Ah. Because one is Hargreaves and the other Hooper. Darn, I didn't notice that. Well, it'll have to be Smoker Emma H and Ken's Stalker Emma H. Lol.
You happen to have the latter, m'dear. Yes, I can already hear your rejoicing...
Ken's Stalker Emma H is in UIVX with Eleanor Cartmill. She's the one who wrote about the LIV Disco last year... Form room is Room 16, form teacher is Mrs Mounteney.
Besides the fact that Charlotte is no longer writing about Euthanasia, the list is correct.

Eeeeee, that's excellent Viv *huggles* good luck! And don't worry about not being ready - at least you'll have a few days in half term to do bit of preparation, if not before then! And at least you have York anyway, if you don't get Warwick or Durham, which is great . Got my letter from Durham today, with open day info...now to decide which day to go. I'm thinking Tuesday/Wednesday rather than Monday/Tuesday. But anyway, that's gerat Viv, well done

That's great news! During half term is an excellent time to have it - you won't miss any school and you'll be more relaxed. Do Durham interview? And is Warwick your second or your third choice? (What grades will they ask for if they give you an offer?) Kathryn - Durham emailed back, lol.

Thank youu! :D
I'll be okay if I don't get into Warwick. I think, psychologically though, it helps a lot not to be rejected. :) I know what Jess means when she said she felt awful to be rejected from Leeds, not because she wanted to go there at all, but because it's like she's not good enough and they don't want her.
Oooh, how I'd love for a clean sweep like Izy. ;D
I highly doubt it though. I think Durham's going to reject me, and I'm just being realistic. I've not set my hopes up too high. I can't believe it's not even got through to the college yet. -_-;;
Did you know that Emma Watson does English Lit at Durham? :D I think that kinda makes me want to go there even more now. xD;;
Anyway; Izy, my first choice (if I got all the offers) would be Durham, then York and then Warwick. I'd quite like to have York as my first choice and Warwick as my second, but their standard offer is AAA, meaning I'd have to choose Cardiff... which, frankly, my parents still want to murder me for.
What did Durham say?

Yeah, I feel rather bad for Jess, not that I know her very well or anything. Rejection's not nice, especially if it's from more than one uni...you just have to prepare yourself for the worst really, if you're not that confident. Then the blow's not too bad...and keep telling yourself that the next choice is great. As for Durham, don't worry about it not going to the college yet! They're probably still deciding in the department, and as the deadline's not till tomorrow they'll still have applications coming in to look over. But once it gets sent to the college, you basically have an offer, I believe And nope, I didn't know that! That's quite interesting really...any idea which college? I don't think it was Trevs...she would've come up in the alumni list. Ah well. And I'm in a similar boat with the choices...well, I would be if Durham hadn't been so nice lol. And so was Izy...with the second choices having the same standard offer as the first choices. Now I'm in the position of firm and insurance having the same offer, heh, which isn't the best position to be in, but hey, it's a nice offer anyway And what did they say Izy? I knew you should've waited a bit longer! Would they have accepted you for Chemistry then?

I feel for her, really. She doesn't have much of a choice left...
They were discussing unis again at the end of school. I was the only one sitting in the corner, being anti-social and playing Sudoku on my phone. xD Then again, it was Jess, Liberty, Mehreen and... someone... I forget. Oh, Kate. And they were talking about unis and who had got into/been rejected from what.
I felt a little bit sick, listening to them.
Firstly because the way they talk about it kinda worries me, obviously, and secondly, I just hate how... gossipy people are. -_-;;
No, I don't know which college she goes to, aha Oh wait; I just checked Wiki and it says she's on a gap year right now. *shrug* I don't know if it's right. But I'm pretty sure she is/will be at Durham for English.
Oh my God. If she's taking a gap year and I go to Durham, then we'd be in the same year! :O Unbelievable. I use her as the face of, well, Hermione. Oh my goodness. xD
But anyway. No high hopes. Not yet. xD

Erm yes that I could transfer to Chemistry with AAA offer.
Could have, lol.
I feel bad to have wasted his time - I thought he wasn't going to reply, to be honest... but I thought it had been two weeks. It had only been one.
It feels like two. Friday will be the first day I haven't had an exam, apart from the weekend of course.
Anyhow, I'm really not too bothered other than feeling guilty - he'd had to email the university wide admissions office so I guess that's what the delay was. But he didn't email me back so I didn't know what was going on. As for where I've accepted as my insurance, Bristol is apparently ranked really highly for Chemistry in the latest Research Assessment Exercise, only below Oxford + Cambridge. I think my dad said Manchester was 4th (yey!), and Imperial 5th (they'll be annoyed to be in that position, ha). He says that he thinks Durham is 11th, Kathryn, but they'd probably be higher if it was a bigger department because it's partially based on the volume of research, as well of course on the quality.
*nods* But really... I hope I get my As. I really want to be able to go to Cambridge, having got this far.
Viv, why does the way that they talk about it worry you?

Whoa, hold yer horses for a second. Let me get this straight before I get the wrong end of the stick! xD
So... basically, Durham says yes to you switching to Chemistry (AAA). However, you have, I am under the impression, already replied to UCAS. And therefore, you have wasted the Durham man's time. And your choices are now Cambridge first, Natural Sciences (AAA), and then Bristol, Chemistry (AAB?).
Correct?
If that's the case, the AAA Durham offer for Chemistry is basically the same as the Natural Science one, so... having it as insurance isn't exactly... insurance. Lol. So does that mean it doesn't make a difference anyway?
Because they keep going on about who's got which unis and quite frankly, I don't want to know. I don't care if people have got Durham. I haven't. Okay, good for them, I'm not bitter whatsoever, but why discuss it like that? It's just making their own problems worse. They're so gossipy and nosy, it's ridiculous. I mean, I ask someone about unis out of interest but also I give proper sympathy or congratulations. With everyone else, it's so fake and forced and... typical of our year. -_-;;
Sorry. I just hate the way they talk about unis. Kate wasn't so bad, but the other three... annoyed me.

Correct. I already replied to my offers so it wouldn't have made any difference. But I wouldn't have been able to accept Durham anyway. Yes, you have got it.
I only replied to my offers yesterday. I thought it had been two weeks, although it's only been one. But it had felt like two to me, believe me.
Hmm... no comment on that. I understand what you're saying but... I'm inclined to say 'deal with it'. (Sorry). People just are like that so you kind've have to get used to it... although I agree that it can't be very helpful for Jess.

*shrug* I have dealt with it, Izy. You can say it, but it won't make a difference 'cause I already did. :P One step ahead of ya.
I can complain to you about things like this, right? :P
Honestly, it's no big deal. It's just silly, petty... So Jess is frustrated and upset, yes. Does she have to tell every single person she comes into contact with? No. There's only so many lessons we can cry with her, talk to her, comfort her, moan with her, etc. She's the one who needs to get over it, unfortunately. Otherwise she'll just be stuck in a rut...
I know it means a lot to people, but they're not treating it like that. I just find people too two-faced. It's not about them; it's about them and everyone else in our year. *shrug* Selfiiish. And yes, selfishness annoys me, however human it is.
And before you say it! Yes, I am selfish too. I know that. But when it comes to university, I'm not gonna scratch Tori's back out 'cause she got Durham and I didn't. I would genuinely be happy for her, or Jess. I'm happy Bex got into Oxford. The others... debatable.
