Attention all members:
Starting in December and continuing until May, Hogwarts is opening its doors to the Wigtown Wanderers Quidditch team! Along with the Wanderers comes an exciting opportunity to get your student characters involved in an event which will be like no other. You've heard of the Triwizard Tournament in The Goblet of Fire, you've played Quidditch here on our site, and perhaps you've been around for the International Quidditch Tournament that happened in the summer of 2007. But what if all of those amazing events and activites were combined to make an all-inclusive, all-out-fun, amazingly brilliant event that you can be a part of? Let me introduce you to the Quidditch Skills Cup!
The Quidditch Skills Cup is a tournament for ALL students wishing to participate (not just those on the Quidditch teams). Every student who wants to participate must select one of the four Quidditch positions to enter under (Chaser, Keeper, Beater, Seeker). There will be a total of 12 different skill challenges (3 challenges within each of the 4 positions), in which students will compete against one another to earn points. More explanation of each challenge and the point system will be provided when the time comes. In the end, though, the top 11 students (4 Chasers, 3 Beaters, 2 Keepers, and 2 Seekers) will combine to form a Hogwarts All-Star Team, which will then travel to the United States in June of 2009 to compete in a Quidditch tournament. This means that students from all houses or years could possibly come together to make this all-star team. One of those students could be you!
What do I do to participate in this amazing event, you ask? Well, for now you just need to sign up for the position you want and begin to assign your skill points. To do this, you simply need to PM Drake's account with your character's name and their position. Then, I will send you a message that will give a bit more insight to the skill points so that you can assign the points to your character in the best and most realistic way. I will be heading up the basic upkeep for this event, but many of staff will be taking the roles of some of the Wigtown players to help this event move nicely along. In fact, let me introduce you to the Wigtown team:
Wigtown Wanderers
*Note: Those names in red are played by a staff member.
Names in white are just NPCs who are here simply to fill the roster and make
a complete team. They will not be actually posting.
So, what are you waiting for? Sign up today by PMing Drake! There is no limit to how many students you can sign up with.
