Attacks. Attacks. Attacks. Alastor growled at some kid who was supposedly a new auror trainee. These children looked younger every time Alastor came here. Cardiff. Aberdeen. Portsmouth. So many attacks and NOTHING being done to repell or capture those at fault. Not that there was any doubt as to who was behind all the attacks. Alastor frowned and the trainee scurried away almost running. Certainly Alastor wasn’t able to compete with male models with his magical eye, scars from various battles and the chunk missing from his nose. If the aurors were this cowardly, then who could they be expected to fight Death Eaters? And Death Eaters weren’t known for giving mercy.
*POP* sounded and a moment later Alastor was gone form the Ministry. Gripping his wand he made sure the appartment he resided in right now was safe. It took a good quarter of an hour before Alastor was satisfied with the security. Only then did Alastor pulled out a slip of paper careful and smoothened it out. The information on it was simple. Just a few numbers and words. But the information was vital. Alastor had sent a message to all other members of the Order of the Phoenix that were reachable. Tonks, Molly and Arthur, Remus. Perhaps it would suffice. He had sent a summoning to all of them. Alastor stared into his spy-mirror thoughtfully. Years of training was what gave him patience and enough self-control to appear absolutely calm. This was a delicat situation that required a clear mind. Too much was at steak here to let yourself slip with even the slightest things.
Alastor growled impatiently. For success everything had to be puncutal, accurate and carefully planned. But it was still as nerve-wrecking as it had been before Alastor’s first mission as an auror. A mind-picture... screams... the smell of burning flesh... a woman crying... Alastor growled and pushed the memory back into his mind. This was no time to dwell over that. Once more a *POP* sounded and Alastor found himself in Three Broomsticks. „Ah, Alastor, can I get you something to drink?“ Rosmerta asked jovially as he wiped the counter. „No, thank you, Rosmerta,“ Alastor grunted patting the flask form where he always drank from on his hip, „I would appreciate a private room here.“ „Of course. Fourth floor, the rooms there are empty,“ RosmertaTom answered coming up with the key and handing it to Alastor who merely grunted in responce before turning and stomping towards the stairs. Alastor checked the room he had been directed to. He was sure Rosmerta kept her bar safe, but you had to be on guard. Constant vigilance was what kept you alive.
Alastor raised his wand and starting placing wards on the room. Against people listening, against anyone entering without his wand shooting off red sparks. Thanks to Pettigrew Alastor made sure that not even a bug could enter the room without notice not to mention rats and mice. Finally being satisfied with the room Alastor checked his watch. The others he had invited here should come soon. There wasn’t any time to waste. They would get together, make sure everyone knew the basics, regroup and then it was time to make a counter-strike.

Remus was sitting in the large and over-crowded room of Hogwarts that was the hospital wing. The numerous attacks the Death Eaters had performed in Diagon had left all too many residing here. He sighed loudly as he went over the attacks in his head, something needed to be done. It seemed as though the Order was simply sitting around, watching as the Death Eaters attacked viciously. Remus did not completely understand why the Order was not in full action, murder was not a thing to be reckoned with. Thoughts raced through his mind and his head begin to droop, he was tired and worn from the war at hand.
An owl through the the infirmary window and landed in front of Remus, pecking his hand until he awoke. He looked down and saw the owl, reaching over to untie the note from his tiny claw. Yawning graciously, Remus opened the note and read, it was from Alastor. It was as if Mad Eye had been reading his thoughts because he was calling a much needed meeting for order members.
Remus jumped to his feet and ran through the hospital wing, an agitated Pomfrey glaring at him. He ran from the castle and then disappeared with a small *POP* Moments later he appeared in the Three Broomsticks where Madame Rosmerta was wiping the counters and a few old men were drinking and chatting quietly. He turned to Rosmerta, "Alastor, is he here," he asked quietly to her. She told him where she had sent Mad Eye and Remus quickly headed toward his direction.
Reaching the door Remus paused for a moment, he did not want to alarm Alastor. He pulled out his wand and held it to his side before tapping on the door, somehow he knew that Mad Eye had enchanted the room in every way possible. He stood quietly and anxiously as he waited for Alastor to answer the door.

