick by him. "Carr, I can't even put my mind on how to form words on paper at this moment." She explained as her head fell onto a pillow. Carr sighed. Wendi had woken him up at four A.M. and his best idea was for her to write to Jami. "Couldn't we have just put an enchanted snake plushie in the Slytherin Common Room? That sounds much more exciting and right now, excitement would be nice." She said lazily. Carr sighed as his head fell on a pillow also. You know you need to talk to him. After all, he is your brother." Wendi nodded. "Yea, I know."
Two hours had past, but neither Wendi nor Carr noticed. No, they had dozed off right after Carr's head hit the pillow. Both of them lied fast asleep on a Hufflepuff Common Room couch together. Wendi would have never put herself in this position if only she hadn't been this tired, this worked up. For a few months, Wendi hadn't been the same. She had been drastically different, actually. But, being with Carr made her feel as close to normal as she could. So, Wendi knew she didn't have to worry about what people thought of her and Carr. Because they were nothing more than friends and right now, Wendi knew no better than to let herself show people a side of her they didn't know existed. Then, as clear as day, Wendi was awake. It wasn't really light outside and she didn't really know what had woken her up, but she was awake. Her blond hair drooped around her face. Wendi pushed it aside with her half-asleep peach colored hand. She shook her little bangs out of her face as they seemed for persistent. Then, Wendi realized exactly where she was positioned. By her half glance, she could see that she was lying on Carr's side with her hands lying near his face. Wendi moved awake as he was still asleep. She felt no need to wake him. Wendi shook her head, and disappeared into her dorm as silent as a mouse.
Wendi stared out her dew covered window in her dorm. She had been so silent, Wendi was sure that none of her dorm mates had heard her though she did notice that one was missing. However, Wendi was too tired and concerned on other matters to really even think about her missing dorm mate. There was one question to be asked and one only: Did Wendi have feelings for Carr McDuff? She didn't want to be asking herself this question, but she had too. Carr was the only person in her life right now that didn't make Wendi feel like a lost lamb. He was the only one she actually spent time to act normal around. He was the only one that seemed to care right now. But, did she really have feelings for her old friend? One that was three grade years ahead of Wendi and three years older as well. Could it be a childish crush on an older boy or was it anything at all? Was Carr asking these questions to himself as well? Wendi tapped her fingers on her bed lightly. She shook her head. And with a blink of an eye, Wendi was hard at work with a quill and parchment in hand.
Wendi held it in her hands as she finished the letter. However, this was not a letter to Jamison as intended. Nor a letter to Carr as Wendi had thought about. As strange as it sounded, this was a letter to Keith. Yes, Wendi was writing a letter to the very person she dreaded. She didn't really know where to send it. So, Wendi had no other choice than his old residence in Birmingham. She sighed sealing the dreaded envelope. Would he read it? Wendi doubted it, but she didn't really care. She was too tired and frustrated to care. She was confused and it was just time to let this stuff be known. So, Wendi spilled her guts. True, it was to the man that murdered her parents, but right now, Keith was the only one that Wendi didn;t feel bad about dropping a load onto their minds. She held it calmly in her hands as she got up. Wendi needed to send this as fast as she possibly could. She needed to get it away from her before she sided against it. So it a flash, Wendi picked up her wand and left her dorm red heart pajama bottoms and all.
