Welcome to the Hufflepuff team, Randy! You're in as a Reserve for the time-being, but since you auditioned for Beater you should hopefully be in the starting line-up by next year!
Please let me know what you want for your secondary position... I'll try to put you in as Beater as that's your preferred position but it may be that I can better fit you in for your secondary position during this match... so anyway, let me know ASAP please. Also, it'd be great if you could go and post in the owl for the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team... just to introduce yourself *grin* but also to warn me in advance of any dates over the next couple of months when you're going to be away or too busy to post in the game (which starts this Thursday!).
Your excellent audition post is included below in case you want to use it sometime.
Name of character – Randy Kerr
House - Hufflepuff
Year – 6th
Desired Position – Beater
As soon as the whistle sounded Randy took off. She didn’t want to waste any time. The Keepers would be competing for the quaffle which meant that Randy had a chance to strike on the opposing Chaser. It would be a strong move for the team because if she could distract the Ravenclaw Chaser, then maybe Hufflepuff could start the game soundly with a goal. At least this is what Randy was hoping for. Randy wanted Hufflepuff to win so badly. She didn’t even care how much they one by. She would settle for a point, but she did want to make sure that she did everything to help the team. She didn’t want the blame to fall on her shoulders, but Randy knew her teammates weren’t like that. Hufflepuffs were characteristically loyal, but that wasn’t always the case. There were always exceptions for every house and she knew that. Randy stared at the chasers flying for the quaffle. She only had a little time frame to work with. Either she could come in contact a bludger or not, but she was hoping for the best.
This was an important game for Hufflepuff it would determine if they would be playing against Slytherin to win the Quidditch Cup for the year. Randy wanted the win so badly but it would take the whole team to achieve it of course. She eyed the Seekers who had taken off to find the snitch. The fate of the game was really in their hands. Yes, a team could win without catching the snitch as this happened in the major leagues somewhat but it didn’t usually happen at Hogwarts so the snitch would most likely determine the winner. This wasn’t always fair as the better team sometime lost even thought they played a fair game, but sports weren’t always fair and Quidditch was a good example at this. “Go Hufflepuffs!” Randy cheered. They could do this. They could win this game. And Randy would do everything she could to help.
Randy shook her head as she missed the bludger and a Ravenclaw took to aiming at a fellow Hufflepuff. Randy had expected the move as soon as he got close to the bludger and she flew as fast as she could to reach her teammate. She could hear the crowd cheer about the quaffle, but Randy wasn’t paying any attention to the Chasers. No she was much too concerned with the bludgers. Randy had always been that way. Being a Chaser was okay, but Randy much preferred the Beater position. She liked being able to be as forceful as she wanted and not get punished for it. Randy felt like the beaters were in control of the game. If they didn’t like another players action they could send a bludger their way to stop them. Randy liked this control even if she wasn’t exactly a power hungry person. But she did love the game and she did love her position. Randy stopped short of crashing into the Hufflepuff player and turned around quickly and hit the bludger as hard as she could. She smiled slightly as it headed in the way of a Ravenclaw player. Randy then nodded and flew off again as quickly as she could.