Molly had been so busy lately, with trying to keep the Burrow clean, visiting the children in the Hospital Wing at Hogwarts, and trying to tidy up Grimmauld Place, that she had made herself very tired. Molly was home at the Burrow, once more. She had been trying to get things ready in case the children got able to come home. She had even made room for Hermione, just in case she wanted to stay with them. Molly was still having trouble believing that the Death Eaters had been strong enough to do so much damage at Diagon Alley. It had been a shock to the entire wizarding community.
Molly had just sat down at the kitchen table when an owl flew through the window. Molly had been expecting the owl, since she had security charms placed around the Burrow, for everyones safety. The owl landing on the table right in front of Molly, and she took a moment to examine the bird thinking that she might recognize it. But the owl didn't give her much time to try that, it stuck it's foot out and started pecking on her hand. Molly obliged the owl, and took the letter off of it's foot. Opening the letter, she understood every word it contained and completely agreed with it. She nodded to the owl, gave it a treat, and sent it back out the window.
Molly quickly grabbed her wrap, and prepared to leave the Burrow. She made sure that everything was sealed tightly, and secured once more. Then there was a *pop* heard and Molly had made her way to the Three Broomsticks. Greeting Rosemerta, she politely asked " Have you seen Alastor Moody lately?" Rosemerta politely nodded and pointed up the stairs, with a smile on her face. " Thank you, Rosemerta." Molly replied as she took off up the stairs.
As Molly began to near the door Rosemerta had pointed her toward, she noticed a figure standing outside of the door. A closer look and she noticed it was Remus. " Hello, Remus. I do hope that we aren't the only ones that show up for the meeting." Molly said in a worried tone. She too, had pulled her wand out of her bag, and now held it at her side. There was no doubt that Moody had already began to charm the room for security.

Arthur ran his fingers through his hair distractedly. There had been so many attacks and yet the Death Eaters weren't satisfied yet. He had just gotten notice of all the attacks that had happened. Auror's had been summoned there to attack the Death Eaters head on. He sighed and stood up to pace around his office at the Ministry. Everyone was in chaos and not one person was looking stressed. Arthur blinked a few times and used his fist to ground the sleep from his eyes. How much he wished for his bed and a much welcome night of dreamless sleep. He breathed in and breathed out slowly, trying to get his mind to function properly. It was no time to be wishing for sleep. He had to do something....but the office Arthur held had nothing to do with fighting Death Eaters. He sighed and sat back in his chair, putting his hands behind his head in what would be a comfortable fashion. Instead, Arthur couldn't help but think of all the people who had died or were severely injured at St. Mungo's.
An owl swooped in Arthur's open door and landed on his desk with a clatter, causing several ink bottles to go smashing to the floor. It gave him a terrible scare but once he saw that it was just an owl, Arthur breathed more freely. He gave a weary smile and took the note from the owl's out-stretched leg. It flew off as soon as it had done it's job, not even accepting the treat Arthur had been rummaging to find. He unrolled the note and read it over twice before rolling it back up with a grim expression on his face. Moody wanted the Order to meet up at the Three Broomsticks. It was short but to the point. As always, Alastor was on top of things. Snatching his wand, Arthur walked out of the door and through the Ministry, trying not to catch a glance. The Minister was sure to understand why Arthur had to go. If he even noticed. Arthur picked up his pace quickly. He had to get to the main hall to Apparate. Pushing the letter inside his cloak pocket, Arthur reached the main hall and turned to do Apparation.
The Three Broomsticks wasn't exactly busy. A few students here and there were drinking and enjoying the day, care-free. Arthur gazed at them wistfully for a moment before strolling up to Rosmerta to see which room Moody had decided on. "Hello Rosmerta. Could you tell me where Alastor Moody's room is?" Arthur asked courteously. He wondered if she would object because of all the attacks but instead she pointed up the stairs. "Fourth floor. Two other people came by. Both were looking for him too. You'll see them up there I'm sure." "Thank you." Arthur replied before going up the stairs two at a time. The fourth floor was completely empty except for two people who were standing by a closed door. Arthur recognized them immediately as Remus and Molly. Striding over to them, Arthur stood near the door that was closed.
"I'm guessing that Moody is inside?" he asked as he looked at the door. Probably full of enchantments by now, knowing Mad Eye. He smiled grimly, fingered his wand in his pocket, and waited impatiently for the door to open and allow them entry.

