Just sitting and waiting. (Annabella)

Gabriel woke up to the sounds of his black cat purring as she slept at the end of his bed. He just smiled at her as he got up then petted her. It was the first day off he had of this school year and he didn’t plan to waste any of it. He got changed and walked down to the common room to see almost all of his friends in a group doing the work they had pushed off to later. Gabriel had already finish all of that work on the days he first got it just because it seemed so much easier doing it that way it saved him the trouble of doing it all on his day off. Gabriel waved to them as he left the common room and thought for a second about going to the get something to eat but he didn’t even feel hungry right now.

He just decided to go outside because from the look out the window it seemed like a great day to be outside. He walked out side to see that there were pretty much no clouds outside only a few but not many. He headed right over to the forbidden forest because he really just liked to look into the forest and see if he could see any new animals but rarely ever did. The only thing he thought he saw once was a unicorn but he wasn’t really that sure. He made it to the forest and just sat down.

Gabriel pretty soon lied back on the ground and looked up at the blue sky and the few clouds that were out. It was so peaceful outside as he said just outside of the forbidden forest. He had been just looking out into the forest for a half an hour and nothing seemed to move it just seemed dead in there but he was sure it was a lot more active the deeper you got into the forest but it probably also got more dangerous if you did. That was the only thing keeping him from entering the forest sometimes. Seeing new animals especially magical ones always fascinated him and he would be will to break the rules about the forbidden forest to see them if it didn’t seem so dangerous.

He looked up just then to see a someone standing over him which creeped him out for a few seconds till he saw that it was a girl then he just started to wonder what she was doing.

Annabella opened the doors and walked outside, it was such a beautiful day outside, that she couldn’t just sit around the common room all day, doing nothing. She had to take advantage of the nice weather. She had nothing else to do really, she had finished all her homework she was required to do and all, of her friends were off doing their own thing today. They had invited her to join them, but she really didn’t feel like sitting around and, just gabbing all day.

She started towards the lake and began to walk along, the shore. She didn’t really have a destination in mind, just wherever her feet took her. She smiled as she looked out towards the lake, as she walked watching the way the sun shined, along the surface of the water. She looked forward again and kept walking.

After a little while her thoughts drifted to a couple of days ago, when she and Danny had gotten caught out of their common rooms, after curfew. They had each received a detention plus they, had thirty points deducted each. She felt real bad as it was mainly her fault, if she hadn’t of been so eager to see, that place he was talking about. Neither of them wouldn’t have gotten into trouble. She sighed quietly and continued to walk, she would have to find him, later and apologize. After a few minutes she looked up to discover that, she was near the forbidden forest. She arched her eyebrow as she saw, a lone figure laying down, just outside of the forest. “Hmm curious.” She said to herself as she made her way, over to where he was.

When she got closer, she kind of just stood over him for a few minutes; she smiled when he finally looked up at her. She gave a small wave and said “Hello, umm might I ask what your doing lying in front of the forest? Waiting for something perhaps?”

Gabriel kept looking up and he was pretty sure he had seen her somewhere but he couldn’t remember from where. Maybe from a class he had or just around the school somewhere but he just couldn’t seemed to remember but he kept thinking about it as he looked up at her and listened to her ask what he was doing lying in front of the forest was he waiting for something and then Gabriel just smiled up at her. “Well kind of yea.” He said as he sat up and turned to look at her. "Where have I seen her before... you think I would remember someone like her." He thought to himself smiling up at her as he did.

“I just come out here when I have nothing better to do and look into the forest.” He said laughing knowing how weird it always sounded when he told someone that. “I’ve never really seen anything though, maybe a unicorn but I'm not really sure.” He said smiling up at her as he sat down. “I’m Gabriel by the way but you can call me Gabe for short if you want.” He said as he stood up. He finally remembered that he had seen her once in the common room which would make he a Hufflepuff just like him. He thought he had heard her name once but couldn't rememeber that so he just waited for her to say it.

Annabelle smiled and watched as the boy, continued to look at her as if trying to place if he knew her, or where he had seen her before. He then sat up and said that he was kind of waiting for something, in response to her question. He turned and looked up at her smiling afterwards. She smiled back and listened as he explained why he was there. She nodded and smiled “A unicorn huh? Wow if that is what you saw, that’s pretty lucky. Yes the forest, does hold a lot of interesting creatures, and secrets I’m sure.” She said and smiled at him as he, stood up.

He then introduced himself as Gabriel, and said that if she wanted she could call him Gibe for short, she smiled and nodded and said “Well it’s nice to meet you Gabe, I’m Annabella and you can call me, Anna, or Bella or just plain B if you like.” She said and then laughed a bit. She then smiled and replied “I’ve seen you around the common room a few times, and I’m pretty sure we have a few classes together.” She smiled and looked over towards the forest “So have you ever gone in?” she asked and turned back to him and smiled.

Gabriel laughed as he listened to her say that if it was a unicorn that he saw that he was really lucky. “Yea I know but it was moving so fast I can’t really be sure so it could have been anything but it just looked like a unicorn to me.” He said smiling at her as she introduced herself. “That sure is a lot of different names.” He said laughing a little. “Well which one do you like the most and I’ll call you that.” He added smiling at Annabella. He listened again as she told him that she had seen him around the common room and she thought that they might have a few classes together.

