I've just found out that one of my friends has cancer... and I'm just... floored. Utterly, completely, devastatingly floored.

I don't know what to do.

Absolutely no idea. All I know is that when they told me, they weren't joking - which I thought and hoped with all my life they were. God, I really did. But then she said she wasn't joking and I was just... I don't know. I don't think she's online right now. I only just saw the message. I've asked her if it's serious and which type, and all those basic questions. I don't get to see her often so I don't know when the next I can see her will be. *shakes head* I don't know. It's just a bit... shocking.

EDIT: I'm going to go 'cause this has totally drained me... I'm probably not going to get any sleep tonight, yay... lol. Thinking too much.

And nope, Lily's article is also non-existent - as expected to be honest. I already told Lucy that yesterday *nod*. I told her to put her Disneyland pictures in its place if the space needed filling up, hope that's all right because she had said something previously indicating that really she wanted to.

It's been building up. I got a lot of homework before half term to do during half term, but I was preparing for the interview (unnecessarily) on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday; then we went to Warwick on Tuesday morning and didn't come home until Wednesday night. Then I spent all of Thursday recovering by doing absolutely nothing... I also had a driving lesson, an overdue dentist's appointment that had been delayed for months because of inconveniences, and a house-viewing. On Friday I went out with Lucy and Lauren after a long hour at Britannia (family business) in the morning, so I didn't get home till late. Saturday I spent working, shockingly enough, but I only managed to get one long piece of work done. Sunday was Chinese school and continuation of work from the day before.

:P So, as you can see, I now still have:
- English Lit coursework
- History essay
- Two Psychology essays
- Technically two English Lit essays (that Johnson has seemingly forgotten about!)
- Two History mocks to revise for (to revise everything we've done so far!)
- English Lit notes
- Read a book for Eng Lit

I've probably missed something or other out...

I also need to work out stuff for Scrawl... but whatever. ;)

EDIT: Remind me to get you to remove the mention of Lily's article in the Editorial Note before we print it!

She usually gives it to Lucy or you if she can't find me... Maybe it's because of the new form rooms... But she can go to the new common room and I've been spending a lot of time in there today. ^^;;

Oh never mind. She'll give it me tomorrow... I'll go stalk her at lunchtime if I don't have it by then.

By the way, Elsa and co. (i.e. Holly, Eloise, Alana and Georgia) are seemingly taking over our corner even though we have made it clear it's ours with our bags all over the sofas and us sitting on the desks right next to is. D< Uuugh. They just take our bags and MOVE them. ARGH.

Right erm... yup. Well she was very busy today because of all the people here for interviews for Mrs Farrell's job, so she probably forgot because of that. Don't know whether she'll have done it.

Um... yes I told you that they wanted it. We will just have to keep on going and sitting there. *shrug* They can't tell us to move if we're already there, just as we can't tell them to move.

AH YES. The Director of Studies job. *sage nodding* I get it now.

She will by the end of tomorrow. She's much too efficient not to. And if she hasn't then it's not the end of the world. It would be better if it came out on a Monday anyway... I don't care about the dates. ::)
