Hello all!
The Hufflepuff vs. Ravenclaw match is fast approaching in the next few days. The exact date has not been decided yet, but I need to hear from you all and see who's up for the match - main and reserve players included. Since Celia has her Cambridge interview coming up I will be captaining the team until she returns.
So please post here with when you are available and hopefully we'll have a full team able to play! :D
Thank you~ Viv
P.S. Also, so I don't have to dig out the stats as no one has actually told me them recently, could you tell me your first and second positions again? Just so Celia and I can organise the positions to our best advantage. :)

Thanks for doing this Viv, it's much appreciated! I am still kinda around, but don't really have enough time to do much around the site, which I must apologise for as I'm not exactly active as it is =). Anyway, The position preferences I have recorded are: Theo: Chaser/Keeper Celia: Chaser/Beater Ephraim: Beater/Keeper Norah: Beater/Seeker Adriahna: Seeker/Chaser August: Keeper/Chaser Williard: Seeker/Chaser Sandy: Seeker/Keeper Ruth: Seeker/Chaser Edward: Keeper/Seeker Norah, if you could let me know your secondary preference, and if the rest of you could let me know if there are any errors in the above list that would be great . Anyway, my interview's on the 17th, but I won't be here on the 16th either as I'm going down to Cambridge (well, London) then, and probably not coming back till the 18th...mayyyybe even later, and I won't have inet access down there. All other days are fine, as I am actually around, but I won't be able to post much. Although knowing what I'm like I should be able to find more time to post in rather thank waste =). So, good luck team . We weren't successful at all last year, but this time...this time I think we have a chance! Seekers, you need to post EVERY DAY-we can't let the oppurtunities slip through our fingers that easily. Oh, and another thing is the thought of a practice at some point early next year. I was thinking February, as in January both Viv and myself have exams (as do Izy, and probably some others), so we won't be available. If we don't have a match then I'll go with February, and if we do have a match in February...then probably whenever the match between the other 2 teams is taking place, if you'd be happy with that. If not, which would be completely understandable, then after both matches. I think that's all I have to say really, thanks everyone Celia .

Ruth is here at the moment and will be up until around the 22nd of December for a short while, maybe just over a week. And yep, as Celia says- Seeker/Chaser. Feel free to do what you will with her. ^^

Thank you to everyone who has replied so far! The starting date is most likely going to be Thursday, 11 Dec (so a week on Thursday) and I hope most of you will be available from that date onwards. The issue of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day is still being discussed, since the game may run into those days.
When Madam Hooch has done your stat rolls Celia and I will assign you your positions, but until then it's just preparing to play Hufflepuff. ;) And as Celia has said we will be conducting a practice afterwards around February 09, so be prepared for that too. We'd like to increase some of your experience points, as this is a relatively new team! August and Williard are only two posts away from getting one experience point, so well done! :D

Adriahna is here. Those positions are right. And for holidays like that it's usually just an extra long round. A round that will last the 23rd until the 27th or so

Hiya all. I will be busy the next few weeks but I will have enough time to post atleast Norah in Quidditch. When I'm less busy I'll play Randy as well. *nods* Norah's second if Seeker.

Hey everyone, just to let you know that the starting lineup has been decided: Chaser – Theo Darke R6 Chaser – Ruth Hosker-Thornhill R7 Chaser – August Reid - R5 Beater – Ephraim Eades - R6 Beater – Celia Richmond R7 Keeper – Edward Summers R5 Seeker – Adriahna Dynes R5 Sorry if anyone's disappointed with this-it's just what both myself and Viv thought was best for the team, for now anyway. Those of you that aren't in the starting lineup, don't worry-you will be included at some point in the game. And if you're in the starting lineup but unhappy with your positions then again, don't worry-some of you will be switched around at various points in the game. Also, your stats points, just so you know: Theo Darke R6: 1, 4, 4 Adriahna Dynes R5: 5, 4, 2 Ephraim Eades R6: 6, 3, 5 Sandy Hart R4: 3, 3, 2 Ruth Hosker-Thornhill R7: 4, 5, 4 August Reid R5: 5, 1, 4 Celia Richmond R7: 3, 5, 5 Edward Summers R5: 5, 1, 4 Williard Thoth R2: 4, 2, 5 Norah Walsh R5: 5, 2, 4 Evelyn Winter R5: 5, 2, 4 (Teammate: Dex, Str, Con) GOod luck everyone, and see you in the game . Thanks for replying!