Her feet barely made a sound as Wendi moved through the halls. She was so determined so ready to get this over with. This was yet another step in the long recovery process. She was trying to get over all of this and writing to Keith was just part of the process. Wendi's long blond mane laid over he tired shoulders. She was just realizing that the couch wasn't the best choice in sleeping places. She made her way as fast as was possible. This really needed to be over with. Wendi just needed to go back to her dorm and go to sleep. This time, in her bed. Wendi quickened her pace up the the owlery. Finally reaching it, Wendi climbed the dirty steps. Wendi would have to use Jami's still new owl Shea. He had received Shea after a visit to Diagon Alley. His old cat Hamlet now resided at home in London for her was too old to make the journey to Hogwarts for another year. Wendi crept up the steps as she noticed someone standing there. Ad she walked closer, she realized that it was Harmony Chan. So, she was the meaning of the empty dorm room bed. Wendi shook her head slightly just to clear her mind. She tapped the girl lightly on the shoulder. Wendi jumped backwards as Harmony was frightened. "Sorry, sorry!" Wendi exclaimed. "I didn't mean to frighten you, promise." Wendi said in her squeaky voice. "I Just didn;'t expect anyone to be up here." Wendi explained. Out of the corner of her eye, Wendi noticed Shea. "Shea, come here girl." Wendi asked Jami's owl. Noticing a familiar face, Shea came and perched herself upon Wendi shoulder's. "This is Jami's owl." She said without thinking. Wendi pondered Harmony's question. She didn't really feel like lying, so she didn't plan on it. "Um, not great, but I think things are looking up. I guess everyone feels alone at some point in their life, right?" Wendi asked without much thought in the question. "How about you, I do hope you haven't started an Early Saturday Morning Club because then, I will have to give you a crazy shot." Wendi joked in her old sense of humor. She petted Shea as she waited for Harmony to respond.

Harmony waved off Wendi’s flustered apology with a low chuckle and slowly took in her dorm mate’s appearance. Wendi was still in her cute pyjamas, and Harmony smiled a little at the sight, though Wendi also looked depressed and tired… Come to think of it, she had been like this for a while now, as far as Harmony was concerned. She didn’t talk to Wendi much, nor Sita and Ingrid who she also shared a room with, but she had definitely noticed that all three of them were recently rather subdued. Perhaps something had happened in their lives… Harmony mentally hoped something wouldn’t happen to herself too. What could possibly make her down and depressed anyway? “Oh, I didn’t expect anyone else to come here too this early on a Saturday morning.” Harmony laughed quietly, as not to alarm the owls, and watched with interest the owl that flew to Wendi. “Shea, huh? That’s a cute name.” Harmony stretched out a hand to gently stroke the owl’s head, and gave her a lopsided apologetic glance. “I’m sorry, I just gave all my treats to Ata. Ata’s my sister’s owl.” Harmony explained, and inclined her head with curiosity at the name of Jami, a name she was sure she’d heard before… “Jami…? As in… your brother, right?” Harmony did not know much about Wendi, but now that she thought about it, she recalled Wendi mentioning an older brother in Ravenclaw back in first year when they were all settling down at Hogwarts. Harmony was sure she had never met him before.
Harmony nodded slowly as she digested Wendi’s slightly gloomy words, and she felt an understanding sympathy within her at the mention of being alone. In a sense, Harmony knew what she meant. During her childhood, if it hadn’t been for Ari, Harmony’s life would have been lonely, for sure. Little her against the world. Harmony suppressed a cringe at the thought. Her childhood just kept coming back to haunt her nowadays, and not in a good way. Snippets of her father complaining about Ari for being such a bad daughter, groaning at Harmony’s patheticness and timidity, surfaced in her head regularly, and Harmony just couldn’t stop them coming. She felt a sense of dread… perhaps this was a sign of what was to come in her future. Something that involved her father, who she hadn’t seen in quite a few years, and wasn’t planning on doing so. Harmony was so sure her family was now safe, and living happily, but life always had different plans, right? Harmony hadn’t mentioned any of her thoughts to Ari, as not to worry her, but Harmony had only just begun to get over her father and the childhood she could only vaguely remember. What stood out the most for Harmony when she recalled her past was the pain. Just mere pain throbbing without a cause or reason. Flashbacks of her mother weeping scared Harmony, but memories of Ari not crying at all freaked her out even more, to the very core of her body. She barely remembered her own tears, but knew that whenever she felt alone and sad, Ari would be there. Strong. Brave. And didn’t cry. Would there be a day when even Ari couldn’t fix anything?