Molly heard someone walking up the stairs, and turned to look. As the figure got a little closer she was finally able to recognize that it was her husband, Arthur. " Hello, dear. You look tired." She said as he came up to where she and Remus were standing. She was worried about being able to fend off the next attack. But she thought that it would take more than the four of them to do it.
Molly didn't know if the others would make it on time, or if the four of them would even make it to the planned attack site on time. Something doesn't seem right. Everyone should have recieved the same message that we did. Molly thought to herself. She had been having that feeling ever since she had arrived. She thought that she might just be over worrying herself, but then again, she wasn't so sure.
" Should we knock again? Maybe he didn't hear us." Molly said to the others as they waited on Alastor to open the door. She knew that as long as Alastor was in the room, that none of them should dare to just open the door and walk in. That would be too dangerous. Moody was sure to know that they were there by now. He probably already had a three to five minute warning from each of them.

Alastor was setting the last ward on the room watching as bright-red glowing bars slowly slid down from the ceiling all around the room. Alastor didn’t want any unexpected guests suddenly showing up. A knock came onto the door and Alastor’s magical eye whirled that way. Lupin, Molly and a moment later Arthur joined them. Alastors wand didn’t waver. It would be no good if the ward wasn’t perfect and properly finished. Others had knocked but didn’t enter yet. Which earned them a grunt from Alastor.
Finally the ward was finished and Alastor stomped to the girl wrenching it open carelessly. He had already scanned Remus, Molly and Arthur with his magical eye but he raised his wand and casted an identifying spell on each of them. A red aura was visible around them for a moment and Alastor grunted with satisfaction. “Don’t point that stick of wood at me!” Alastor growled furiously as his magical eye saw one wand raising to cast the same charm on him as well. At least they were careful. Alastor raised his wand and growling the charm out once again tapped his head. His aura glowed red as well before Alastor turned and moved back inside.
“Close the ruddy door properly,” Alastor growled as he took a seat in one of the armchairs with his back towards the wall and his magical eye whirling around as he kept close watch on the surroundings. Glaring at the others with his normal eye Alastor finally growled out: “I have some information from our agent.” Alastor didn’t mention Severus’s name. He still didn’t completely trust the man, but at the same time he didn’t trust anyone completely. “The universities were attacked. We need to make sure the kids and Hogwarts is protected. The Hogwarts Express is very vulnerable too, we need to come out with a plan to protect it. I can get a couple of aurors and old friends to help with this. But we need to coordinate our actions.”

Arthur nodded at Molly. "Very." he replied with a wry smile. He didn't even bother to explain his words. With the Ministry in an uproar everyone there must have been tired and stressed. Arthur pressed a finger to his temple to ease the pain in his head for a few moments. It felt relaxing and yet it made more pain erupt around him. He sighed before glancing back at the door. How long was Moody going to take to open it? He frowned and scanned the hallway. Still no one there and no noises were heard. Apparently they had the whole floor to themselves. He knew that Moody would have wanted this. He smiled before turning back to the door again which hadn't been moved. Finally, it opened to reveal Moody. He instantly did the identifying spell which didn't surprise him. Arthur raised his wand to do the same but dropped it to his side when Moody growled at him. Instead, he did it on himself before walking back inside to prove he was the real Moody. Arthur nodded at the others before walking in. Moody growled another order but Arthur took no notice; he had been the first of the three to enter so he didn't need to worry about the door. Sitting in an armchair close to Moody, Arthur relaxed his grip slightly on his wand.
"Yes, I know about the University's. The Ministry is in chaos as we speak." he shook his head and leaned back in the chair. Moody seemed to want to do something quickly and Arthur agreed. The only thing to figure out is what to do. He frowned deeply as he thought it over. The kids and Hogwarts are safe at the moment but that moment could be a short one. After all, the Death Eaters had gotten into Hogwarts before. He sighed, knowing that they could do it again. As for the train, Arthur hadn't really thought of it much but it would have been a good plan to protect that also. Just in case. He brought his thoughts back to the matter at hand as he rubbed his chin thoughtfully. Moody seemed to know a plan that they could put into action. He gazed at him for a few moments before shaking his head once more.
"There might not be many people to spare for our job, Alastor. Everyone's so busy with rebuilding Diagon Alley and now these attacks.... But, I'm sure there will be some. After all, the Minister has to consider Hogwarts as a huge ordeal. Perhaps we could have Members on every section or so on the bus? That may help against some Death Eaters but if they all gather to hit it...." He sighed deeply. The Death Eaters were completely unpredictable. He looked around at the others before turning back to Moody again. "What are your thoughts on the matter?" he asked, speaking to the room at large. He knew that they needed to come up with a plan, and soon, but they had to think it through carefully also.

