The Kidnapping of Parvati Patil

What seemed like an absolutely normal day at Hogwarts turned into a horrible nightmare for Parvati Patil, Gryffindor Seventh Year. Having been through a lot in her years at Hogwarts (we all remember last years kidnapping of Ginny Weasley and Parvati's attack), Patil's parents had threatened to withdraw their twin daughters from Hogwarts if anything more happened. As last years attack from Death Eaters only made their threat worse, they were far from pleased to hear of their daughter's kidnapping.

Ministry of Magic officials can not collect more than a bit of information about this kidnapping. They know that some means of port-key in a shape of a crystal ball had transported her somewhere else. They, however, do not know how the port-key got inside Hogwarts - much less in a student's hands. Ministry officials will continue to gather as much evidence as possible to find the missing student, but at the moment things are looking grim. The known fact that Parvati is in Death Eater hands, only makes the outlook far worse.

In result, Parvati and Padma Patil's parents have followed through with their threat, and have withdrawn Padma earlier this morning. Apparently, Padma is to finish her schooling at home with a tutor as will Parvati when she is found. They don't believe Hogwarts is safe anymore, and think their home is the safest place to be amid all these attacks. It appears, the Patil twins will not be finishing their seventh year at Hogwarts.