“I know what you mean, I think.” Harmony spoke unhurriedly as she removed herself from daydreaming about miserable thoughts, an uncertain expression on her face which was laced with sympathy. “I think I do anyway. At the moment I’m having an okay time… But I can’t say I felt the same during my childhood. Didn’t really like America much…” Harmony grimaced with a wry smile. She was sure she hadn’t mentioned to Wendi that she used to live in the US. Actually, the two girls knew barely anything about each other. Harmony felt a wave of sadness hit her, and the similar emotion of regret came with it. If only she had tried to persist in talking to the other girls that shared a room with her. She wished she would try and be friendlier, bolder, brighter. Not that she wanted to be the centre of attention; Harmony merely wished to overcome her fear of rejection from people, scared that, like in her childhood, no one would want to talk to her, and make the effort to be friends with this timid little girl that barely ever spoke and stood in the corner every day, trying to be invisible. Thankfully, Harmony had settled down into Hogwarts better than anywhere else, and it helped Ari was there, along with Aurora. Harmony felt happier than she’d ever did, and for that she was grateful, but she still wished that the feeling of loneliness would just leave, the shy little girl to disappear. Harmony wanted courage.
“Huh?” Harmony was once again pulled away from distressing thoughts as Wendi asked her in a joking way why she was up herself. Laughing softly, Harmony grinned and shrugged carelessly, “Oh, I haven’t started a club. Well, if I have, I’m the only member. Looks like you want to join me, huh?” Harmony chuckled good-humouredly, “I tend to wake up really early every morning now, including Saturdays and Sundays. I don’t know why… But it sure is refreshing. It sounds terrible, I know, but to be honest, I can have nearly the whole school to myself, and no one’s around so I can do anything I want. Being alone in this school is daunting, because of its size, but… I’m used to cruising schools alone.” Harmony gave another lopsided smile, trying not to sound too miserable, “I really enjoy it, however horrible I’m making it seem. I have time alone to think. Clear my head a bit… Anyway, why are you up this early, Wendi? Couldn’t sleep? Oh, are you sending a letter?” Harmony indicted the envelope held in Wendi’s hands, but didn’t strain to see who it was for; she wasn’t really a nosy girl. Curious, yes, but not nosy.
Harmony recalled that when she had left her dormitory, everyone except Wendi had been tucked in and sleeping soundly, and she recalled wondering absentmindedly where the blonde haired girl was. When Harmony had made her way downstairs, she had exited the common room silently, but suddenly, she remembered two figures lying asleep on a couch there, and with a jolt recollected that one of those people had been Wendi. Harmony, being half asleep at the time and her head in the clouds, had left swiftly without taking a careful glance at the couple. Come to think of it, the other person was also blonde… male… a very familiar face to Harmony. Scrunching up her face, Harmony tried to remember why this boy was so recognizable to her… Wait a minute, hadn’t she seen this person with Wendi before? The other day in the courtyard? That was it! “Carr!” Ah yes, the Hufflepuff fifth year. Harmony had met him the other day whilst taking a walk in the courtyard. Carr was a very funny, pleasant boy, and Harmony had liked him very much. He was the first older boy to have made her feel comfortable; even being around Richard had been difficult, since the situation between him, Rachel and Patrica was complicated, and made Harmony very nervous. Just seeing Patrica or him set anxiety rolling up her spine. The burden of carrying Rachel’s secret was heavy, though Harmony was not willing to give up and just tell anyone anytime. She was loyal to her friends, and even though it was difficult knowing such secrets, Rachel trusted her, and that was the end of that.
Returning to Carr and Wendi, Harmony wondered if the two of them were also more than friends, though mentally scolded herself for thinking such thoughts. She was already involved with a messy relationship, and she was not willing to pry more unless people wanted to talk to her. It was none of her business. “No wonder I didn’t see you in bed this morning.” Harmony commented to Wendi as she leaned against the wall to support herself, feeling the open window letting in a cool breeze against her exposed neck. Thank goodness she was wearing a nice thick coat. Harmony was in no mood to catch a cold. She couldn’t afford to either. “I’m sure I saw you asleep with Carr in the common room this morning. Bad night?” Harmony asked with a slight frown. It seemed Wendi did seem to be going through quite a lot, and the fatigued look on her face only backed that suspicion up. Harmony only wished that, if Carr was any help, he would be able to cheer up Wendi.

