Leah woke up on a sunny warm day, but didn't even care to notice. She was still not over her father's death last June. For three months Leah was this way. She stood up, stretched and got a pair of khaki pants and a got a sky-blue shirt that said ' I got problems'. The shirt was correct, Leah did have problems. She went to the showers and took one. All the sudden it turned freezing cold. " Ahhh" Leah yelled. She grabbed a towel and put it around her. As Leah did this she saw a girl giggling and running out with a wand. " Hey you!" Leah yelled to the girl. She didn't answer. Leah got back in her shower and finished washing her hair. She came out and got dressed and used a spell to dry her hair.
Leah went into the Gryffindor common room finding that the same girl was sitting there reading her magazine. " What are you doing with my magazines?" Leah asked while snatching them out of the girl's hands. Leah put them in her trunk and walked out into the grounds. She went out by the lake and had a fish splash water in her face. " Uhgg!" She said as she wiped it off. Leah went up and giant oak tree and sat there.

It was a really beautiful day out and Todd had no plans whatsoever. He knew that he wanted to go out on the lawn, but what would he do there? It seemed like only girls went out there to do nothing but sit and stare at the lake, and Todd most certainly didn't want to be a girl. He only wanted to enjoy the day, but with no friends available for play and no ideas, he really didn't have a fun day ahead. Sighing, Todd leaned against the window pane of his empty dorm and watched the people below, though they appeared to be little needles walking about. Most of them were gathered around the lake yet none of them were swimming. Not surprising considering the water was probably freezing. It had nearly frozen over one of these weekends, or so Todd heard. He had no way of knowing for sure since he had stayed inside those days with his homework for company.
A half an hour later, Todd had given up staring down at his peers and had decided to join them, whether or not he knew any of them. Shrugging his jacket over his shoulders, Todd buttoned up before pushing open the giant oak doors that led out to the Grounds. As he let them close behind him, a wave of laughter and screams met his ears, as always when friends were together. Todd winced a little as he realized that he would be alone out here, without friends to stand by and laugh with. How would that appear? Stuffing his hands in his pockets to save them from the cold, he noticed a girl sitting alone by an oak tree. Going over there, he stopped a little ways away, since he knew that many girls got particular about their "space."
"Hi," he greeted, shifting from foot to foot to keep warm. He took in the girl's appearance. Her shirt caught his attention and soon Todd found himself smiling. "I like your shirt." Todd wasn't one for getting embarrassed so he didn't care that he sounded a little strange mentioning her shirt without introducing himself or explaining why he was there. But that was Todd and usually people disliked that about him, or admired it because they did get embarrassed. But seeing as this girl didn't look particularly happy, Todd decided to do something more formal. "My name's Todd, how 'bout you?"