Molly had been quiet since they had all entered the room. She had been trying to think of a way to protect the children. She knew that certain ones of the children that would be on the train would be able to assist in any attack that might happen, but she didn't think that they would be enough. She had thought about the professors, what if they were able to be on board the train to help.
" What if, and remember this is just a thought, some of the professors such as Rubeus, and Minerva and a few select others were on the train. I know that some of the teachers have to stay at the school, but there are enough professors that some could be on board the train to watch over the students. That would add to the number of people on board to protect it." Molly suggested to everyone.
Molly didn't know how her idea would be accepeted or even if the others would think that it could work, but she had to give it a shot. There had to be more wizards and witches out there willing to fight He Who Must Not Be Named, and the Death Eaters

Alastor grunted when Arthur said that the ministry was chaos. He had been called back to duty to assist the aurors. The new kids were properly unprepared. They shouldn’t be sent out to certain death against the Death Eaters. They weren’t ready. Some of them seemed to have mothers milk on their lips still. “I will be able to get some people,” Alastor grunted in response. He still had connections in the Ministry. He could call on a few favors owed to him. His old friends would help too. At least those of his friends who were still alive. That number wasn’t very big. But the surviving ones were the best there were.
His beady black eye shifted on to Molly. Professors guarding the train. It would mean that the Order members would have some spare time to handle the security of other places. Wouldn’t scare the kids that much either. They were used to professors, while seeing Aurors on the train might alert them. Then they would be constantly in the way where they were not needed. “It would give us time to deal with other pressing matters,” Alastor growled out with his still staring at Molly, “Professors could be discipline easier. Constant vigilance! That’s what the kids need. They lack vigilance.”
Finalyl shifting his eye from Molly Alastor scanned the room again. His wand shoot off red sparks and Alastor yelled „STUPEFY!“ immidiately seeing something moving by the window. Watching as a late butterfly floated to the ground, obviously dead, Alastor merely grunted in dissatisfaction. Rosmerta would not like it if he left it there after they were finished. But his ward held. It had been good check up on the wards. But Alastor didn’t lower his guard over the room none the less.

Molly did agree that the students should be prepared for anything that might happen in case they were in the middle of an attack. Even though this was true it made her nervous, for two of those children that were going to be on the train were hers, and no matter how well trained they were, it didn’t stop her. Molly thought that Harry should have continued to train the students, but Harry had wished not too. The students would be more prepared if the Ministry would allow someone like Harry to train them, and show them what to expect, but she knew that would be hopeless.
“ The children would be less afraid, and the teachers a little more prepared, than the students alone. And if that’s not enough a few of the order members could help out. I, for one, would be able to. Unless something else happens and my help is needed there.” Molly said offering her services if they would be needed.

Bill padded up the steps in his dragon hide boots as he looked down the hallway. If he knew Moody, he had taken every single precaution known to wizarding kind to protect the meeting that was going on in one of these rooms. Of course, Bill hoped for nothing less. Half of his family was in the Order, and that thought constantly played on Bill's imagination. Just the night before, he had a horrible dream where he saw his poor mother cornered by a dementor. He pointed his wand at the creature, and nothing happened. It all happened in slow motion, his mouth would open, but no sound would come out. He could hear his mother screaming, and a man's laughter coming from behind him. The dementor began to turn around, but at that point, Fleur had shaken him awake. He had fallen asleep on the couch in his apartment, and she had heard him talking in his sleep through the door. Worried, she had broken the lock and let herself in.
Finally arriving at the door that Rosmerta had pointed him towards, Bill stared at the door for a moment. He was not really sure what to do. Bill new that Mad Eye had probably enchanted the door in some way, and he really didn't want to take the chance in losing a hand by knocking. However, he really didn't see any other way to announce his presence. Shifting uncomfortably on his feet, Bill raised his fist and knocked on the door