Wendi nodded as Harmony said that she hadn't expected anyone up this early in the morning either. Wendi sighed. "I've been up all night." She said yawning as she stretched her head back a bit. Wendi put her hand over her eyes for a brief moment to try and wake them up, but of course that didn't work. Wendi smiled as Harmony said the Shea was a cute name. Wendi nodded. "Yea, I named her after Jami got her in Diagon Alley over the summer. His old cat, Hamlet, was just too old to make the trip here this year. Oh, well." She sighed. "He's enjoying his Retirement with Gram and Gramps in London." Wendi said thinking back to the cranky, old cat that Jami had, had for so many years. Wendi smiled at Harmony's words about the owl treats. "Oh, this little diva is pampered enough as it is. I'm pretty sure Jami treats her like a queen. Well, I used to make him, actually." Wendi laughed lightly. Wendi nodded. "Mmm huh." She nodded saying that Jami was her brother. "Jamison, actually, but I called him Jami as a two year old and it kinda stuck." Wendi said nodding. Wendi did miss him, but she needed this break from him. She just did.
Wendi nodded as Harmony talked. The gaze of Wendi's face had a hint of sympathy in it. She hated to see people sad, upset. Harmony said she was fine now, but Wendi just liked to see people happy, normal even. But, happy wasn't really normal, was it? Wendi cracked a smile a bit. "Maybe everyone needs to feel like that sometimes." Wendi said without thinking too much. "But, I don't really know why." She commented shrugging her shoulders. Wendi was almost too tired to carry on a decent conversation, but she was at least going to try. "Mum and dad planned on moving us to America when I turned three." Wendi said absently. Her eyed bugged out for a second when she realized what she had just said. Wendi hadn't really told her dorm mates about her parents. Did anyone at Hogwarts really know? Well, of course Jami knew since in was his life as well. Wendi was pretty sure that Jamison had told Meyghan and Wendi remembered telling May and Myn somewhere along the line. But, Wendi didn't know if anyone else really new, but it was a possibility. Wendi stopped herself from saying anything else about her parents. She had to.
Wendi smiled. "Of course." She said brightly trying to talk through the tiredness. "I always join clubs no matter what they are. Well, usually." She joked lightly. Her jokes didn't make too much sense, but Wendi couldn't tell the difference. Wendi nodded. "Being alone in this school is kinda hard for me. Too many people asking too many questions. Sometimes, being alone is best I guess." I wish I could tell Jami that. She told herself. Wendi sighed. "Waking up early can be fun, I think. In London, I always wake up early so I can go out in the city. Gram lets me go alone when it's early. She says it's safer then, but I'm pretty suer she has someone watching me the whole time." Wendi said shrugging. She missed London, actually. Wendi never really saw her grandparents doing magic, but she knew they did it. She knew that in that house, she was always safe and in London, her grandparents always had someone looking out for her. But, the question was, Was that really best for Wendi?
Wendi nodded. "Yea, I stayed up all night actually, with a friend. Umm, I was supposed to write a specific person a letter, but it turned out to be a letter for someone completely different and this letter has a totally different purpose than the other one, but this will help, I think." She said nodding. Wendi looked at Shea. "Take this to Keith." Wendi said strongly. Shea made a low noise that sounded like she didn't think this was a good idea. "He won't hurt you, promise girl." Wendi calmed her. Shea made a low sound and then flew off. Wendi smiled watching her go. "I hope she'll come back okay." Wendi said out loud. Wendi showed a funny look on her face when Harmony mentioned Carr. "Umm, yea. Well, no, not bad. He was just trying to make me write to Jami." Wendi started as she sat down on the dirty Owlery floor without a thought in her mind. "But, I just couldn't.." She drifted. "And we fell asleep. I'm sure it looked quite..umm odd.." Wendi said trying to act calm. She sighed. "I wonder how many other people saw us.." She said absently.

