The Name Voldemort Strikes Fear No Longer!
Daily Prophet, January 6th[/center]
As many witches and wizards prepared themselves to ring in the New Year with joy at Lyme Hall, there were darker plans brewing. No one knew just how disastrous the night would turn out to be, not even those who were usually more acute to such things. No one could sense the danger that was lurking around and about them. Amidst the happiness and laughter at the evening’s bash at Lyme Hall, there was knowledge of an attack. Few were ready for it, and less believed it. It was that night, January 1st at exactly midnight, that Harry Potter was killed.
“We have been through horrific situations preceding young Potter’s death, but this by far the worst we have seen throughout the 18 years of his life.” Albus Dumbledore, headmaster of Hogwarts, stated at a conference with his students after the killing and attack on New Year. “We shall go on with life, and use his memory as a basis for the strengths we will need to endure our own problems. Harry was a marvelous young man who had his whole life ahead of him. It is a tragedy to have lost him.” Headmaster Dumbledore’s speech brought tears to many of the students and was very touching to everyone. Underneath the tears, there was joy, however. A joy that no one thought would ever be real again.
For with Harry Potter’s death there was a weakened soul, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. That same fateful night, Neville Longbottom killed You-Know-Who after having witnessed Potter’s murder. For years he will be known as a hero and will go down in history with The Boy Who Lived as The Boy Who Saved the Wizarding World. Neville has not been conducting interviews, but has been reported to be very shaken and slightly in shock at what he has done. Who wouldn’t be?!
People can be seen shouting in the streets with happiness. Joyous that You-Know-Who is really dead. It is safe to say that the name “Lord Voldemort” will not strike fear in the hearts of wizarding kind any longer. Be free to be who you want to be and live life like there’s no tomorrow! We are in a new age, an age without terror!