Alastor merely grunted. Molly sounded worried, but that was understandable. She had two kids going to Hogwarts. One had to be on your guard. If you let your guard down for one moment you could pay a too expensive price for it. Alastor’s grip on his wand tightened as he recalled the year when he had been expected to teach in Hogwarts. Alastor’s wand shot off a yellow spark making Alastor’s magical eye whirl towards the wall. Someone had just stepped onto the 4th floor. His magical eye concentrated on Molly’s and Arthur’s son. Bill Weasley came down the hallway and a bit of hesitation knocked on the door. Alastor scanned the boy thoroughly with her magical eye. He seemed to be alright so Alastor grunted and stood.
Limping to the door Alastor pulled it open and with his wand already raised casted an identifying charm on Bill. When that turned out alright as well, Alastor turned and returned to his seat. “I will be seeing Dumbledore later. I’ll talk to him about sending professors to the train. I think you as parents would not be the best choice,” Alastor grunted out curtly. Maybe it would hurt Molly’s feelings but they needed someone whose first priority wouldn’t be their own children on the train, “Remus shouldn’t rise suspicion as he has been a professor. He can take along Bill.” Alastor grunted in response to Molly. Bill would most probably rush to protect his brother and sister too. But he was still young. Alastor expected him to be as unexperienced as the new aurors who hadn’t entered training yet were. By the best scenario nothing would happen to the train one way or the other. Alastor always assumed the worst.

Remus walked into the room and stood quietly to the side, his arms folded over his chest. He stood casually listening to the ideas of the other Order members. He did not know exactly what to think of all that had happened recently, not knowing exactly what to say in his current situation.
He frowned slightly when Alastor brought up Snape, he did not trust the man and he did not have the slightest idea why Albus did either. To him it was apparent that he was a slimy git still loyal to the Dark Lord. However, he kept his mouth shut and continued to listen.
He listened as they talked about the train and protecting the students, Remus coughed slightly and then spoke, "Alastor is right, we should have order members on the train as well as professors," he said seriously. The protection of the students was more that important and deserved utmost attention at this time. He ran his hand through his thick brown hair, "Bill and I will stand guard on the train," he confirmed.
He leaned back against the wall without saying much more, he just wanted to listen for now. He was not exactly sure how he felt things should be acted upon as of yet.

Bill gave a surprise as Mad Eye opened the door abruptly. Raising an eyebrow, Bill walked into the room. Giving a quick kiss on the cheek to his mother, he walked across the room and lounged against the far wall. He could feel the heat from the windows beside him as he listened to the conversation. As Moody brought up security on the train, Bill nodded his head in agreement. " Security is most definitely an issue on the train. The train is a sitting duck out in the countryside like that. Count me in. I'll come up with some excuse for the goblins. They have been working everyone overtime since the attack. They are wanting to account for everything that was in the vaults before they reopen."
Changing the topic, Bill continued. " Have we thought about any kind of security for the rest of the wizarding shopping districts? I mean, none of the other ones are as big as Diagon, but there are still places here and there. I know there is that little place in Birmingham, and there is always Hogsmeade. I would just hate for students to be shopping one weekend and Death Eaters decide to attack. Most of those kids have been through enough as is what with the attack at the end of the school year last year. Having we considered having people in Hogsmeade during the weekends when students are allowed to visit?"

Remus listened as Bill agreed to patrol the train as well. That was going to be a good move on the Orders part. However, when Bill began to speak of allowing students to enter Hogsmeade, Remus jumped from the wall and began to get very angry, "You cant be telling me you actually believe they should be allowed in Hogsmeade... or any OTHER shopping area for that matter?!? Do you not understand how BIG of a risk that is," he shouted pointing his finger at Bill.
He took in a few deep breathes and then lowered his finger. He was not angry with Bill, he just wanted to make sure that the students safety was put first. He opened his mouth again and spoke, "I don't believe that it would be too great of an idea to let the students visit Hogsmeade this year, at least until we can completely secure the area." He crossed his arms again and leaned back against the wall casually, allowing the others to respond to his thoughts.

