We need to figure out what's going on with Directions of Change. I'm losing inspiration to write for Derek quite fast, and I've barely written him at all in the plot posts he was created for. I dropped Matt today because his plot has been put on hold.
Viv, I've been having a hard time with Derek's interaction with Hermione. I don't think that's necessarily your fault at all, don't worry. It's just not going as easily as I was hoping. I just don't know what to write with her, since I haven't read the books and don't know how she might react. It's just not working.
Adam, I know you've been extremely busy, and it's hard for me to write Derek without you. Not necessarily that I need you around to ask questions of how Derek might react, but Adam is Derek's brother, and they haven't interacted at all. I know that wasn't our plan until later, but I'm having a hard time with it.
Overall, I think it might be best for me to retire Derek on 4Houses and have you two NPC him if you need him. I know Adam and I talked briefly about it and that originally he was just going to be an NPC. I guess I was just assuming his role was going to be quicker and easier to play. That didn't happen. It's quite a complicated role, and I think the best way for you two to move on with DoC is to NPC him when you need him, rather than me waiting in the wings for a chance to try and post him well.
