Welcome to the team, Finn! You're on as a Reserve Beater-Seeker. Please come and introduce yourself in the team owl!
Your excellent audition is below:
"No you don't!" Finn flashed a mischievous smile at the Ravenclaw Chaser who just stole the Quaffle from Ivy. With his wrist throbbing in pain from the previous Bludger which hit his arm in mid-swing, Finn found it hard to concentrate. Still, he was determined to help put any obstacle in the way of the Ravenclaw team as their trio of chasers flew determinedly toward the Hufflepuff goal-posts. He circled high above the chaos which ensued below. The Hufflepuff Chasers seemed equally determined to get the Quaffle back in their possession.
With the other Hufflepuff Beater occupied on the other end of the pitch near the Seekers, Finn decided he'd do his part to help the Chasers in the meantime. Hufflepuff was winning by a solid 60 points, and perhaps if neither Seeker seemed to have any more luck, the match would come down to goals alone. He highly doubted that, but the current focus seemed to be centered on the possession of the Quaffle.
Finn noticed a Bludger approaching. His peripheral vision allowed him to notice the speeding blue blur which was pursuing the oncoming black mass. If Finn could be the first one there, he'd be able to have a chance at sending the Bludger toward the Chaser carrying the Quaffle. Wincing through the pain in his wrist, he pushed forward.
For a moment, he feared that he might collide with the Ravenclaw Beater. To his relief though, their broom tails just barely scraped against each other, and Finn spun around to get a clean swing at the whizzing Bludger. It wasn't his hardest swing, considering his slight injury, but it would suffice nonetheless. That is, it would suffice as long as he had made contact...
