Dear all Quidditch players,
To enable less confusing counting of the pass system we currently have for the Chasers and the Quaffle, Adam (aka Drake Manning S7) recently came up with a new and better system to keep abreast of who has passed, who hasn't, and who can or cannot attempt a shot on goal.
This, in Adam's words, is the new system I shall use:
At the beginning of the game, each team starts with a passing number of 0. When they shoot, their passing number decreases by 1 (going to -1). A team cannot shoot unless their passing number is 0 or higher. Every time they make a successful pass, their passing number goes up one. Thus, if they want, they can pass 3 times in a row, making their number go from -1 to 2. Then, they'd be able to take 3 shots on goal before being forced to pass again.
I hope this is clear for everyone. If you have any questions, please ask here or in Talk To Staff. Myself or the staff members will do our best to clarify anything for you.
I will implement this system as of now, even though the Gryffindor vs. Slytherin game will most likely be ending soon. We have decided to do this because our current system is just much too confusing. I have chosen to have both teams start at 0, because it is too difficult to work out who can or cannot pass (even if I trawl through every page...). I hope this is all right with everyone. Hopefully it won't affect the game too much as most likely it'll be over soon.

Just a quick question. Does this mean any attempted shot will decrease the number or only successful goals with decrease the number?
Example: In the previous goal just scored by Scott. If Pyro had managed to save goal would Gryffindor's Pass number still decrease, or would it stay the same since the goal was not successfull.

It'd still decrease, Pyro. Any shot on goal would mean a decrease.

Please also note that a Keeper's pass to a Chaser does not count as a pass either. Only passes between Chasers count.
