Hi Mummy,
You were right OWLS is probably the worst thing I’ve ever experienced, worse even than when Fred let me eat those fire peppers that looked like chocolates when I was six. I’ve spent most my time so far in the library until Madam Pince kicks the OWL students out, then I usually stay up till well past midnight every night doing homework. Weekends aren’t any better, I’ve had to spend my entire weekends inside working and reading. Well I’m pushing myself pretty hard, but I want to have a couple days off for Halloween. Has Ron told you yet!? They’re having a Halloween festival in the Great Hall this year. They told us we should wear a costume, Susan Bones says she isn’t going to though, but I think I better wear one just in case. Anyway, I was thinking of going as an angel, so do you still have that old white dress you wore to daddy’s promotion dinner a few years ago? If you do can you please send that to me, I think I can make it shorter to fit me, or if I can’t I’m sure Hermione can. The rest of the costume I’ll make myself. I’ve already got the halo, I’m using a small tree branch I found by the lake, I put a charm on it so it’s now bent in a circle and I’ll ask Hermione if she knows how to change it’s color to a golden color. My wings are just some old pillows professor Flitwick let me use, I changed them into a feather shapes.
How’s daddy doing with work? Has there been anything new about you-know-who? Most people here don’t seem to be too nervous about it, of course they’ve also never had to face Death Eaters either. Well I do need to go, I have to go get some more books from the library, Madam Pince told me she’ll hold the book for me for only a couple hours then she’ll give it to someone else so I must hurry. Give all my love to daddy, Percy, Fred, George, Bill and Charlie.
Love,
Ginny
P.S. Can you please send me some of my socks from my drawer in my room? I think Fred or George put an itching hex on the socks I brought with me, I’ve had to borrow other people’s socks the last few days.