Hello all! Well, Theo has lost the Quaffle to Seth, so we've got to steal it back. Looking at our stats it would be best if Ruth attempted to steal and August attempted to intercept, but I haven't seen August sign in in the last 24 hours, so I'll have Theo intercept now. I would wait till tonight to see if August comes online, but I won't be home all evening so I won't be able to post later, so I'll post now. Keep up the good work, Ravens!

It's too late now, but Ruth, you could've attempted a shot on goal. It's not disasterous to pass to Theo, as he only has one Str lower than Ruth when he attempts to shoot, and your pass will be added to the passing tally. It's a bit confusing, but 0 means you can actually attempt to shoot. Only when it gets to -1 does it mean you can't shoot.
This is why all Chasers need to watch out for the new rule on passing! The only reason I made Seth pass was because his Str is 1 and quite frankly he was not gonna score. ;)
EDIT: Well, nothing matters at the moment because the Snitch has been seen! Race to the finish line, Adriahna! Go go! :D

Well done everyone!!! :D We've won the match! It was a short one but thank you very much to everyone who participated. Not only have you helped your team to victory but your posts go towards levelling up for experience points. :D Again, because the match was so short we weren't given much of an opportunity to post, but the upcoming practice Celia has scheduled (and will be leading once she has returned from Cambridge!) will help you reach your next experience point level. :) Apologies to those who did not get a chance to play; hopefully next time it will be a longer game and we'll be able to substitute players in and out.
Again, a big well done and thank you to you all! We're a step closer to taking that Quidditch Cup! Mwahaha! ;D

xD Well played everyone, despite the short game!
And ooh, that's true. *smacks head* I could've shot. Apologies, team!
Theo; you're lucky the game ended so quick, Ruth was about to bite your head off for asking about her health after the hit. xD

xD
Anyway, now that the experience points have been counted up, I can see that, besides Williard, Norah and Sandy, everyone is well on their way to earning their next experience point! :D
This is where the practice comes in. I know canon-wise there would not be a practice during the winter holidays, but if I start it afterwards it would be quite late and the next game will probably have started. Plus, this'll give people more time to reply. I'll set it just after the match and before school ends. Celia has gone to Cambridge today, so good luck to her! When she gets back she'll take over the practice from me. :)
Anyway, it is vital that some of you post in the practice - in particularly August, who is one post away from his first experience point. Celia is two away from having four experience points. Adriahna needs three more to get her first one. You three are the ones who need to participate in the practice the most. Celia obviously will be posting, and August only needs the one, but Adriahna, it would be great if you could post three times in it.
For the others, there's still a way to go... Theo needs five, Ruth six, E seven and Edward nine. I think Theo may get to three experience points if he posts a lot; I doubt Ruth and the others will, especially since Ruth will be on vacation. Therefore, you guys shouldn't need to strain yourselves to attend the practice. However, it would be best if you did post at least once; every post goes towards your experience. :)
The posts for the practice need only be short (perhaps not as short as Quidditch ones, but two paragraphs would suffice). C'mon, it's not hard to get a couple of two-paragraph posts up, right? If you can do it every day for Quidditch matches you should be able to do it for a practice. :)
Anyway, tell me if you're NOT up for a practice at all. I will start it this weekend, setting it before the holidays, and it'll probably last until end of January or a bit earlier, depending on when we decide the next match will be and if that will include Ravenclaw. :)

Quick update:
Since August and Edward posted at the end of the match they both have one more post each, which makes brings August's total to ten posts (and one experience point) and Edward's to two (eight more until one experient point). Thanks for posting, guys! :D
If anyone still wants to post they can. I don't know when the game will be archived; probably not until the end of 2008. :)
Oh, and Norah has been dropped, so... well, I might as well mention it here, Kat - perhaps you should consider becoming the main team's other Beater with E? >< Argh. Why are Ravenclaws lacking in Beaters, eh? Lol.

The practice is up (set before the winter holidays) here. Be sure to attend as soon as possible! I need to discuss this with Celia, but I think people should post within two weeks (extended due to Christmas; I know some of you aren't here). Celia, we need to discuss who will become the main Seeker asap, as well as you becoming a Beater, perhaps. I will also remind Ev/Lynne to audition. :)

((feels dirty for posting with a Slythie)) *raises hand* Question! In the practice are the Chasers having a mock game and is it boys vs girls? Or did I miss the point completely?