Bill was a bit surprised as Remus jumped on him about Hogsmeade. Letting the moment pass, Bill decided to continue to assert his opinion on the subject. " Remus, how are we really going to stop them? Yes, we can have the weekend trips cancelled, but do you really think that will stop all students from visiting the city? No, it won't. We are talking about a bunch of teenagers, and we know there are entrances and exits into that castle other than the front doors. If we keep a bunch of teenagers under lock and key, they will find ways to get out. I'm suggesting that maybe a controlled situation is a bit better. I personally don't want The Daily Prophet slandering the school's name because two teenagers decide to go on a midnight romp into the village and get themselves hurt. There is no reason to get defensive about it."
Bill really didn't feel like arguing this with Remus, and he wasn't about too. He had the student's best interest at heart as well. For god sakes, his brother and sister were there! If he knew both of siblings, if they felt that they must adventure outside the castle walls, they would. Bill new from experience that it was hard to patrol every entrance in and out of Hogwarts. He could distinctly remember one night when he was caught by McGonogall sneaking out of the castle through the passage under the One Eyed Witch. Looking at Lupin, he continued. "If you honestly think it is a bad idea for the students to leave the castle, then we will need to find a way to keep all the ways in and out under lock and key."

Remus slumped a little when Bill began to speak. He knew that he was right, while in theory it would be more safe to keep them from going that was never going to work. He uncrossed his arms and leaned against a small table by the wall, "You're right," he sighed, "It would be stupid to try and keep them all there, better to have them supervised than sneaking out." He hesitated momentarily before speaking again, "Im sorry for snapping at you, I just want to make sure the students, especially Harry, are as safe as possible. I forgot that's that is what you want too."
He knew that he had gotten carried away, he wanted to keep Harry safe and alive. Harry was the closest thing Remus had to James anymore and he did not want to lose him as well. He held his hand out to Bill for an apology shake, he needed to remember that they were all on the same side.

Alastor listened to the relatively petty squabble between Bill and Lupin with only rising irritation. Youngsters didn’t think at all. Alastor decided to let them argue. His lip and face turned into an angry and irritted grimace, but Alastor controlled his tongue and didn’t make a sound. Finally the two boys seemed to come to an understanding and Alastor snapped. „Are you two kids done with proving to each other who is a better man, now? This isn’t a place nor time for petty arguements. This is serious! If you two fail to understand it, perhaps you should leave. Are you sure you are good enough to be able to keep discipline? Deciding on your behavior you two should be sent back to school yourselves and not as guardians or teachers!“ Alastor growled furiously at the two boys with a tight grip on his wand as he pointed it to both in turn as if if to prove his point, „This is a time to grow up. Don’t forget who you and your companions right now are!“
Alastor took a deep breath and turned to Arthur and Molly: „You are bound to know that Hogsmeade has been under Aurors surveilance 24/7. I’ve stood guard for a few times here myself. I can assure you that older and completely trained aurors are used to guard Hogsmeade. But we need to discuss Hogwarts. Does either of you have any suggestions about some more security for Hogwarts? I am supposed to talk to Albus about it later on.“ Quieting Alastor let his eyes once again travel over the room as he expectantly waited for any thoughts Molly and Arthur might have.

Molly was somewhat relieved that Alastor agreed that there should be good security on the train. It almost seemed as if he understood her worries. She was even okay with the fact that her and Arthur shouldn't be on the train. " Maybe a couple of Order members could help out with the school's security. I could visit as often as needed, and there are already some Order members in the school. We might also be able to talk Harry into reassembling the DA, and get them trained a bit more so that they could help with it as well." Molly made her suggestions quickly.
Molly didn't know what to say about the argument that Bill and Remus had just carried between the two of themselves. They were both right. " There's no way that we are going to stop the children from going. Bill's right there. Therefore, our only option seems to be that we make sure that security is the best it can get. Isn't that right Alastor." Molly knew that Hogsmeade had the best that the Ministry could offer, but she felt that there could be a little extra security there. Harry was after all like a son to her. She did care for him the same that she cared for all of her children.

„It’s decided then. And yes, we can go to patrols in the Hogwarts castle. We just have to co-ordinate the patrols so everybody wouldn’t rush over at the same time.“ Alastor grunted as the thought about what Dumbledore might think of this. He didn’t like strangers in the school. But security was important and to keep his students safe Dumbledore would agree. Some teachers could be added to the patrols as well. There were a few who were rather capable of such work. „I shall talk to Albus about all of this later on today. This is all for now I think. I have to get back to work.“
Standing Alastor withdrew his wand and concetrated, taking off the protective wards one by one with the birds singing outside becoming hearable as wards slowly came off.
