Annabella pulled her coat tighter against her, as she wandered the grounds in search of something, to do. She was really bored and had began to wander around, no real destination in mind. She had been through the castle and then outside, through the gardens and the courtyard. She was now just coming from the quidditch pitch still bored, and still wandering.
None of her friends were available to do anything as they, were either doing homework or had other plans. She sighed quietly as she stopped walking and looked around, the snow that covered everything from the ground to the trees, made it look like a winter wonderland. Her gaze turned towards the lake and she smiled. Yes...that's where she would go, down to the lake.
So without hesitation she began to walk in the direction of the lake, maybe she would just chill there for a while. Maybe somebody she knew would come by, or maybe somebody new. She liked meeting new people, she came to a stop and crossed her arms over her chest, as she looked out at the crystal clear water.

The snow had been falling and it covered the ground in a nice layer. Zeak loved the sound of snow crunching under his feet and so he had wrapped himself in some warm clothes and had made his way outside. Christmas had just passed, a lot of the student's were either out on break or just lounging inside in the warmth. Zeak hadn't gone home though, he had decided to remain here and discover more of the castle. He had made great progress in his quest to master the castle. He could now make it to the common room, the great hall, his classes, and a few spots out in the courtyard without getting lost, all the time. Even though the weather was cold the lake wouldn't be frozen over yet and Zeak loved to sit by the water and listened to the quiet sounds of nature.
Making up his mind he bean to travel his well known path toward the lake. His cane traveled across the ground in front of him alerting him to any trip hazards and allowing him to avoid them quite easily. His breath came out in steady puffs of smoke, an effect he had enjoyed most of his life. Zeak hadn't been born with his blindness, but he couldn't remember the part of his life when he had had vision. He was but a toddler when the fire broke out and robbed him of his site and younger brother. But somehow the unseen puff of smoke flying out of his mouth always seemed to cheer him up. He was now by the waters edge walking easily and sidestepping any large rocks in his path.
He shut his eyes and allowed the sound of the lake and the breeze to enter his ear. So lost in the sound was he that he didn't catch the sound of someone else's breathing and nearly ran into that person. Zeak backed up a step. "Oh, I'm terribly sorry. I almost didn't notice you there. I didn't mean to intrude."

Annabella smiled as she watched the water gently, moving causing ripples to make themselves known. She always loved it here as it was quiet and peaceful, she could sit here all day and just watch the lake, gaze at the scenery and when she was in the mood...sketch. Her other favorite place to be was the gardens, and when she passed them earlier all the flowers and such were, covered in snow along with the many bushes and benches. Perhaps after she was finished here she would make, her way back to the gardens.
Her ears picked up the faint sound of footsteps crunching across the snow, followed by a light tapping. She shrugged it off as being one of the few, students who were there over christmas. Either playing with their friends or doing ...whatever. She smiled and gave the lake one last glance before she, turned around. She stopped suddenly as there was a person right, in front of her.
Before she could utter a word the person, had already apologized and such for intruding. She smiled softly and said "No no your not intruding at all, I am here by myself and was just looking at the lake." she reconized the boy from her flying class. She didn't know his name but she knew he was, blind. She stepped back as well and smiled as she said "So...out for a wander I see or did you have this destination in mind?" as looked out to the lake again, and then back to him.