Harmony gave a sympathetic smile as Wendi said she had stayed up all night. She herself had not noticed, having, as usual, been the first one into bed and fast asleep; she knew she couldn’t handle not having enough shut-eye. Harmony laughed lightly at Wendi’s words, and nodded as she talked about Jami, “My sister just said to me ‘that’s life for you’.” Harmony commented with a sad, though confused, smile. “So yeah, I agree that everyone needs to feel like that sometimes. It’s kind of inevitable, really. I don’t know why that is either, but we’ll have to take it as it comes.” Harmony echoed Wendi’s shrug, and her expression changed to one of surprise as the other Hufflepuff mentioned she had almost moved to America. Harmony knew very little about any of her dorm mates’ personal lives, especially Wendi, who never talked about her family save her older brother, and this information came as a revelation. Watching Wendi’s expression, Harmony decided not to pry further about the subject, though she was fascinated, and smiled reassuringly, “Really? We moved to America when I was two. I came back here when I was about… seven, I think. I’m enjoying life back here in England.” Harmony spoke honestly, though refrained from going into further detail about her sordid past.
Harmony noticed that Wendi looked worn out, but they continued to talk, and she remembered that Wendi had had barely any sleep. Harmony listened quietly to her friend talking, and wondered if they should return to their dormitory soon. She could feel the cold from the outside seeping steadily into the Owlery, and she was starting to shiver a little. It was a wonder Wendi wasn’t freezing in her pyjamas. “I live in London too.” Harmony managed to smile through her thoughts, “Ari doesn’t ever let me go out alone though without accompaniment.” She chuckled and shrugged helplessly, knowing how protective her sister could be. She didn’t mind just yet, but one day she’d like to feel independent enough to stand on her own two feet. Harmony watched in silence as Wendi explained about the letter and gave Shea strict instructions. Although the owl looked reluctant at its mistress’ demands, Wendi managed to calm her before she flew off, disappearing soon into the distance as Atalanta had done so minutes before. Where would Ata be now?
Harmony was confused to why Wendi had to write to Jami when they could see and talk to one another during school time, but didn’t ask. The cold and Wendi’s fatigue were catching onto her even, but Harmony knew she would not go back to sleep today. Perhaps she could get back to that book or write something… There weren’t any big pieces of homework for once, for which she was glad of. Harmony gave a low giggle and smiled comfortingly at Wendi, “It did look a little strange… But I wasn’t surprised. Carr seems close to you. He seems to really care.” Harmony spoke honestly, thinking back on her conversation with Carr. It had been a strange day, that one. “I’m sure barely anyone saw you two. How many people would get up this early on a Saturday morning regularly? I’m just weird.” Harmony laughed her embarrassment off, not really caring if Wendi thought her strange. She had never been one to worry about what others thought, but still tried to be kind to everyone. Yep, she was just plain weird.
Harmony gave another shudder as Wendi continued to talk (Harmony was surprised she could keep it up in her state), which she tried to restrain, but realised she’d freeze if they continued this conversation. Also, Harmony was afraid that she was making her companion even more tired, and concerned about her well being, she decided to take action, though was apprehensive about seizing control of the situation, as she didn’t want to appear like she was bossy. The last thing Harmony could be was bossy. However, if she was making Wendi really tired and cold, that would have to be remedied. One had to know when to stop, right? “Hey, why don’t we get out of here now? Is it just me or is it a little cold?” Harmony suggested with a chatter of teeth and a wry grin at Wendi, then eyeing her friend up and down with a frown, “Are you not freezing? Do you want my coat? We don’t want you to catch a cold now, do we? It’s easy to do so when you’re so tired and feeling weak.”
