The staff have decided, from Wynd’s idea, that we are going to add a new feature to Quidditch, from this season onwards! Yes, we have decided to have a running commentary of each match, as well as the round summaries from Madam Hooch and the posts from the all-important players themselves!
Now, how will this work, you may be asking yourself?
Well, the plan is that every match two students will be chosen to commentate; alternating each round-i.e. one student posts one round, the other student the next, then back to the first student for the third round. You’ll write the commentary IC with your student, and a staff member will edit it into Hooch's post for the relevant round and increase your post count by 1, so that you're accredited for each bit of commentary that you write.
So how do you get chosen to commentate? Anyone interested should post an audition in the “Quidditch Commentator Auditions” thread in the Quidditch board, following the instructions given in that thread. Auditions are open to all students 3rd year and above -the only requirement is that the character is interested in Quidditch, and hence it is something they are likely to be interested in IC. Quidditch team players are also welcome! Your audition post doesn’t have to be very long-only around 2 or 3 paragraphs or so. All auditions will be considered, and all that are deemed to be of a high enough standard will be accepted. You’ll then go down on a list of people who wish to commentate on the matches and we’ll try to fit all of you into a game.
