Ash, it's Christmas... that's two players today! *does little dance round room*
Ah, yes, Chace... welcome to the Hufflepuff team! Good to have you here. Our next game starts on Thursday as you're probably aware, against Slytherin. You're in as a reserve for the moment. Please could you tell me your secondary position? I'll try to put you in as Chaser whenever possible, but of course I may need to put you in as your secondary position instead if that's what the team needs. Also, please go and introduce yourself in the owl to the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team and make a note there of any dates in the next couple of months when you're going to be away/not able to post in the Quidditch match.
*is very excited*
Your audition is included below! Chace doesn't want to see Ivy when she's really angry, so try not to make it happen.
Name of character - Chace Coxen
House - Hufflepuff
Year - Sixth
Desired Position - Chaser
A game of Quidditch was always a good way to end a week. Even if that week was good. Quidditch just made it better. Plus Chace and Seth were on the same team which made things even better. They didn't always get to play at the same time or even in the same position but when they did... Ivy generally regretted the decision. Not because either of them were bad players but they did things their own way. They would often hog the Quaffle and pass it back and forth regardless of what was happening in the game around them. Ivy would have to yell at them and remind them to take the game seriously. But how could Chace every be serious when playing with Seth? But because of that, today Chace was playing Chaser and Seth was not.
The current game was against Gryffindor. The Gryffindors were feeling prideful because well, when didn't they feel prideful? They were on top of their game and felt like Hufflepuff would fall without a fight. How wrong they were. Hufflepuffs were fierce little fighters and often were overlooked by the rest of the school. But today that would change. Today, the school would know who was the best team. It wasn't Gryffindor.
Chace waited patiently as Madam Hooch released the Quaffle into the fray and the other Chasers dove toward it. Chace was more of re-actor, he liked to see how other players played and adjust his method to overcome them. He allowed the Quaffle to be caught by a Gryffindor Chaser and watched as his teammates tried to overtake it. But Chace knew the best time to catch the Quaffle was during a pass. He also knew that the Gryffindor Chasers were all about glory and wanted to make as many goals as possible so they would pass as soon as possible. Chace saw the signs as the young Gryffindor Chaser looked to her left and right to see which of her teammates were open. Chace knew that she was getting ready to pass. He flew a little off path so that he could swerve back into a great arc. He sped up as he saw her chose a teammate and release the red ball from her hands. From out of nowhere, Chace intercepted the ball and he came out of his arc aimed toward the Hufflepuff goal. It was too easy.
