Jacob dragged his heels up the path towards the castle, the night air was cold and painful. Jacob had just been up in the owleary sending a letter to his father, who had been busy attend a meeting, with fudge the Minster of magic. Ever since Voldemort’s death his father has been more interested in his work than usual, and now he even found time to spend with Jacob. Jacob had reached the oak doors to the castle, and pushed them open the heat from inside hit his face, and nearly knocked him over ’Back at last’ he thought to himself entering the warmth of the entrance hall.

Solaro was running as fast as she could. She had forgotten to hand in her essay on wood imps. She span round when she thought she heard her name, stumbled backwards and bumped into a boy. A boy in her year, a Slytherin boy. She dropped her homework and bent down to pick it up. Ever so slowly she straightened up to look the boy in the eye. "ehm hi, sorry..."

Solaro was kicking herself. Did she have homework. If this boy didn't have homework then, would she. "ehm... I have home work for care of magical creatures, do you?" She hoped his face would light up in a big smiley grin and say 'yes I have homework I have just come back from handing it in' in a nice friendly voice, but then again she shouldn't be to hopeful. He was a Slytherin.