“Yea I’ve seen you around the common room to.” He said smiling. “I’ve never seen you in any of my classes though but next time I’ll make sure to look for you in class.” He added smiling again. Then listened to her talk about the forbidden forest and if he had ever gone in it. “No never, I want to but the only thing keeping me out is the dangerous animals in there, I’m sure there’s tons. I wouldn’t even worry about the rules it’s just that, that keeps me out.” he said laughing. “Yea if you haven’t noticed so far I’m kind of obsessed about seeing new animals.” He said smiling again but this time a little embarrassed.

Annabella listened as Gabriel talk about the unicorn, but he said whatever is was it was moving to fast for him to tell, but it looked like a unicorn to him. She smiled back at him and said “Hm maybe it wasn’t a unicorn; I don’t think Unicorns move so fast that you can’t see them. But then again I could be wrong.” She smiled again. She laughed a bit after he commented on, her many nicknames saying that she sure had a lot of different names, and asked which once she liked, best and that he would call her that. Annabella smiled and replied “Well I have taken a likening to being called Anna, so that one would be okay.” She smiled at him again.

She smiled as he said that, he had seen her around the common room as well, but he had never seen her in any of his classes, but next time he would be sure to look for her. She smiled and nodded and said “Yeah, I’m pretty sure we do have at least one or two together.” She smiled and looked towards the forest as he spoke, of how he had never been in the forest, but wanted to go in, but the dangerous animals were what was keeping him out, and not the rules. She laughed a bit and turned back to him and said “Yeah, I’m sure there is tons of them in there, but I think that they are all deep in the forest, I’m sure there isn’t any around, the entrance here and a little bit further.” She smiled

“Yes I have noticed you do seem to like, seeing new animals. Which is a good thing, I mean there is nothing wrong, with wanting to see new, animals.” She smiled once again.

Gabriel was a little saddened by the fact that she didn’t think it was a unicorn because it was moving that fast. A lot of other people he told just said that it wasn’t a unicorn also but he thought it was or maybe it was the fact he just wanted to see one which made him think it was one. Gabriel laughed a little as she answered him about which name she would like to be called and she picked Anna. “Well then Anna is.” He said still laughing then smiling back at her. He listened to her tell him that she was pretty sure that they did have a class or two with each other which he was sure if they did he would have noticed her but it was possible.

“Well next time in class I’ll sit next to you or you sit next to me that way we’ll both be completely sure about it.” He said laughing a little at the end. He started listening to her as she talking about the forest and that the dangerous animals are probably way back in there not if the front. “Yea that might be true but I just don’t know.” He said smiling a little back at Annabella. He listened as she said she did notice it but it was fine there was nothing wrong with wanting to see new animals and smiled even more. “So what brought you all the way over here Anna?” He asked her still smiling.

Annabella noticed that he looked a little, disappointed that she didn't think it was a unicorn. So in an effort to make him feel better she smiled and said "Well then again I wasn't there, and I don't really know all that much, about Unicorns so maybe it was one." she knew that her saying that might not, make him feel any better but, at least she tried. After she had made her opinion known about the nickname, she liked he laughed a bit and said that Anna it was, for what he would call her. She smiled and nodded.

She laughed when he made the suggestion of, either he or she could sit beside each other, if they were in a class together and that way they would know for sure. She nodded and smiled "Sure that sounds like a plan, and its deffinatly a good way to find out."

She smield again when he asked her, what brought her out there. "Well I was a little bored and there was really, nothing to do in the common room. And its such a beautiful day out so I decided on a walk. What about you? besides waiting for new animals to show themselves."

Gabriel cheered up a little when he heard her say that. It didn’t really matter what other people thought he was pretty sure he knew what he saw and if other people didn’t believe him it was fine it just got him down a little when people didn’t. “Well it’s alright. I’ll see one up close someday, I hope.” He said smiling at Anna. He was sure that one day he was going to see another one along with a lot of other great animals. He laughed a little as she agreed with him about sitting together would tell them if they had the same classed together. “And it seems that it would be a great way to have some fun in class.” He said laughing as he listened to her answer him about why she had come outside today.

“That’s pretty much the same reason I came out here too. I was done with all my work and had nothing better to do so I came out here then you came a long and my day got a lot better.” he said a laughing then smiling at Anna. “You want you sit down or walk around?

Annabella smiled when she had seen that, after she had made her comment, Gabriel seemed to cheer up a bit. She listened and nodded as he said that he would see one, up close...hopefully. Annabella smiled once again and then her eyes, widened a bit. "Gabriel...hey why don't you take Care of magical creatures? I'm sure Hagrid would have unicorns on the agenda, and if not you can always ask him?" she smiled at him and waited to see what, he thought. Plus it would be at least one for sure class, they would be taking together.

Annabella laughed a bit when Gabriel said, not only would it tell them if they were, taking class together but it would be a good way to have fun in class, as well. She nodded and said "Yeah it would."

She listened as he told her what brought him out, as well and it was pretty much the same reasons as hers. But she had to blush at his comment about her coming along, and making his day better. When he asked her if she wanted to sit or walk around, she smiled and replied "Well if you don't mind I'm kind of sick of walking around, so do you mind if we sit?"
