“Oh will you hush up! Who is team leader here? You or me?” Narcissa snapped at Yaxley who was once more whining about what he entitled his “minor” role in the breakout of her husband. As if moaning would allow him to escape his role as “Giant Keeper” – basically he kept the giant in check until the time to use them was at hand. She then turned to the rest of the team assembled – already exasperated with Yaxley – that’s not a great start. In the tent were Fenrir Greyback, Travers, and Yaxley while their four giants were off doing… something – Narcissa didn’t really care what – a short distance further down the cliff.
The group had been camping out the last two days just plotting and awaiting this night – the night of the full moon – to finally give Cissa what she had been waiting so long for – her husband back. The university attacks should just be finishing up now – evidence of that came direct from the prison. Guards were rushing to and fro oblivious to the concealed Death Eaters sitting on the cliff in a hidden tent listening to them scramble about.
Word from the guards was that all ministry personnel were down there trying to sort things out and half the guards that usually swarmed the prison like maggots in a festering carcass were being sent as well. That was exactly what the Death Eaters were trying for – have them send their pitiful excuse for law enforcement to save a bunch of muggle students so The Dark Lord could swell his ranks with two more loyal servants who had been unjustly locked away. Narcissa was aghast that such mudblood loving filth would dare even lay hands on her husband – but then times had changed. By the grace of the heavens though – the tide was turning back in the favour of wizards – real wizards with real wizard history and real wizard blood.
“Ok. It’s time to go.” Narcissa said in sudden hushed tones as she heard two guards approach overhead. She, Greyback, and Travers each scaled the rest of the cliff while Yaxley went to get the giants ready for the demolition of that horrid place – full of injustices. With a quick sweep of her elegant hand Narcissa motioned the others wait on the side until she got them and crept up – her hand on a dagger. Her wand may be her greatest weapon but Narcissa was no stranger to the use and advantages of a physical blade. She didn’t want to risk the spell not working and getting caught if she tried using Avada as a non-verbal spell but she wouldn’t risk even muttering it lest there was anybody else nearby. Approaching silently behind the chattering pair she promptly slit the throat of the nearest but didn’t even bother to watch him fall – she had to deal with the other first.
The guards lying in the ground like the heap of nothings they were Narcissa did a quick check that the coast was clear before she motioned the other two join her as she pulled out the wands of the guards. A quick Priori Incantatem revealed that one had just been used to warm up a cookie – a good sign – shows not all magic at least is prevented on the premises. The other had been used to lock the doors to the building – a relatively simple charm had been used at that.
Travers went ahead and dealt with a few others wandering around before the two others got to the doors. Narcissa used the confiscated wand and reversed the charm forcing the doors to this “impregnable” prison to swing open before four Death Eaters and four giants because the others had apparently meet with little enough resistance to arrive at the doors before them.
Once inside they all went their separate ways – Greyback towards the main intelligence centre where he could wreak havoc as soon as the sun set – not long off at that point by their calculations. Yaxley and his mates went down to the lowest cells on the other side of the prison – away from Lucius and MacNair. There they could shake the core and draw the guards even further from the isolation cells at Narcissa’s signal. Travers on the other hand was sent off toward the main cells where he would provoke riot amongst the prisoners and release a few of them so the last remaining guards will be forced to abandon their posts. While it was every other Death Eater’s job to cause as much a ruckus as possible Narcissa was to use cunning and stealth.
As team leader it was her responsibility to get down to the isolated cells where Lucius and MacNair were being held under heavy guard. Hopefully if all else worked out though she would have far fewer to play with. She swept through the halls stealthily avoiding known checkpoints and the people patrolling the halls – as much as she would have loved to “deal” with them she knew that may raise too much suspicion in her area and blow the whole operation. A good half hour later Narcissa had arrived just outside the guarded area that kept her husband.
She knew the sun was just setting and withdrew two wands – her own and the one that had been used on the door. With a tap from the other wand her handle glowed slightly blue and chilled in her palm. The wands of the others would do the same and they would know the time to attack was finally at hand. Sure enough she felt the ground beneath her feet begin to shake and the walls rattled. Everyone in sight began to panic and she heard them being ordered away toward both the other side of the dungeons and up to the area where the prisoners had suddenly broken free and were attacking everything in sight – including the building and each other.
Finally all she could see were the two who had stayed behind to watch the entry but she could only assume there were still the regular four in there since she hadn’t seen them emerge. A quick look around assured her all others were out of earshot and she pointed her wand at the nearest, “Avada Kedavra”. The other spun round as his partner fell and sent a brilliant flash of blue light at her. Narcissa got out of the way before using Avada on him as well – not risking crucio lest someone step out to check what was going on.
Stepping over the corpses Cissa crossed daintily through the threshold only to bowl over someone who was indeed venturing to discover the cause of the commotion outside – hoping to win a three-sickle bet with his partner. Her dagger took care of him swiftly before she looked for the others. Three green lights flashed from her wand in quick succession and hit their marks squarely. Finding Lucius first Narcissa tossed him one of the wands trusting him to know how to open the cell and went off in search of MacNair. Down two corridors she found him and passed the other wand over. In a matter of seconds the three were speeding down the halls without a word toward the main entrance – sending spells everywhere in case anybody happened to be lurking about.
As soon as they passed into the night air Narcissa paused to perform the same spell as before – calling the other Death Eaters out and back to their encampment where it would be possible to apparate again. She knew that in his transformed state Greyback would not heed her but that was of no consequence – he and each of the giants had a time activated portkey on them so that they would be pulled back to the Death Eater village – willingly or no.
Five loud bangs took place as the two Malfoys, MacNair, Travers, and Yaxley apparated back to where The Dark Lord awaited. Within the prison guards were baffled as suddenly the five creatures they had been battling fiercely – four giants and a werewolf – vanished into seeming thin air. The prison was left in shambles – prisoners running about, walls crumbling, and freshly made werewolves caught on the brink of death struggled to breath.
