I was having a ditzy moment with the Common Rooms IN... I put it up in staff rather than in the Important Notices. Oops. I would say it's the thought that counts... I thought I'd put it up in Important Notices. But in this case getting it right would have been better.

*pat* Don't worry, Izy. Even the best of us make the smallest of mistakes. I find it rather amusing, reflecting on it. When you posted it up in staff I thought: Ah, how nice, she's written the IN and is asking for us to give it the green light! Then when Adam posted in R&R saying that Justin had commented on how the Common Rooms could already be seen, I thought that, maybe - just maybe - Izy might have made a mistake and posted it in the wrong place. But then I thought: Nooo. Never. Izy, mistake? Phff. xD I eat my thoughts. Fwaa. I then decided I'd PM you... but then doubted my assumed arrogance that you'd gotten it wrong and didn't. xD Maybe I should've. Never mind. It's sorted now anyway.

I was confident enough just to post it straight up since we'd already discussed everything I was writing the IN about in staff!
I hope your thoughts were tasty.
But really... what would I do without you (and Mary)? ;D

Mary I think moved the IN to Important Notices.
You explained my mistake to me.
Now I know that I am not losing my marbles, which I had thought I might be. I was simply having a moment of... absentmindedness. Which isn't quite as far along the scale to crazy.

I am still amazed. I can't believe you of all people would make such a mistake. *patpat* It shows how busy you are. How busy we all are. *sigh* Come tomorrow I need to harrass my darling writers. Woot woo... EDIT: Btw, I'll try to remember to talk to you about this tomorrow, but I doubt Julia will be able to write an article this month. She hasn't even done her personal statement yet! So... no. It ain't gonna happen. At least that's half a page (did we assign her half a page?) which can be filled by us forgetting Lily...

I started harrassing them last week. Accosting them in the corridor and the Common Room and all. 'Don't forget...' I'm worried that some of them are a little scared of me.
EDIT: That's okay, has she said that she won't be able to? We kinda need to have someone fail to produce an article. So. It's okay. Won't we need to fit the Starbucks voucher in this issue too? I was thinking it could go at the front, underneath your editorial note.

@izy: And have them cut through Joelle's pretty front cover? No. It will go on the back, where it usually goes - not just in Scrawl but for magazines in general. The front cover is meant to be untouchable! I haven't asked her personally, but you remember when I drew her outside the Common Room whilst we were cleaning on Friday? She basically told me how stressed she was about the personal statement, because she just can't write it. If she hasn't done that the last thing she needs is me harrassing her... It never works anyway... Need to talk to you about the other Miriam in the year below too. @mary: You should be. Izy can be very... forceful when she wants to be. In a way I feel a little sorry for your writers, but at least they respect you... sort of. They get their articles to you, at least! On time!

Oh all right then, you're right it would be awful if Joelle's picture went. It's just that we don't have so much space! And which Miriam? The Thought Box Miriam or some other one I wasn't aware existed? No, I wasn't listening to your conversation with Julia because I don't feel it would be appreciated if I joined in and therefore it would be rude if I listened.
Mary - it's mutual! ;D

Miriam Jones, not Miriam Battye; the girl who originally said she'd do the Film Review but dropped out at the last minute because she felt she couldn't commit to writing one article a month - she's not really a writer but she wants to be on the production team. Anyway, she came up to me on Friday congratulating me on the October issue. Then she came up later, seemingly inspired by the issue (!), and said she wanted to do it again. She wants to be a reserve, though. Anyway, more about that tomorrow. As for Julia, if you had listened in, yes, I think I would have been rather... surprised. Not so much offended because it wasn't me spilling my guts. Julia had actually already told me about her personal statement the previous evening... heh. But that's irrelevant. I just mentioned it in case you remembered me going out with Julia.
